  1. Past hour
  2. Using "you can won a Super Bowl with an average passing game", is peak. After spending enormous capital and drafting/signing offense HEAVY for a qb taken #1 overall and this is the take. I absolutely do not get the excuses.
  3. Canales wants the timing of the WR and QB to develop, the QB to demonstrate his ability to adjust pre snap and get out of a deep pass with a poor defensive matchup, and building confidence in an offense to play strong fundamental football. When those 3 criteria come together, the Panthers will increase their deep shots.
  4. Wow, OP, you really changed my opinion on drafting a QB in the first. Next season, I promise not to draft a QB in the first round.
  5. NFL football being played outside where football is meant to be played will likely be nothing but a memory before too long. Every new stadium being built is gonna be a dome. Not surprised the Chiefs are moving though. Outside of the area they're moving to the entire KC metro area is a poo hole.
  6. XL has had some good and bad moments, but is improving. Some of the other posters have pointed out the offense, and BY are really making development and success harder.
  7. One thing in the Panthers favor is that game the Seahawks played in last week. Those types of emotional wins are hard to replicate next week.
  8. You can certainly win a SB with a below average passing game but this isn't really the roster to make that argument because we have gone above and beyond financially to try and elevate this passing game following the 2023 season to the detriment of other areas particularly the defense. If we want to take another step forward to close the season we can't keep laboring to score 20 points and expecting the other team to make mistakes. The Panthers have had only 4 games this season of 30 or more points while the Seahawks have had 8. This is the right matchup at the right time to measure where we're really at.
  9. I think so. People are still conflating winning while Bryce Young is playing, and Bryce Young playing well. Bryce Young still struggles beyond belief to eclipse a lousy 200 yards passing. There simply aren't opportunities through the air for any of the receivers. Coker appears to be the clear #2 man right now and he's only getting one or two decent opportunities a game. If he or a guy like TMac had a real QB they'd have staggering numbers, and I suspect XL would be having a solid season as well. A receiver getting "cold" is a very real thing. Legette gets one or two targets a game. Watch his tape. The dude is getting open.
  10. Today
  11. This. We're scheming up deep shots specifically on short down and distance to go when teams are gearing up anticipating the run.
  12. It still happens a lot in strength sports. Its typically a pretty devastating injury.
  13. I can go cherry pick a random team that has little do with anything and make the counter to your argument. No point. You can’t make an argument the pass attack with Bryce isn’t weak and erratic. Stats and eye test prove both. All 3 years. Merry Christmas. Off to church, then some family eating paired with the proper amount of adult beverages as to not make the wife mad, and then Santa Claus work. Until another day. I hope everyone that wants them gets their official Bryce Young pajamas for Christmas (XS).
  14. So you are proving my point, you can win a SB with below average passing game And the panthers currently are near the bottom in terms of contracts for skill position players, are highest paid offensive player is Moton at 44 million which extremely cheap relative to other teams. The eagles have about 5 guys on there offense with bigger contracts than that
  15. Yeah… going back and forth with you is pointless. Presented with actual relevant analytics and its… ”eyes don’t lie” well when you have no idea what you’re watching they do
  16. It’s 2025, not 2000. You can play or you can’t given the state of offense in today’s NFL. It’s all figured out pretty quickly who people are and aren’t. everyone basically channeling their inner Matt Rhule on Bryce Young. I’m telling you, year 4 or 5 he is going to show you! Year 7 would be the worst case scenario. Everyone knows about that magic 7th season.
  17. In theory, you can argue anything. We have a weak and erratic pass attack. It just is what it is. The eye don’t lie. Well it lies once every season. In Atlanta lol
  18. True enough but medical procedures a have been rapidly advancing and you would have to think he has access to the best doctors, therapists, etc. So is it the same as it was ten years ago? 5 years? I don’t know but would think the possibility exists that they can fix and rehab it. I mean, I have seen him get pushed around before so am not calling him Superman. But just say that maybe a guy goes down this week, you never know, our depth is pretty thin. If he could be available we would certainly be better off.
  19. Yep a 24 year old still trying to figure it out himself 3 seasons with 3 totally different WR’s to start each year. 2 different systems Then like you said a bunch of young pass catchers that are trying to figure out things themselves. Bryce is older than both Coker and TMac. This is such a young group TMac and Coker understand the game though. Understand soft spots in zones. Understand coverages. Spacing. Route running. These are the types Young excels with. It’s why Young was able to extend the careers of Adam Thielen and David Moore. I’d like to see us add a legit deep threat still though and a pass catching TE so Young can take advantage of the MOF which is something he’s proven he’s more than capable of
  20. Sure, you have to make up for it elsewhere… #2 D paired with the #2 rush attack (paired with an essentially cheat short yardage play). We dumped our resources into having a really good passing attack presently that in theory should be making up for the areas that would take an hit in the build. Which is another reason so much is Bryce centric. What in theory should be the biggest strength is the weakest link.
  21. And since week 9 Bryce Young is 8th in EPA+CPOE composite Like I said he’s been playing like a top 10 QB and I’ll go with the stats that actually matter versus the same 4-5 “expert” huddlers that have been exposed countless times
