Those games last year were when the season was over. When the games mattered last year he was absolute booty cheeks. Until he delivers when pressure is truly on in a game that matters my opinion won't change

And both of those interceptions were because of super poor throws. Yeah the WR slipped on second one but that ball never had a chance in hell. Mike Jackson was all over it Penix looked awful. Missed a lot of routine throws

Gworl, where is the stat line? It takes so much less time to type out 68% completion percentage, 2 TDs (at least one passing), 225+ yards than it does to try and unsuccessfully find a witty response.

We gifted them one of those FGs with a dropped punt so I wouldn’t give the Falcons much credit for the first one. We also kept Penix from getting comfortable. Evero was dialing up some blitzes and it worked.

Penisero was cocky and couldnt back it up.... always acted way better than he actually was.

It's almost like the Falcons' defense gave up points, OL gave up pressure, and targets dropped passes. Who would have thought that such actions could have an effect on the outcome of a football game?

I also think people are looking at the shutout and 30 point win and forgetting that it only happened because of two missed FGs and Penix gifting us some turnovers that were his fault and not something our defense caused. So yea, we won, we had a shutout, but I'd still say those things were much more because of the Falcons own mistakes than us forcing them into those.

You're exerting a ton of effort to avoid just giving numbers. What is the bare minimum stat line for a #1 overall pick? As the resident expert on #1 overall pick performance expectations you must have some kind of consistent baseline to apply, right? We kept him contained and Penix struggled mightily. But the D also capitalized on his mistakes in a way I haven't really seen them do in a while. The D really did step up even if Penix was atrocious.

I mean, that’s one way to evaluate today. I think we’ve outscored opponents 50-7 over the last 6 quarters. We had some shockingly unfortunate bounces against the cards in the first half. Didn’t love everything I saw today but it’s hard to argue with the production we’re seeing in that small sample size. Jacksonville also looks pretty darn good through 3 games. Canales may not be it, bryce may not be it, but for the first time since David tepper came to town I think the trajectory is pointed up. Jaycee, DB and Tetaroia are legit stars.
