  1. Past hour
  2. I heard on some random news show this AM: (At 5 am-- I am rarely up then--I think ESPN (A white dude, a black dude, and a white chick) If the Panthers beat the Saints, they have a 70% chance to make the playoffs. If they lose, TB has a 70% chance. To me, that is high. With 2 games vs Tampa Bay left and a Dec 28 games vs. the Seahawks, I would say the percentage should be about 55-60%.
  3. yeah, with a 7-10 finish and borderline top 10 pick still being on the spectrum of finish possibilities (at still wouldn't log as the best Tepper season given we have gotten in a different really weird season that didn't make a lot of since).
  4. There’s something happening here, what it is ain’t exactly clear… Bad and untalented teams don’t beat the Rams, Packers and Cowboys. Hell, even in our most dominant seasons those 3 wins would be very impressive. 3 of our losses were by the best teams in the AFC (Pats, Jags, Bills). They swept the falcons, our kryptonite team. Screwed the pooch in Nola and San Fran. Should have beat SF. That still stings. This has been one of the hardest schedules this team has had in recent memory. Going up against the best teams in the AFC and NFC, actually winning a few and now 2 wins away from the playoffs??? They used to be considered the team NOBODY with playoff aspirations wanted to play in December, and that rings true once again. It’s Far cry from the get right game they were not that long ago.
  5. Lol. I know. We’ve got a whole thread about the ups and downs. We still have a chance at the playoffs if we can stop losing after every win. I just hate the heaps of praise on our front office when we’ve still got a ton of real holes even with some really good wins.
  6. Yeah. Tepper seemed to have sucked all hope out of Charlotte the second his plane landed after buying the team.
  7. Yes I am ok with winning the division.
  8. Saw this on IG this morning. If it had the "game...blouses" comment, I missed it. lol nice touch
  9. I can’t believe I just actually read that. You play the games to win. Period. Everything else is just background noise
  10. Yes and only one game removed from that total 49ers ass whooping lol.
  11. I really hate when we get this optimistic and act like this team is right at the cusp. We beat the Rams by 3 even though we had a pick 6, forced another 3 turnovers, had no turnovers and scored two long TDs on 4th down. All that and we still needed Brown to strip Stafford to keep them from forcing OT. I’m all in and will be at next week’s game but we aren’t anything like some of our past playoff teams that were legitimate SB contenders. We’re just the only team above .500 (by a half game) in the worst division. There is still a lot of work to be done and we still need good drafts. Tet’s been great but Scourton and Princely aren’t blowing up. A lot of playing time but man we still need more top players. One or two injuries to our stars and we suck.
  12. It is tough to beat any NFL team twice in a year. The Panthers are more talented than the Saints and now have tape on their rookie QB. They have to win this game and it will speak volumes if they don't with the implications.
  13. I looked it up. Apparently what we're seeing here is something called "optimism". Haven't really encountered that sort of thing much in this forum
  14. Yea and they did. They won the titles in 2002, 2014 and 2024, but the games were all played in January of the NFL year we went to the SB. OSU championship happens first and then the NFL year starts with us playing Jax week 1 and then we go to the SB.
  15. I will say next season will be the real test. Still learning how to win close games and building the team. Few more pieces to complete the team. Happy to see what they have accomplished so far.
  16. Last year after the bye week, the Panthers almost beat the Chiefs and looked excellent. Not much history, but all we have with Canales young tenure.
  17. I'm waiting until this entire odd season plays out fully to really judge anything. Or maybe I should say, change what the last several years has locked into place. This is one of the weirder seasons I have seen and hardest teams to really judge. Its a very schizophrenic team/season. And there are 2 very different ways the finish could present and the board would view things vastly different from both ends of the at finish spectrum.
  18. I hope you are right on this. I feel like we are turning a corner. The next 2 games will tell.
  19. Not from me... WCO was designed to respond to high pressure. In the face of what the Saints were doing, SOP would have been to run draws, screams, misdirection, etc. Canales just kept going back to the same well.
  20. Why would he give us bulletin board material like this
  21. These guys have done the work and have build the culture needed to succeed. Tillis from the Chiefs has been a great choice. Knows how to built a successful roster. Morgan has made some very good picks and FA signings. Canales is going to be a very HC in the long run. Tepper has stepped back and let his guys cook. Excited to see what tomorrow brings for this team. Hats off to these guys and how they are building this franchise. Keep pounding
  22. Doesn’t matter. The fact we are in playoff contention already locks BY in as the starter for next year. Zero chance the team decides to start over with a new QB.
  23. I love the old Panther's player remaining faithful and holding division grudges for years after their career lol. https://x.com/Jonathanstewar1/status/1999339469288489117?s=20
