  1. Past hour
  2. They're adults. Boo hoo they got cursed at, I was getting cused at in little League and pee wee football at 7. Absolutely freaking ridiculous
  3. if Jaycee gets hurt we are screwed. I know the board thinks we are another year away, but I think we're closer, and I'd love to get a FA corner. Constantly losing destroys a teams confidence and desire. Winning helps build the team...the lockerroom gets confidence, and energy breeds off that. I think the team will develop more as a unit when we win more. And that will move us forward exponentially. The Saints comment after we beat them the second time last year...."that's not the same team we played earlier in the season" is true. The players bought into Canales, even those who went through the Rhule bullshit. We just missed out on beating the defending Super Bowl champs last year. Our WR and RB rooms are stacked. Our big problem was the DL and we certainly addressed that this year. Go ahead and build on defensive depth, get another CB. Let's go for a winning record this year, it will help build our culture. Finally a new culture. It's been missing since Riverboat.
  4. Yeah we would just hate a guy who put up 3900 yards 28 tds just a year off an Achilles injury. I'll just point out that Rodgers yards and TDs last year exceeded Joe Flaccos CAREER BEST season in his prime.
  5. Today
  6. People forgot that the think tank thought enough of smith-wade, to cut the vet starter troy hill mid-season. Just happened smith just injuried soon after. Personally I see no issues/PRESS THE PANIC BUTTON!!!1!1!! to take this group into TC. Of course Id love to have 5 all-pros at CB too, but this is the real world. Cuts and even trades happen once teams are going though the TC process. Just pray for health, like all other groups....
  7. I'll toss my 2 pennies(rip) into this. I was not a fan of the Dan hire, I'd say 80against/20meh. The right hand stuff and being a part of what I viewed as the sorriest panther team in history...... The deal is some of the first moves he did saved NOTHING in cap space. He waived Bozeman, Vonn Bell, and Hurst.....That to me doesn't feel like Firererererere was listening to Dan to a high degree. Dan didn't have a 1st rounder which was 1st overall due to the supreme suckage. He didn't have 2nd rounder this past year which was a early pick right where the talent of the 2025 was. Plus the cap was not in the best shape.... The QB deal was in deep water as well. If you factor this extreme mess and analyze the current OL, DL, WR, and RB groups..... I have. Use your normal realistic cues. Even without playing the first game of this season, you must see improvement, right?? He simply could not fix all the problems, but the problems he choose to tackle... He did so like it was the 2003 Superbowl all over again. Factor in depth and age, those groups check the difficult boxes. Most of the players are young, locked in contracts, and there *should* be depth behind the starters. He's not going to bat 1.000, his mistakes have been pointed out numerous times. IMO, he does need some props for what I feel he's done right. Trade wise he's been killing the value side- extra future 2nd, starter level CB that's 28 year old for 240 picked LB that's bounced around the league, and moved up without giving the classic herniay future picks to land two edges whom are only behind QBs on the most valued chart. He also got a early 2nd and 2 5ths for a 8 sack-a-year edge that got nearly 30 mill per. Sure its got to play out and positive results are needed. Still if you know NFL and been watching since the herniay&gettlegut eras, you got to feel the process is on the up and up. Im not talking in typical off-season hopuim fluff either.... It's not over by any means either(please give him until the 2026 season end), maybe this is a real foundation in the making, us Panthers don't even know what that is...... This could be the first real long lasting winner than us fans have never had in 30 years and we are witnessing it....
  8. I feel like we have some depth; we just need that proven nickel. Mike Jackson is a decent #2, but ideally we'd have a proven veteran in the slot. Smith-Wade might be able to fill that role, but he's far from a sure thing.
  9. Todd mcshay is doing a deep dive each week on the top propects. Although he likes manning as a top guy he doesnt think he is coming out but he absolutey raves about Cade, Sellers and Garrett n. Cade is the jack of all trades, does everything kindof well, Garrett is the big game hunter that has pin point accuracy, and sellers is the wildcard, the tools and arm is simply off the chart. So adding in Manning and allar this class has unreal potential
  10. If we're purely using that Rivera clip as a baseline, not sure that's much of anything. It really comes down to whether you're more motivating your players or constantly abusing them verbally (or even physically). That's an important distinction to make and I would have to assume the Seattle Storm allegations falls into the latter category.
  11. We couldn't fix everything in a single offseason and trying so in the past has gotten is into even worse circumstances. There's also the reality that while we are optimistic right now it's unlikely we will be competing for much this season. Next season we can further build on this roster and improve areas of need and hopefully be ready to make a legitimate playoff push.
