  1. Past hour
  2. Honestly I haven no idea what I would have even done last night, Edgecomb was the most realistic option to improve our team
  3. He doesn't have the athleticism to play in the NBA. He had the worst numbers of anyone who worked out in this draft. He's legitimately the least athletic player in this draft, which is saying something. His ceiling is Kyle Korver, with his lack of athleticism he's more likely to be out of the league in 5-6 years like Jimmer Fredette.
  4. Well, he was in probably every NBA franchise's top 6 or 7. Obviously it's nice to take the swing and it work out. But when a guy refuses to work out for your team, is probably the guy refusing to play with LaMelo, has sketchy handlers, etc.? You want...to take that swing? A desperate team does, sure. Which the Hornets are. But a smart team doesn't. Which is what they will hopefully become. Kon isn't a superstar, but his floor is Kyle Korver. Is that what you want in the 4th pick? Not really, but he's your 4th guy on a good team and what I think Charles Lee wants in a player. Trade down would've been nice, but for who? Tre Johnson would've been my guy, but he's gone if we trade with Brooklyn. If Washington wanted Ace, I doubt it would've taken much to come get him. Trade down and get Maluach (knowing you're trading Mark) would make sense and may have been the play, but I think Kon helps the team on the court and changing a culture. Not so sure about some of the guys in the 8-12 range.
  5. He's already said he's ok with them taking him and ready to get to work
  6. That’s the Hornets problem in a nut shell. Can’t get the #1 pick EVER when a generational talent is in the draft then when they go the safe pick route it still doesn’t work out. Forget about drafting a raw developmental player because they have no history of being able to do that either.
  7. The least athletic player in this draft at #4 is god awful. Yes his numbers back up that he's the least athletic player in this draft.
  8. Even with the shooting ability, he's worthless. He has no athleticism at all, that's a bench player at best.
  9. With what was available, you had to take the swing or trade back. Kon wasn't worth taking with the 4th pick and wasn't in my top ten. He's at best a 6th man type player on a really good team. You either trade back or take Ace at 4.
  10. JEEZ... It's refreshing to be having a preseason discussion about which promising WR we have to cut instead of which crappy WR we have to keep! Loved DMo as a player, Loving him as a GM!
  11. I was assuming Blackshear was gone anyway. Or at least PS.
  12. I literally read this 15 minutes ago, but it sums up my feelings perfectly. FYI, the article was about 3 players on the bubble. The author's opinion seems to be Horn is a lock and Renfrow and Moore are fighting for that last spot. David Moore, WR The Panthers' wide receiver room is crowded. There aren't many available spots, at least from the outside looking in. That raises the stakes considerably for those further down the pecking order fighting for recognition. David Moore is among them. The former seventh-round selection is a trusted ally of Dave Canales from three separate NFL stops. He's a solid if not spectacular player, although he underwhelmed when tasked with significant responsibilities during the previous campaign. Moore is battling it out for the sixth wideout spot alongside Hunter Renfrow, Kobe Hudson, and Jacolby George. It could go either way, but Canales' faith and his ability to impact special teams might be enough to get a reprieve."
  13. Until LaMelo is traded, this is an unserious organization anyway. There's an insane lack of talent, and the talent all comes with baggage and injury concerns. I assume the OP was about passing on Ace...but he's exactly the type of prospect doomed to bust here and compound on to the problems with all of his rumored sketchiness.
  14. Today
  15. Profit sharing among owners. More ‘desirable’ matchups garner more viewership, leads to more revenue generated and more profit for everyone invested. Y’all don’t think there will ever be a Titans vs Panthers SB, do you? lol, yeah right. Tampa vs Jacksonville? Now that’s funny. Now, do I think there is ‘the man’ who overlords over all of this? Nah, but bias, even among refs, owners and media can, will, does, and always exist when there is $$ involved. Refs are people too. Probably football fans, and as such, probably have a favorite team and a favorite player ( why would a non-fan ever become a ref). There is no way officiating will be completely impartial when this is the case. Might be an interesting idea (not in a stalker ish way) to see where each ref grew up/lives, then you could see their likely allegiance. What if 2 refs officiated the same game and they both grew up in say SF, Dallas, Philly or New York? Impartial officiating. Nah. Would you be? Panthers need a FG to advance in the playoffs, it’s third and long with 45 sec left in the game… obvious hold on your Your team’s center? You calling that? Don’t lie, you know you wouldn’t.
  16. Player Culture vs Staff Culture What are some pros and what are some cons of this?
  17. Somehow never getting the #1 pick since what, 91? When you have a team as bad as this team for the last 25 years there should have been more chances at number 1 and that's how you know the NBA is a bad product for most teams' fans.
  18. This franchise is truly bottom feeder level. Terrible draft.
  19. I think they look at it as investment first too which is why it makes sense. It's nefarious if your not fiscally invested and spend money and time on it. That's why people are still cheering on Luigi... I still think it would take a few big scandals to change much. See how long Snyder was around and what he was up to the entire time.
  20. But talentless teams don't need more talent according to Mitch. But I guess he couldn't come out and say Micheal is cheap as fug so we traded the pick.
  21. I hate this team. New owners new GM new coach same turd franchise
  22. It’s in the running for worst franchise in pro sports no doubt about it. Always without fail missing the star players over and over.
  23. I just left my mark. Which also has a strong fragrance...
  24. And one of the bigs went off the board immediately after. Wouldn’t be surprised to see another big go before we pick again.
