At the end of the day they created the whole spectacle. Nobody made them make a public announcement for attention declaring they were done after one blowout loss. They could have said absolutely nothing and just taken a week or even a month off and who would have noticed or cared or complained? The Panthers haven't had a winning season since 2017 so if they couldn't handle losses why did they even start a podcast to begin with?
