  1. Past hour
  2. Rookie 2nd rounder in his first career game (and a few weeks post punctured lung) gets 6 snaps, is doubled on 5 of them, created a pressure to force a QB scramble on the only one he was singled, and still put a little pressure on one of the doubles which ended up being an INT........... And people look at that as a bad first impression? Seriously, it's like some people are just going to be upset with everything if we're not a SB contender every season and play like it every snap of every game. If that's what he does in his first game coming off the freak injury and less practice time while recovering, I'm extremely optimistic of what he can turn into with more experience and time to work on his craft.
  3. That's not the level of effort that's going to warrant more snaps. At least Scourton had initial get off, he just had no idea what to do once an OL get their hands on him.
  4. Also here's some convo on Baker Mayfield's arm strength well before the Panthers got to him. Trying to compare him to Bryce Young is peak cope. https://www.reddit.com/r/nfl/comments/nwzx16/baker_mayfield_has_one_of_the_strongest_arms_the/
  5. he defied Urban Meyer. Given what we now know about him is there any question where all those leaks about Cam's personality were coming from?
  6. Also counts 12 mil against the cap next year if it doesnt work out. FML.
  7. Man this place is a riot. When he plays average people compare him to the greatest QB's. When he plays poorly or horribly people downplay it altogether. Comical. Bryce Young and Baker Mayfield are two very different QB's. Baker has always had the physical tools and a really good arm. Bryce Young is not that and never will be. He outright refused to throw at the combine for this very reason. But he certainly won't even begin to approach Baker in the arm strength department by still going out of his way to avoid lifting weights in his third year as one of the smallest QB's in the league. Stop coddling him already he isn’t a newborn baby.
  8. What will it take for him to remove himself from the picture? That’s what I vote for.
  9. Dude has made (will make) 38 mil on the contract. Set for life, just head to the house.
  10. Yup. Looks like another project that needs to learn a lot to be effective. Those have flourished here in the Tepper error... At least he looks quick but too small to rely on a bullrush in the NFL
  11. Dave Canales: I’d love to see our young players on the field on defense, I’m pushing that “I’m pushing that,” Canales said. “I’d love for all of our young guys to play. I really believe that it’s so valuable for those guys to be out there. Are they going to be perfect? No. Will every rep that they take be valuable and beneficial for their future? Yes. And so I would love for those guys to get opportunities out there so that we can see what we have. And then also just knowing it’s a long season and a lot of people are going to play at different times, it’ll help us going forward.” Asked if he’s pushed for more playing time for young guys in a conversation with defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero, Canales said he talks about it with his coaching staff. “Just collectively, as a staff, it’s just like, ‘Hey guys, let’s play these young guys. We’re gonna need everybody,’” Canales said. The reality, however, is that Canales is the head coach. He decides who plays. He doesn’t have to “push” anything, he can just send the young players on the field. The Panthers turned in an ugly performance in Sunday’s opener, and if Canales wasn’t satisfied with who was on the field, he should have changed that during the game. https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill
  12. Not sure everyone can launch this https://fb.watch/B_-ee3-k7x/?mibextid=wwXIfr&fs=e our qb staring at the jax video board as offensiveteammates stand by themselves waiting for him Not sure of the timing he through an interception directly after
  13. https://x.com/thaprotest4/status/1965140692679995819?s=46&t=W75E23VenL1ei42iX22E5g Princely looks like he’s running in sand
  14. Optimism belies the fact that coaches have egos BY9 had enough of the "mental" attributes (or at least knew how to convince folks he did) that coaches believed they could overcome his shortcomings -pun intended They thought they could bulk him up They thought they could scheme him up They thought they could encourage him to play taller They thought but Doug Flutie - but Sonny Jurgensen - but Drew Brees This is as much a failure of overconfident coaching as bad scouting
  15. That 1000% was on XL. Receivers are taught in high school on drags to come back to the QB. You cannot just run down the line and not expect the DB to jump the route.
  16. Basically this entire roster is complete ass outside of a few guys Horn and I guess DB but he isn’t worth what we’re paying him On offense it’s the majority of OL minus Corbett. Then Tmac and Bryce For the 3rd year in a row Bryce has 1 pass catcher he can throw to. Before it was Thielen and now it’s TMac. That’s literally it. This WR room ain’t much if at all better than the one he had his rookie season. Factor in the coaches and GM’s during this time and it’s a complete circus. Bryce didn’t even play bad yesterday. The fumble was rough. 4 and 1 play TMac ran wrong route. The two plays before that were completely wasted by Canales. Interception was more on Legette and a great play by safety who knew what was coming. Nijman was Kalil levels bad. This board said all the same things about Baker. This organization makes these QB’s look so f’n bad. Whoever we draft next would be wise to say no and deal with whatever repercussions come with that
  17. if I was looking to bet on some upsets this week....the state of South Carolina got two teams that look ripe to get beat pending some big changes ain't coming.
  18. Not great. Nowhere in the above post did I say he was perfect, but I don't think it's nearly as bad as some folks claim here. Again, we were in another situation where zero time was in the play clock when he got to the line of scrimmage.
  19. So when Thielen retires next year then what? I guess Young would just have to retire with him because he cant play without him? lol
  20. lol I appreciate how you and I are always somehow in complete disagreement.
  21. the first INT on XL? lol wut? I question anyone who watches the balls to Hunter Renfrow Sunday.....and thinks it was a Hunter issue. we are also at the point where tough 50/50 balls (like to Saunders) are now deemed layups our guys should get 100% of the time. They are called 50/50 for a reason.
  22. He looks good, criminal we aren’t playing him more. He seemed to have rushed the throw which was the Jaycee INT and the Jags obviously made a point to double or chip him every single play when he came in. They clearly think he can do something if they’re committing an extra man to him. edit: wasn’t the INT he got pressure but still I’ll take 1 pressure created out of 6 snaps for a rookie playing first game getting doubled
