  1. Past hour
  2. Until we do something about the D its not going to matter. If the D cant get stops BY9 cant get stats. We dont have these offenses (yet) Team-Record-Def Rank-QB 2011 New England Patriots 13–3 31st Tom Brady 2013 Denver Broncos 13–3 19th in PtsAllowed Payton Manning 2008 Arizona Cardinals 9–7 28th Kurt Warner and Larry Fitzgerald. 2016 Atlanta Falcons 11–5 27th Matt Ryan and Julio Jones. 2018 Kansas City Chiefs 12–4 24th Patrick Mahomes.
  3. I just want to see him catch everything thrown at him. Especially on 3rd downs.
  4. lets hope he finds his game and can eliminate Mikko and Dallas
  5. He was back in a groove for the finale. He had some critical catches in that win and kept drives going. I think he could surprise some this year. Not some monster stat book, but he could have a very respectable year and provide key plays throughout.
  6. Yea that injury sucked. He was really starting to come on when it happened. I expect a big jump in production from Sanders next year. He’s got the talent. Could be a big time red zone target for Bryce.
  7. Only 3 guys have given us 20+ TD seasons in the 30+ years this team has existed. It would be nice to see again. If his play is progressing and consistent, I think a 20 TD, 10 INT type season just shy of 4k yards would be an expectation to have. Beyond stats, I just was to see him have us in the wildcard race. Even if we miss out, would be fun to see us fighting for a spot until week 17-18 come around. Would be nice to have meaningful games in Nov-Dec again.
  8. That concussion last year was a freak play. With that being said, hopefully he doesn't have an issue with injuries. Because if he stays healthy, he's gonna be a problem. Already has that "it" factor.
  9. seems like he wasn't quite himself when he came back from landing on his head. like his confidence wasn't 100%. hoping it is, though. we've got a lot of potential here. i really like our TE room right now. RB corps is stacked. WR doesn't look too shabby either. and we are going to see some good things from BY too.
  10. It's been mentioned in this thread, yet many are glossing over it... This WR group has a ton of potential. TMAC, XL and Coker, and maybe even Horn as the speed guy will get a ton of snaps in this offense. The reality is that they are all really unproven. Hopefully they're ascending, but we don't know if XL and Coker are maxed out based on last season. TMAC and Horn are ROOKIES. So the only "proven vets" are Thielen, Moore and Renfrow. Not exactly top of the league. Biggest issue being a lack of speed to take the top off of defenses. Say what you want about Tedd Ginn but he was probably the most important receiver on the team in 2015.
  11. That would basically make him a top 10 quarterback based on last year's stats if you break down each QB metric, complied and ranked them. I get the premise of the question--why should we get rid of Bryce after the season if the team still sucks, but it's not Bryce's fault? Fair enough. If Bryce balls out and for whatever reason we still can't get over the hump, he shouldn't catch all the grief for it. However, I will caveat that while stats can add layers of paint to a canvass, they do not always paint the whole picture. So while those hypothetical stats are pretty darn good, if we are inept in the red zone settling for FGs or he's coughing up the ball on sacks or completing layup passes that doesn't get us first downs, then statistically he can have a really good season, but it could leave us on the short end of the scoreboard some games.
  12. Not many are talking about this player. He played well as a rookie last year. If he refines his blocking, continues studying film, and keeps working hard, I can see him being the next Greg Olsen. I’m expecting 55 catches, 700 yards, 4 TDs this season.
  13. I'm not a Bryce hater and I would 100% move on. Especially looking at how the upcoming qb draft looks on paper. Hopefully he continues to improve but if in 3 seasons you're still chasing average season numbers then he's not going to be the guy. You've just got to keep taking swings until you hit. Average qbs without any elite physical traits cant get it done anymore. So this year Hopefully he continues to develop and is above average statistically.
  14. Meltdowns???? He was pulled by Canales because he wasn't executing the game plan after 2 games into the season so he could watch Dalton execute the offense and show Bryce the windows available in the NFL, how to push the ball down the field and how to step up and move around when blitzed. When Young came back 5 games later he clearly watched and improved. Enough he was named the future starter. He doesn't have a history of meltdowns nor is there any reason to assume he will have one. From what I have read he is mentally strong and emotional stable. He may have bad games down the road, everyone does. But this is all a learning experience for him and so far he seems to be making progress. I can understand being hesitant on anything Panthers, but Young has surprisingly been able to gain his confidence after a disastrous start. You aren't alone in being cautious but I think he is the future. I thought he was too small and too short to succeed in the NFL. Honestly I was pleasantly surprised last year and am optimistic about the offense for the first time since Wilks and Dalton were decent.
  15. The Rams wanted to trade up for Williams who they ended up within the end. They even told him that when they called him to let him know he is the pick. The other teams are only an assumption. Like the Cowboys, who took a guard. The truth is the team wanted to trade down first and foremost but couldn't get an offer the were happy with. They took McMillan because they felt he was bpa at 8 plain and simple.
  16. things are going well and looks like he's going to be ready to play in september so obviously something is wrong.
  17. This perception that a good offense is going to carry this team, is incredibly short sighted. Our defense needs be play well, getting stops, turn overs, and giving the offense short fields.
  18. I'm not interested in stats. I'm all about him leading this team to wins.
  19. Today
  20. Like I'm living in the Twilight Zone. Closer to 3000 seems more likely, 3200ish would be my guess. I also doubt the TD numbers. Anything sub 4k is highly suspect in the modern NFL. If Geno Smith can do it so should any decent starter. It's year 3 folks so no more discounting or curving. Just go do it or stfu about the fantasies.
  21. Any time a big guy starts having leg issues all you can do is hope it was a blip and not thr new normal. Not sure about the timeliness on this one but seems normal.
  22. Not worded strangely. I take it as if he's ready by week 1 great, but week 5 to 8 could just as likely be in the cards.
  23. From Persons mailbag section. Is it me or is this worded a bit curiously? Brown seems to be recovering well from his surgery to repair the meniscus he tore in Week 1 against New Orleans. Brown said his rehab started two days after his surgery in September, and it’s intensified the past few months with work on an exercise bike and anti-gravity treadmill. Brown’s goal is to be back for the opener. “I’m doing what the doctors and trainers are allowing me to do at this point. No rush, just trying to get back,” he said. “I would like to be able to be there when the team gets ready to play in September.”
  24. I'm more interested in completion percentage and YPA (and wins of course), than yards or touchdowns. It's not too hard to imagine Young throwing for 3,900 yards in an abstract way. What is harder to imagine is who those yards are going to. That would probably require two 1000 pass catchers on our team. I don't know that we have two 1000 receivers on this team.
  25. Cool let’s make it 5 attempts less (555), happy now? Lol
