  2. Who are your top three breakout candidates for next season? My three: Jatavion Sanders- Simply put he is the best receiving TE we have had since Olsen. We all saw his potential over that three game stretch prior to his neck injury where he showed a real connection with Bryce. Good route runner with glue for hands, limited blocking upside but he gives solid effort. With Tremble already being hurt I don’t see a reason why he already isn’t our starter and clear future at TE. Trevin Wallace- For a developmental LB forced into a starting role last year he exceeded expectations. LB is one of the hardest positions to adjust to from college, and for a prospect who was widely regarded as very raw, surprisingly he was solid in coverage and only had an 11.9% missed tackle rate. He was overly aggressive consistently, and needs to work on his play recognition. But he is set up to be our best LB next season, and likely starter for years ahead. Even barring reaching his upside, his floor was clearly a lot higher than draft pundits assumed(Morgan can scout LBS). Cade Mayes- I am hopeful Cade wins the starting job at C this season. He may have been our most improved player last season, he looked like an above average starting C after he took over for an injured Corbett. He allowed 0 sacks on 327 pass block snaps. Corbett can not stay healthy, and at this stage in his career Mayes is objectively the better player. Mayes is only 26 and gives us the potential of stability at C, something we have never had since Ryan Kalil retired. Corbett slots in as a great backup C/Guard, and Cade continues to develop and gain more chemistry with Bryce and our stud duo of Hunt/Lewis.
  3. Have to pair them like this for it to work, imo. Slavin - Miller Nikishin - Walker Ghosty - Chatfield I'd prefer something different but that's probably what we end up with unless Ghost is traded to one of the 17 teams not on his MNTC.

  5. You know the party is going to be big once that dope david newton retires
  6. I don’t care how many points you score, if you are a defensemen then you have to be more serviceable than a PNC parking cone in your own end. It was foolish to acquire a third paring guy that needs an elite babysitter next to him in order to be adequate in his own end. Slavin and Burns worked because of how good Slavin is. Ghost and Walker doesn’t work.
  7. You can still trade the first round pick, it goes with the original conditions set forth in the sign and trade. The team that acquires the pick agrees to those terms and the pick is still dependent on where the Canes and Stars finish.
  8. I saw it and was very impressed. XL will step up in the #2 role. He is perfect for that role. I am just so excited about our WR corps, I wake up in the middle of the night screaming, "Just throw the ball!!!" I had no idea my wife kept a bowling ball on her side of the bed for occasions such as that.
  9. The shoes. Brand new white shoes. I am sure that went through his mind...Save the shoes or the four wheeler. Forget the friend--you need smarter friends.
  10. You're fooling yourself if you think he was here for his defensive prowess. Guy had 45 points last season. That's the only reason he was on the roster.
  11. I'm warming up to the idea of trading LaMelo but the the character concerns around him are nonsense. This goofy town gave Cam hell for wearing his frustration on the sidelines and now we're mad that LaMelo isn't. Should be more thankful that despite his closest teammate being an aspiring thug and the entire world trying to get him out of Charlotte he's not like Ja Morant.
  12. I think a lot depends on health and if T-Mac pulls targets away from him. Hopefully, we can get both T-Mac and Sanders cooking. If AT doesn't drop off, that would make for some potentially formidable receiving threats.
  13. Bro got them pearly white shoes dirty. XL seems like a good guy. I’m hoping he takes off this year on the field.
  14. Yeah it’s just too bad there’s not another Hornets franchise out there for us to trade all these second round picks to for a lotto pick.
  15. Yea Ghost was really disappointing last year
  16. Building depth is so nice to see. Team looks much better.
  17. This team is deep: G - Ball, Mann, Simpson G - Sexton, Knueppel, McNeeley, Smith F - Miller, Connaughton, Green, Okogie, James F - Bridges, Williams, Salaun C - Diabate, Kalkbrenner, Plumlee
  18. Okay, so I can say it a little more nicely that he was "barely productive in his rookie season." There is zero comparison between these players accomplishments in their rookie years. Quite frankly, given what we have seen from XL so far we would all be very lucky for him to end up as a top 15 WR in franchise history. Cam's talent was very evident, significantly less so for XL. It's obvious that he is an athlete and very much less so that he is a football player. Don't get me wrong, I am not rooting against him because that doesn't help us at all. The pick is already spent for better or worse. I am just firmly in the camp that doesn't really think he will pan out. I also think he will firmly be entrenched as the 3rd or 4th option by the end of this upcoming season. Hope he proves me wrong.
  19. Gotta wonder if all those moves happen if they bumped Jarvis to 2C and Blake up. That line up would stand a chance against FL
  20. Ehlers will help but we desperately need a 2C and to be honest we need to move on from Ghost. Slavin can carry someone like EK but Walker isn’t good enough to carry Ghost. I’d like: Ehlers - Aho - Jarvis Svechnikov - 2C - Stankoven Carrier - Staal - Martinook Hall - Jankowski - Blake Slavin - Karlsson Miller - Chatfield Nikishin - Walker
  21. All day it was three teams. Car wash and Tampa. Heard it on multiple networks. he will be a cane by dinner time tmrw
  22. Damn, that’s legit. Last I saw, we were letting him test FA after acquiring Sexton. I didn’t think they were even gonna attempt to bring him back. Love that as long as he can keep his back in good shape. I have degenerative discs, so it can be a task…. Love the move though. and although I joke about the lighter complexion of our recent pickups, the I’m legit kind of excited about the UConn kid.
  23. Last I heard reported that he was down to a couple of teams with Carolina being one of them.
  24. This means we can't trade the other one at the deadline
  25. It’s nobody’s business how XL lives his life, football related or not. It’s his bank account. Just as it is with any other career, in the NFL, everybody is replaceable. I’m sure his contract has numerous infractions that will result in a breach.
  26. Laughs at all who bash XL. He was as I expected him to be on his ROOKIE year. He is the one in the receiving room who stands the most to gain with the new additions on offense. But, dont let me stop y'all from doing what you're doing.
