  1. Past hour
  2. The only way I'm taking a slot WR in the 1st is if I'm absolutely desperate for receivers and I think he's going to be an absolutely ELITE NFL slot receiver. You can find find good slot receivers in the mid-rounds. With all of our pressing needs a slot WR at 19 would be baffling.
  3. There's no way that they can spin it as bpa no matter who's sitting there. I'm not buying any of this talk.
  4. Tells me more about what they think about XL than Bryce if they take another WR in the 1st
  5. Just desperation to try to prop up Bryce at that point. Three straight 1st round WRs would be insane.
  6. I just saw we are bringing in Cooper Jr for a top 30 visit and actually like him better than concepcion. Cooper reminds me of Dj moore some.
  7. Trade Bryce for 2 1sts, have Pickett start the year, draft Manning next year
  8. Today
  9. I like Omar Cooper Jr. If we are going WR in the 1st. Not as fast as KC but is hard to bring down after the catch and has great body control. Go watch his game winning catch against Penn State. Basically the opposite of XL in knowing where to get his feet down inbounds.
  10. Looking at the utterly dysfunctional nature of the Panthers franchise, I'd say the best coach in our history (Rivera) might just be the best coach of all time. Anyone who is moderate here would probably be godlike with a real franchise.
  11. I want an ILB this year. And I really like seeing what Brian Baldinger thinks. He was killing it on Derrick Brown this year. Last year. He is apparently is going through every position for pre draft evaluations. This is video of his ILB evaluation. Put other videos here too if you want.
  12. I firmly believe they are going to target an offensive play maker.
  13. Nah he's going first round. If I had to guess, he'll get drafted by a contender at the end of the first. He kinda screams Joe Brady IMO. It wouldnt shock me to see Dan pick a WR @ 19 but we should probably be looking at Tyson before Concepcion. If I HAD to go WR, I'd have my eyes on Lemon too. I don't think anyone knows our true intentions. One thing is forsure though... somebody ranked high is going to drop to us.
  14. https://x.com/panthersbreakd/status/2039460655757922331?s=46&t=xeIgh_-Vr2aKxBkBJdfnKA Following Pro Day today, Indiana WR Omar Cooper Jr. will head to Carolina for a 30 visit with the Panthers, per source. They’ve done a lot of work on receivers and Cooper Jr. could be an option at No. 19 overall
  15. I am trying to remember when I EVER said reach for need. My thing if someone falls you jump, if you can trade back a few slots and get help at the right value and pick up some ammo to move up from 51 which I think is outside the money zone, then you do that. Take a WR later. Plenty of capable WRs have come from the 3rd round. Though this year I would go for C there if there was a reasonable choice. Take a TE if you must. I see more reason to take WR than TE. I think you give guys drafted two years ago and last year a chance to develop before cancelling them. I think it is kind of unrealistic to throw everything all in on offense in hopes of going deep in the playoffs after an 8-10 year, even if it did have some nice bright spots in it. And outside of this argument but relevant to it, I am bothered by Canales and Morgan and their apparent posture that we have arrived and are now in the big boy club. I don’t know where that comes from. They are out there talking like they are winners at 8-10. Backing into the playoffs in a real convoluted tie breaker scenario. They had some good games, yes. But the big feather n the cap, the LA Rams matchups, did you see what the Rams did? They didn’t fire the coaches but they fired their defensive backs. Bryce beat them yes, and it was pretty, but it was kind of like the Bucs and Mike Evans picking on our decimated secondary in 2022. Someone (Wilks) went down for allowing that to happen and they went down in LA too. Wr aren’t as good as a whole lot of homers think we are. Shore up the trenches. I think too many fans buy into it because they are so starved for anything that looks like a winner.
  16. How exactly does one win OROY "by default"? Wouldn't winning the award mean that of the two, McMillon stayed strong the entire year while the other guy didn't and fizzled out? That's like saying Secretariat only won by default because the other horse stopped moving midway through the race. Absolutely zero logic in that statement, which makes me very glad that I've never really paid much attention to Walterfoozball.
  17. I agree, teams in the past have fired the HC in order to retain a coach on staff...hell it happened to Mcderp this year, rams in the past and Im missing another. The fall off for the Panthers team defense was huge once Mcderp leftd and Ron could not fix it even when he named himself DC.
  18. There are different variables that you would have to include and consider. McDermott coached a franchise that was well ran and made good decisions overall for a number of years. Who could say how McDermott would have done on his own with the musical chairs and mismanagement of the Panthers FO through those years? But you also have to acknowledge the fact that Rivera's best years were with McDermott on staff. Rivera in the win loss column without him just isn't a pretty picture. From a head to head standpoint it is McDermott and it isn't close.
  19. Of all the concerns to highlight work ethic and passion for football is as lazy as it gets. All you have to do is watch an interview with him and his rookie highlights to see that is the farthest thing to be concerned about. Now getting him well placed throws on a consistent basis....that's another discussion.
  20. Since we won't have to rush either of them out I think you can draft both OL in the mid rounds, especially the center if not later rounds.
  21. I think if McD had been where he was when he went to be a HC, development wise, and had time traveled to be hired in 2011, we would have been better over the long haul. It is just speculation, so big deal.
  22. I do to (at least I'd like to), I just don't know if we need to do it with our first round draft capital. If they do, I'll be good with it, as I expect them to stick to their board.
  23. Three of those guys are 1 year rentals, and yes I'm including TMo. He's only going to be guaranteed as starter this coming season and that's if he holds up another season. We have no depth to speak of to boot. I think they need to start considering the future of the offensive line and grab great talent from the draft when it presents itself. They cannot afford to pass on olinemen when these guys are sitting there at our pick again.
  24. Where are the concerns about work ethic and passion for football? Are they in the room with us now?
  25. I mean, do you stop trying to improve your skill positions when it's obvious that you need to improve them? There really is more than one way to skin a cat, it's just that one way is better than the other when you look at it in a historical and statistical context.
