Anybody that thinks Nijman is even close, is ignoring how horrible our run game was.

Is This A Correct Backdoor to the Playoffs?
carolinanimal replied to coffee's topic in Carolina Panthers
The backdoor is for special occasions only. -
please follow the current boring rule about one week at a time, when whatever the off-season happens it will last for months, plenty of time to post about the season then. Last week there was fuging people posting about playoffs being a lock- ONE WEEK AT A TIME. For the first time since the 2018 playoffs panthers are in the hunt/race, bonus is leading the NFC south. Off-season has plenty of dead periods to suck each other off.....

No, Bryce leads a bottom 3rd offense every season…..and individual contribution is also bottom 3rd. Shough’s situation is complete trash in terms of talent around him. Folks calling the Saints more talented is the definition of how Bryce causes people to break their brains/logic defending him. and that was just an in division example as icing on the cake of much more clear cut examples of the Bryce issue. QB and OC. Thats the golden goose. That’s where we lack. Bare minimum we need to address 1 next year. Big picture, both

Yea unlike me. I disappeared an only come back to be like oh poo we won against a good team? cool now we lose against the worst. Panther poo. Hoping BY hits puberty so he can maybe slang the rock with some umph moving forward though. Young fellas(see what I did there) otherwise playing well though besides BY.

I look at it like, you have to go back to 2017 pre Tepper to have more wins than Canales gets as HC. Rivera had 11 in 2017, slipped to 7 in 2018, and we know the rest. That is kind of a big deal to me. We are ahead of where I expected, position wise, even if it is due to TB folding in the second half of the year. Bottom line, we are assured of playing for the division title on the last day of the season. I don’t ask for more, on a year to year big picture basis. Give me that every year for the floor - I won’t revolt. I don’t know if it’s really a win any more than getting playoff game will be a win, unless they actually win it, but I would say we have had a positive year, exceeded most expectations.

So your argument is Bryce isn’t a top 5 QB? I don’t care, Shough is almost 27 and is playing with more talented team than Bryce had his rookie season. Kellen Moore is also a more creative designer of offense.
-
Yeah, I knew that’s what you are looking for. Top tier QB talent that rises all boats. Shough hasn’t proven crap but his team is crap….and 7 starts in he blowing rookie Bryce out of the water and producing more offense as a stater than year 3 Bryce does for his team. 4-3 as a starter and carrying big loads. Which is relevant to the Bryce conundrum. Bryce haters don’t actually hate Bryce. We want the Panthers fixated on building a great team. And it’s the the key O spots that get you there…..which are weak links present day

Official Week 16: Bucs @ Panthers Gameday Thread

Gotta love the alt accounts spamming poo reactions 24 hours after the game. -
People have different standards. For me this season isn’t a win unless we win the division and make the playoffs. Because if we don't it will be largely because we couldn't split with the Saints and that is to me an embarrassing failure considering the state of the division. Win the next two games and erase all doubt.

I think the Pack can beat anyone. They have a solid team. Should have won that Bears game. I hope we make the playoffs just to give our players a taste of the playoffs.

To be playing a meaningful game on the final game of the season is definitely a win. I think our goal this season was to be competitive each game. While we got blown out a few times we also beat some of the best teams in the league. We're home this week and if our fans come out and really get after the Seahawks our Panthers are going to be so hyped up, we're going to break the see-saw season.

Maye and Allen are two of the best QBs in the NFL right now. And Allen has a top flight o-line while Maye has a great OC. Shough hasn’t proven crap, he’s played two of the worst defenses in the NFL and has around 40 pass attempts per game, he better be putting up volume yards.
