  1. Past hour
  2. It wasn't Evans they were trying to luck into it was Metcalf
  3. How many years into his career is a coach green? Second year, apparently. Will he still be green next year? is this how Bryce is still a young qb learning the league in year three?
  4. Don't forget Dalton "has been instrumental in the development of Bryce Young" (ESPN). At least we won't have to pay any of the bonuses.
  5. It does happen. People are very spoiled by the recent spate of late 30's and early 40's effective QB's.
  6. Shaq knowing the calls and nothing being changed, apparently, is the biggest issue. Or maybe right alongside the 31st run D argument. it is a major fugup. Maybe some signals compromised in the Jax game too if you listen to Saleh. But Shaq knowing the checks and stuff is something you Have to account for. I had that in mind and then we lost the board for hours and just forgot it. Here is where I believe you have to be with a green coach: you know you are going to get rookie mistakes, you see if he learns from it. Two games for the Chuba issue. He is a team captain and got some deference. I didn’t like it especially after we saw the Jets game but I get it. And let’s not pretend if a good run D wants to shut RICO down, they can’t do it. Because they will. Somebody will.
  7. Andy started to fall apart in 2018 with a torn thumb ligament and only had one 3k+ year after that, 2019. Not all QBs can play until 40 but a non-running QB falling apart at 32 is a bit surprising. He hit that cliff hard by 2020.
  8. Wait until Tucker Kraft and Love try out those seams yeeee doggie
  9. The team waived defensive tackle Jaden Crumedy and signed outside linebacker Trevis Gipson off the 49ers practice squad. The 28-year-old Gipson has appeared in 59 games during his career, with 11.0 sacks. He was most recently active with the 49ers, playing in three games and recovering a fumble. Originally a fifth-round pick of the Bears out of Tulsa, he's also spent time with the Jaguars and Seahawks. They also brought back rookie offensive tackle Michael Tarquin to the practice squad. He was here throughout the offseason and training camp and was released from the practice squad last week. To make room for him, they released practice squad cornerback Michael Reid. https://www.panthers.com/news/panthers-make-a-change-on-defense-add-outside-linebacker-trevis-gipson
  10. Didn’t he get lit up a couple weeks ago? I mean the poor guy has really bad UC or Crohns. He’s small and he can’t keep weight on. Hes also had the poo knocked out of him a couple times this year.
  11. Look at Rivera with Cam and how his ineptitude wasted his talents.
  12. Today
  13. I dunno Ladd would be pretty sweet catching 15 check downs and quick slants a game. And he knows how to play with shitty QBs. Poor guy would have been a top ten pick if not for Carson Beck
  14. Keeping him as DC was the big fumble of the offseason. A more competent DC has to be on the books for next season.
  15. I don't think he is washed but he is a guy that can probably only fit in selected areas. He's always been a fairly limited player in some regards. I am sure given injuries there would be ample interest for him, however.
  16. yall in here talking crazy about Canales, like the Panthers aint 4-4. they didn't win their 4th game till week 16 last year. he is about as safe as a coach can be in the NFL. you ask for progress and competitiveness that's what this looks like
  17. Renfrow is really a 1 of 1 on the roster. He isn't a natural fit for Dave's O or Bryce (given Bryce can't stand tall in the pocket and slice up folks with quick hitters). Renfrow wanted to stay home and prove he could comeback. He did it. From a fit standpoint, Renfrow probably could be pretty dang solid somewhere....but he has zero interest in leaving the area again. He doesn't look washed at all to me. He looks like a horrible fit. But I think he just really wanted to scratch the itch in his backyard one last time.
  18. He has very poor chemistry with Bryce. Bryce has been throwing him a lot of 50/50 balls that AT would routinely make but that is not Renfrow's game at all, so he hasn't been successful. Ironically, Renfrow does occasionally get open only to have Bryce throw elsewhere or miss the read. Glad to have Renfrow as a decent 5th or 6th option but there is no reason not to keep playing Horn(adds a completely different element to the offense as a gadget player), Tremayne(physically large target and great run blocker) and Coker(does most of what Renfrow does but far larger and better as a run blocker). If it were me personally, I'd probably put him ahead of XL on the WR depth chart but I completely understand why that doesn't happen.
  19. On paper. And not just Evans. You can go to Seattle too. Him not panning out doesn’t mean the narrative and how he projected didn’t fit at draft time. I only endorsed drafting XL if we were moving on from Bryce Young soon and said at the time XL would stink until we officially moved on from Bryce. They don’t fit the same offense. If you were going to stick with Bryce, Ladd made more sense. But Ladd also doesnt fit what Dave does
  20. He is just not a part of the future plans for this team, he doesn't fit the timeline whatsoever.
  21. There was a time I believed in it. Walk up to the LOS and look the MLB dead in the eye and say "Off-tackle right on 2" and just beat their ass with execution. But that NFL is gone and it doesnt matter how good the team is as the worst guy on the defense is still a world class athlete. There has to be some misdirection in todays NFL. You cant go with an empty backfield on 3rd and anything and win the numbers game. Maybe in Vince Lombardi's day that out execute mentality worked - but so did the Veer
