Official Week 3: Panthers vs. Falcons Gameday Thread

That’s what makes me fuging hate Gettleman. Generational talent in Cam, and that’s an understatement, and he had him protected with converted defensive linemen, NAIA standouts, career journeymen who spent most of their time on practice squads, and then traded away his greatest weapon, gave him guys who run slower than most fan’s walk and told him to figure it out. What a fuging waste. -
I honestly didn't know if he would or not. I didn't know if he'd have NFL speed or if he'd be able to be as physical at the NFL level but early in the answer is yes and yes.
-
I didn’t think he would translate but he certainly does
-
I don’t think he comes to games anymore. I haven’t seen the camera show him in a press box since middle of the season last year. Several people say he is rarely even around anymore. I think he was at a practice a while back.
-
I said Bryce’s was nothing new. The other ones are definitely weird.

We won, but Bryce and Canalas still blow

I still have reservations but 3rd and medium or long we mostly went pressure today rather than Evero's typical soft zone. So yeah, credit is due. -
Lot of NFL is PR and bologna though. In real time, teams often say things publicly that are different behind the scenes. with Bakers comments today, it wouldn’t be wild for the Panthers to just say we are trading you…..and we will be happy to put it out there you wanted out to make it not look as horrible for you and your career
-
In little man’s defense he put that deep ball right on McMillan but the refs missed that his arm was being held.

Agreed, but I’m glad for the win today. Being at a Falcons bar, draped in panthers gear, felt good. They didn’t embarrass me today and I got to talk alot of crap. Today was a good day. -

I saw Mays get chucked a few times. He is a downgrade from Corbett in some ways. But, at least he can snap the ball well. Man, Corbett was on quite the streak of terrible snapping performances

Skattebo is a dog. This kid is gonna be just fine.
-
Don't be so sure. This is the Panthers under David Tepper...doubling, even tripling down on dumb decisions is our calling card.
-
Don't speak it into existence. It's like saying Beetlejuice 3 times.
-
Ryan Fitzgerald received the game ball. Good for him.

You guys better enjoy this win because it might be the only one they get this season. If it is so be it. I personally loved watching Atlanta fall apart at the hands of the worst team in the league. -
We are usually trailing, that was my point. I guess most average NFL QBs can play 'not to lose' when out front with a lead and the defense pitching a shutout.
-
If you go to ESPN profile page for Bryce Young they have his updated YPA for today and a projection. It's not a weird enough year for one of the least physically imposing QB's in the league to only be averaging more yards per attempt than a struggling rookie project.

My fiance and I were at the game and I'm glad we won. Crowd was noisy all game! There were missed opportunities to get more points for sure, but glad defense stepped up today with the turnovers and pressure on penix. -
I’d like to see what Canales can do with a real QB prospect that has NFL traits and size