  12. Curious to see how Evero adjusts his scheme given the shallow CB room. Does he stick with rotating from two-high to single-high looks more than any DC in the league again, leaning heavily on Cover-3? Or does he shift back toward more Cover-4 with the occasional LB blitz mixed in? Only three months until we find out…
  13. Both probably pronounce music as mursic.
  14. Yeah, Corral was a pretty big bust for a 3rd rounder. You're not necessarily expecting to find a long-term starter at QB in the 3rd, but damn you at least hope to get a solid backup out of it or a guy who at least makes some noise and gives you some hope. Corral just immediately looked like a guy who had no business in an NFL camp much less on a roster.
  15. One word to describe next year's QB draft class...DEEP! To me, this is Bryce's make or break year. The organization probably doesn't feel that way and will likely anoint him as the starter to at least 2027 no matter what. Some of these dude's will likely stay in college, but the bulk of them will be coming out. Manning and Sellers are two probably staying. That's not to say that the 2027 QB class will be crappy or thin, because I honestly don't know. It usually does skip at least a year--or more, but rarely two bumper crops of QBs in consecutive years. https://www.espn.com/nfl/draft2026/story/_/id/45453107/2026-nfl-draft-quarterback-class-top-prospects-klubnik-sellers-manning
  16. I think Ransom will be a solid player for us. He played beside Caleb Downs, the cornerstone of the Ohio State defense last year and some have him as a top 5 pick for the 2026 draft. He was characterized as the smart, instinctive, versatile safety. I just don't think S will be a liability unless we have injuries. I am very interested in seeing what they have in the three UDFA safeties; I see one making the roster. As for CB, I think they are higher on Wade-Smith than most of us are. Again, depth is a concern. We have to hope Jackson has another solid season and Horn does not injure his leg or toe on one of the yard lines. I am not sure I would compare it to last season's DL because this year's DL will cover a lot of deficiencies, but I know what you mean---our weak link.
  17. Lol. Now you make me defend DG. We had the best IOL in the league under DG and Oher looked solid until he got that bad concussion. DG drafted Moton and Daryl Williams as well. The OL fell apart under Hurney 2.0 and Fitterer. DG also drafted Star and Short. Sorry, but that was all in 5 drafts so let’s not make stuff up about not trying to improve hog mollies. Gettleman did a ton wrong and took the wrong guys, but he and Rivera had a deep and talented team and it got blown up really quickly. Also, I love Cam but he wasn’t the best QB in the league. He had the best year in 2015 but he wasn’t Brady. I think Dan has had a solid offseason, way better than last year but I’m not putting on rose colored glasses until we actually have a 10 win season. Again, Dave and Ron had 3 10+ wins seasons out of 5.
  18. Yeah I wont often comment on a coddled generation and participation trophies but this sort of begs for it. Also how did an athlete achieve at that level without getting a thicker skin?
  19. Right, basically what I said. Dude is crowning Dan after a 5-12 season and 1 draft, which as of right now, wasn’t good. I wasn’t judging Morgan at all. People read what they want to read like that I loved Gettleman and think he was awesome. Nope. All I said is that it’s way too freaking early to act like Morgan is amazing. I used the Gettleman/Rivera record just like I mentioned that Rhule almost beat both #1 seeds in this first year. Morgan/Canales’ team would need to win 11 a year to get to a similar record as Gettleman/Rivera’s first 5. If you are going to given Morgan a pass for bad talent, we were 15-33 the 3 years prior to Gettleman/Rivera. Again, I think all of us want this team to win again but maybe I’m a little jaded in thinking that I enjoyed 2013-2017 a helluva a lot more than 2018-2024 and I’m not a fan of smoke getting blown up my ass like we have already back.
  20. Highlights start @ 0:43 Fun seeing TMac and XL joking around. Excited to see how the young WR room (and AT) develop this upcoming season.
  21. Just a reminder that if you have any type of weird sore that's getting worse fast, don't dilly dally get your ass to a doctor. I'm about the last person to run to the doctor for something but this poo can kill you and it can happen fast. Caught early when it's localized it's a round of antibiotics and no big deal but if it gets in the bloodstream you're in trouble. Former national champion wrestler and UFC fighter Ben Askren is in the hospital in critical condition from a runaway staph infection. https://www.on3.com/pro/news/former-mma-star-two-time-ncaa-wrestling-champion-ben-askren-hospitalized-unable-to-respond/
  22. It's not like we get a poll on who should be a star. She rose to the top for various reasons. I don't think XL is Denzel, but he apparently moves the needle for enough ladies to get this kind of attention. Appeal is a package deal, and she racks up enough points or we wouldn't be talking about her. It's not like being attractive is a mandatory trait for being a musician/rapper.
  23. Or, that's just what the history of this franchise has given us.
  24. I understand this perspective, although, like I have expressed before, he had earned his opportunity.
