I 100% see Pete Carroll's influence on Canales O' in Tampa and now Carolina. Canales is very much old school in terms of building out his offensive gameplan and play calling.

Having Coker get hurt makes the Thielen trade look a lot worse. There were a few plays--the XL sideline non-catch, two near-misses to Renfrow on the sideline--that Coker probably makes if he's in the game instead. Still...yikes.

If we could keep them off the field with some sustained drives that resulted in TDs instead of FG's I think that would at least keep us out of the top 10 worst defenses in the NFL. I also think they'd play harder if the thought they could win if they could hold the opponent to 24 points or less.

Dalton will be gone. They cannot dump all their qb's at once. You are suggesting they replace all of them, granted they all do need it. But that not feasible in one offseason. If there's a new coach he will have to bring in a new vet that can run his system if that's the case. Counting on a rookie right out of the gate is how we got here. Thise team doesn't have enough talent to favor a rookie right out of the gate.

Thr guy who beat him yesterday in his first HC game was a better OC in his one year in TB too. DC is still overrated but it looks like that should adjust as this goes along

One problem I've had with T-Mac since we chose him is that he has this "cooler than you" vibe. And it's something he works at creating. And that might be part of those one-hand grab attempts. Always trying for the catch that ends up on the poster, yanno? And that leads to, well, drops. In the end zone. Be a professional, catch the ball, make the touchdown.

I don't think we are there yet. I think it was just sloppy football overall in week one. It wasn't like there was a bunch of exceptional rushing performances. On the contrary, there were three RB's over 82 yards rushing in Week 1(minus tonight's game).

for all the "dawg" talk....Panthers have essentially no attitude on the entire roster. I mean, you can maybe make the Horn argument because of his play style but even Horn comes off as a pretty dang nice dude. The ending of the Ron/Cam era.....ended the dawgs in Carolina. Think Rhule couldn't handle a locker room if they existed. And we have never added them back once that house cleaning occurred.

Get Austin Corbett out of there. If he can't snap the ball OR block, what good is he? It's not like we don't have two other players who have shown they're capable of playing center.
