Damn won’t be back until week 4
-
amcoolio started following Coker to IR; Renfrow signed to 53
-
So we just resigned him but placed Coker on IR. Major monkey’s paw situation.
-
The man took a paycut to get up out of here but it's beyond the pale for anyone to suggest he wanted to ride off into the sunset with a different QB room.
-
ESPN just announced that we resigned him.
-
Unfortunately it looks like our idiot defensive staff sees Wharton as a starting nose tackle..... which is insane when we have no less than three far better options at Nose Tackle

In 2024 the Panthers only had the 25th highest run ratio. We were very pass heavy when we ran our O. Biggest issue is we were SUPER inefficient on offense last year. We ran the fewest offensive plays. Horrible on 3rd down. 28th pass completion %. Bryce lead the league in bad pass %. Hard to get those numbers up when you are that inefficient overall as an O. -
Agreed, for me its not derailing every thread and making it about one player with him thats trolling in my book, at some point ill unblock him just because its funny. Touche, at the end of the day we all do WANT the same thing.

Everything revolves around Bryce This Year

Young needs to be the reason they win vs they reason they lose …starting in Jacksonville thats what rd 1 qbs are supposed to do …also cant continually cut down the playbook to cover for his short comings for the franchise, this opening game against Jacksonville is huge They need to win it should they lose, i don't think anyone is up for hearing: ‘it is a long season’ ‘We will go back to work’ ’they did some good things but didn't finish’ ‘Im sure, insert player’s name’ would like to have that one back’ Honestly, i hope for the best with Young but if someone is available in the draft with less physical issues and upside, do it before another year is wasted and make young earn his position -
They must have discussed this before the trade, dude wanted out lol.

It's not just our D its an NFL wide thing, Safeties haven't been pigeon holed like that in a long time. Our D isnt good because it has no depth extremely questionable coaching and low talent.... Not to mention that even in this day an age I still feel like you need a feild general LB to adjust on the feild to offenses.... linebackers may have reduced impact lately but LB is the center of the defense thats were you need guys who can make adjustments.

Just for clarification purposes in 2024 we were 18th in rushing ypg and in 2023 we were 20th. We're not exactly lighting the league up regardless. My understanding is Canales wants to further solidify the run game this upcoming season which is a valid path. But we've still gotta get the passing output up. And realistically with our defense still very much in the rebuilding stages it's fair to ask how often we will be in a position from a clock standpoint where we can just keep running the ball at will. -
To be fair that 2015 team had a lot of guys from a roster that had went 12-4 in 2013 and made the playoffs and one playoff game in 2014 and we had a lot of talent. still I do think we are heading up and should be better than last year. The only question is how much better? I do think Bryce will be better. More experience and a better WR group should help. XL is the one I’m not as confident about. He played poorly last season but I do think that if he can just fix the drops then he can be a solid wr. He seems to know what his problem was and worked on it. Hopefully he will improve. He admitted that he didn’t work as hard as he should have last year and I think that could mean he has focused hard this year. We will soon see.

To be fair I do recall us running the ball a lot so it’s hard to get those numbers up. -
Can't do it, I'm a monogamous fan

Yeah it’s hard to get used to that. I still think of FS as more of the coverage guy and SS as your run support. Our defense is different. Maybe that’s why we haven’t been good on D? Honestly I’m fine with us not signing him and giving Ransom the reps. Let’s see if he’s our future, get him some experience. I honestly would prefer if he played over Nick Scott but I think the coach prefers the experience.

Didn’t 2 go in the first round? Pretty sure Hampton was a first. And I know there was at least 3 in the second. Harvey, Judkins, and Henderson
-
I want to be optimistic about this but I find it unlikely that Moton won't have injury problems here at the tail end of his career. His sheer size is going to lead to lower body injuries.

and yet he wasnt drafted until pick 46 -
With Mr completely I just let him be him. He does have quality posting when he wants. We all troll a bit sometimes. But I think we all more or less want the same things. I appreciate the fact that you and I can have spats but still come back later and be rational adults and not hold months long grudges. So kudos to you for being an adult in the room.

Doesn't matter. 31 other teams didn't draft an already seriously injured player in the second round. We did. So far we've wasted two years of his lower cost rookie contract. Either way it was a waste we can't afford. Is it the players fault? Of course not. But our FO has to use better judgment. It looks like they've learned something so that's at least a plus.

Most owners would want the projected #1 player at their position
