  2. Virginia would get murdered in the Playoffs. Duke obviously wouldn't be allowed in the Playoffs.
  3. Duke have the tiebreaker because they lost to GT and Virginia - which strengthens their schedules. You couldn't make it up. The Canes would beat them both by four scores. Alas, the ACC is stupid.
  4. How is 10-2 'crapping your pants'? Alabama lost to FSU ffs.
  5. Only thing I have seen/heard fron guys like Ellis, council, person and Kaye lately is to let things "play out" with the last 5ish games. Plenty of time to discuss Bryce in the off season. As if the last 5 games will change anyone's mind.
  6. As difficult as it may seem to believe, many times a good player is drafted into the wrong system and gets discouraged. Ironically, the later you are drafted, the less time you are given to make your mark. These are basically kids. Players develop differently, and they catch on at different times. We seem to be good at developing talent on the OL, CB, and maybe RB. We seem to struggle at WR, S, QB, LB and Edge. I actually think (moving forward) that our CB room is pretty solid and a mild surprise. I have been pleased with the development of Smith-Wade, Thornton, and Jackson. Throw in Horn, and that is a solid room, based on my observations.
  7. Beamer gotta get gone. That's it that's the message.
  8. I would rotate him in to edge as well. 6’4” and 240 and athletic as he is, he can’t be worse than DJ Johnson was
  9. He played really well after the FSU loss. He balled against Georgia, Vandy, Tennessee, and LSU. However, he has regressed over the course of the season. It seems to like teams finally have tape on him, and Bama’s offense under Ryan Grubb in general, and are scheming to affect it. I think he needs to stay at Bama for another year. He has some development that needs to happen. I’d be interested to see how he responds next year to the changes teams have made to him based on his tape.

I know he’s considered a jack of all trades and master of none. But going back to his time with Arizona, one of the first games I watched him in, he stuck a ball carrier in OT I believe, against the Raiders, caused a fumble that was returned for a TD. If you look at his stats, they aren’t mind-blowing, but they’re impressive for a guy who has played several different positions in the league. He seems to always have made plays that win his team’s games. My hope is, maybe being forced to sign him, that maybe we just found another Hasson Reddick-type of deal.

  13. It just doesn’t seem to be in the cards. Panthers would have to have at least a +2 turnover differential AND score 14+ points off those turnovers. Then, we might find ourselves in this game. Maybe Stafford has a Bryce-like 1st quarter. Even then, they can score so fast we would struggle to keep up. They could spot us 2 tds and still come back to beat us. With all our injuries on D, it’s hard to imagine keeping them within one score headed into the 4th. That said…if we are within a score late in the 4th, maybe we have a shot. That’s not how I see this going though… LAR 10 7 10 6 33 CAR 3 3 7 3 16
  14. Don’t worry. There’s probably a Joe Person/Matt Rhule or Scott Fowler/Frank Reich type article in the works but it will be focused on Bryce at the end of the year. One of those guys always holds it in and then blasts an article when the time is right.
  15. 3 years unless you’re a useless idiot like Matt Rhule. Dave has a better record than Rivera at this point. Also had a better record than Kyle Shanahan at this point. The head coaches that come in and flip things in one year, usually take over a good roster that the previous coach was to stupid to utilize.
  16. If we win it’ll be like the KC or Philly game last year but we actually finish it. It would look similar to the Dallas game this year. Two things we have going for us is it will be 10am their time- none under 70 degrees. And they have only played 4 games outside this year. It will be in the 40s and rainy tomorrow. Also they haven’t done well playing out east, they allowed 20 to Tennessee, only put up 17 against Baltimore, and lost to Philly when they have. I doubt any of that matters tomorrow.
  17. Yeah but Sirianni is more of a dufus. I think Johnson is ridiculously arrogant and not in the good way. Have you seen his post game speeches where he acts like Nic Cage in gone in 60 seconds? He is super cringe. With the way he acts, if they were 3-9 instead of 9-3, he’d be fired by now.
  18. Find their Gatorade cooler and add a little something something
  19. Well sh*t. The Panthers winning this game hasn't even crossed my mind.
  20. The problem is even in this scenario, it's hard to have a former #1 overall pick and 3 year starter since they were drafted, then be in a true open competition, as if he loses it, having that guy around as a backup is just weird. Bryce isn't the guy, it's time to just admit it and move on. Trade him for whatever the best offer is for him (if there is any) and then find a Brissett or Jameis type (or one of them) next year. Someone with a live arm who at worst will be able to help our young pass catchers get better with a real QB throwing them the ball.
  21. LMAO. WTF are you talking about? That's not any of the tie breaking criteria.
  22. The tie breaker is points scored? That's NUTS Duke gets in over Miami, or Tech, or SMU, or Pitt.
  23. That would cause a revolt. It's just reverting back to the original BCS or newspaper rankings.
  24. Reporters are already talking about the committee saying 'fug the rules' and putting Miami in if Duke wins. I mean, honestly, I would not be surprised if they consider it.
