  1. Past hour
  2. I'll take a playoff win but I would love a Superbowl Win Too
  3. That alter ego crap, he can keep. But man, Bryce is a low bar to beat.
  4. TMac got something. They limited h8s practice and reported it per the rules. Theres no trickery in play. Trickery would be suggesting hes playing for sure when hes not likely to. Trickery would be to force the opponent to consider more things than necessary. Theres no trickery angle here. Thats covered by the rules around injury reports and practice participation.
  5. The CBA is like the devil relative to the quality of football we are given to consume. 100% killing the goose that laid the golden egg. And there is for sure something to CRA’s claim of the simplification of the modern offense. And it originated in college and they did not service the NFL’s need for a training ground. I maintain that an NFL Europe, wherever it were to be located, was essential to keeping the pipeline of NFL ready players flowing. Greed killed it. Now they are going to further pussify the leagues with NFL flag football. Rather than a true minor league system that will produce replacement players
  6. Betting odds are around 20% for a wildcard spot. The overall odds are a bit better if you combine the possibility of winning the division.
  7. Yesterday
  8. Favre got picked off by Carolina and a fan ran on the field mid play and ran directly between the panther db (Eric Davis I think) and Ahman green who was trying to make the tackle. Green plowed right into the fan.
  9. Plus, we have been waiting on his chunk plays since September 2023. In three years you could probably count them on your fingers and toes. Maybe that is a bit too conservative but I wouldn’t be that surprised. And there just aren’t nearly enough actual deep balls, forget the modern definition. If Canales can get this offense through this upcoming stretch of games while imposing the kind of limitation we saw last week he deserves a lot of credit.
  10. His output looks eerily similar to our own boy wonder. Only thing is he is in game 3 and Bryce is in year 3.
  11. I don’t remember the Ahmad Green story. What happened there?
  12. Right now maybe. But is it really worth locking in for two more years, or three more without seeing more?
  13. What I like most about Bryce is that he plays well in the clutch. That’s arguably the most important thing and you can’t teach that. If he could just start making some chunk plays here and there I actually do think he could be the guy. I’m not convinced yet but he’s the best option we have right now.
  14. Islanders Kings and Sharks aren't exactly the same level of competition though
  15. And Tarkenton in particular played in an ancient era by today’s standards. The linemen were smaller and slower too. On average. The game wasn’t as fast, front to back. IMO anyway. I don’t think he could play today, the way he was known for playing back then. One thing, when they did catch you they could hurt you then with no penalty. You had to be really tough to play QB in those days.
  16. I was too young to stay up late enough to watch the whole game so my mom recorded it on vhs which I watched over and over. Iconic game including the fan who got KO’d by Ahmad Green.
  17. As he should. Belicheat tried to fool the other coaches so hard, he had people filming other coach's practices and attending other team functions. And he did it to the tune of six championships. Whenever it is brought up, people say things like "you do everything you can to win" or "if you aren't pushing the envelope you aren't trying to win". These things make a difference. There is an advantage to your opponent not knowing who will and won't be on the field.
  18. XL, Coker, Horn, and a heavy dose of TE's should still be fine to catch 11 Bryce passes
  19. It’s also a reverse hex.
  20. Young, Tarkenton, and Brees were all “short” for their eras. Doug Flutie was downright tiny. Every one of them had a superpower to offset it, something that made their height irrelevant. I like the kid. I really do. But a superpower? Nah.
  21. They have with a different team, but that fact remains. It was part of the reason Kalil did his "we're going to the SB". Cam got there in year 5, like the saying stated. I do think a duel threat is a huge % of what you need. The problem remains, QB is still played from the pocket. If you cannot avoid pressures, hurries, and sacks...You need those wheels to save you then. Tom Brady was the best in NFL at avoiding pressure, sacks etc and he had no wheels at all. Still its a package deal, cause I point out fields or AR. I think more time is needed and better teachers are as well. Buuuuttttttt the collective bargaining deal limits practices and training. I feel BY would improve if he was allowed to practice more, same goes for many other young QBs.....but there's no time, its right now or "Hey checkout this college QB..."
  22. the only guy you are talking about is darnold, his skill set has always been exceptional but mentally he implodes in pressure, we saw it last year. Lets wait and see what happens as the year progresses with him.
