I agree the trenches are critical, but after Mauigoa and Fano, any OT at 19 would be a huge reach. Get another playmaker for Bryce. It will do more to prove if he's here beyond the rookie contract and will also prove if Canales is here beyond next year. He's supposedly an offensive genius, time to prove it, and a barely average, rookie OT isn't going to help his case. Go look how lost Will Campbell looked in almost every game, and New England managed to win 17 of them thanks to Josh McDaniel and their QB. No doubt OT needs to have natural talent and athleticism, but there is ALOT you can coach into a lineman to get more out of them with later round guys. Versus a skill position where speed, size, and hands are premiums in the first round that you can't match in late rounds unless you get lucky. Our front office and scouting department have never been lucky.

This is the first mock I've seen without him in the first round. Would like the Panthers to upgrade that position and give our QB a security blanket on possession routes to complement what Tet and Jalen can do down the field.

Proctor and Lomu still on the board at 19? I don't think we have the luxury to pass on them after Icky's injury. Anything other than a stud LT in the 1st round if they are still there is the wrong pick. Sure, Styles will be a great pick for anyone that gets him including us. But for us, at what cost? A great defense won't mean a hill of beans if Young is constantly running for his life. Protecting Young should be our biggest priority. If Icky had not been injured then Styles, Parker or Allen would have been fine with me. In fact, with who was left I would have seriously considered taking calls to trade back 5 to 6 spots and gain draft capital.

I think he is 24 or so. Not sure what that means, but it is (in my mind) like shaving 2-3 years off the career. Kinda like when we drafted Chris Weinke. He was 48 I think

He is in interview mode. I like him, but we don't draft from Clemson--we draft So Carolina in Round 1. Its a rule. Seriously, we can grab a great edge in round 2. I think we should trade back, fill 2 needs in round 2 (I think we can find a good Edge and LB in round 2--That would be huge

I do like that NO is probably going RB. I don't know of too many mocks that don't have Love in black and gold. Atlanta will have to buy their way back into R1. The Bucs seem to need what we need, so I am nervous they end up with Styles, or if Downs falls, they swoop in.
