the most predictable Panthers ending based off how this season has gone. -The Saints beat us. Tampa also loses tonight. Folks are really mad at Bryce and Dave but hey, still in this. -The Bucs beat us. Go a game up. Complete board meltdown. 100 cut Bryce and Dave threads -Panthers beat the Seahawks by 10. Bucs lose to the Phins. Now, Bryce and Dave deserve deals. Today. 200 threads on that. People are guessing about playoff destinations and BigKat rents a hotel room in every imaginable city. - Bucs beat us. Board melts down.

Tepper is learning… I like this version of him
DeAngelo Beason replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
One would hope so, but I am not convinced that Tepper has seen his way fully out of day to day operations. There's absolutely no conceivable reality where Tepper would allow Morgan and Tillis to move on from Bryce Young. -
Only the Panthers could beat the top 3 teams in the NFC and still miss the playoffs lol

I think the biggest reason is the level of investment we made in him. Of he was a mid-round pick I'm not sure he would've been in the roster after his rookie season. If he was a run if the mill 1st rounder I thi k we wpulsve been looking hard to move on this past offseason. Even if he was a regular #1 overall pick I think there would've been at least legit competition brought in this past offseason. I honestly think we've been caught in a sunk cost fallacy trap for tmthree years now. I just wonder how far it was into his rookie TC that the concerning glances at each other started happening between the coaches as the raw talent issue became undeniably prevalent.

They have to be committed early to making NO pay for heavy boxes, and they can’t give up that mentality if it doesn’t work a time or two. I think Legette will have to be good. The Rams made a mistake on that Tmac touchdown when the single high safety covered Legette instead of Tmac. If that ball goes Legette’s way there is a much higher probability of failure; as a safety, you cover Tmac and rely on Legette to be a bonehead. I think the Saints players know better than the Rams who to shade coverage to no matter how much Bryce tries to look them off. -

I still think the game he shadowed Nuk Hopkins was his worst. Horn just fell on one. Life happens. Not bad DB play. I so think it it's a little over generous to give him both as pure trips/slips. They were brutal plays but he was largely solid outside of those 2 random plays. Nuk I think got in his head and he was just really bad that whole game. -
Yes! Gonna be a tough game, Caps are on an 8-1-1 win streak. Need Buss Stop in the crease for sure.

We would actually have a defensive player better than Slavin. Only because he scores more. But damn he is good. -
He must mean me smooth operator at handing the ball off.

I forgot about that. Worst game of Horn’s career by far. One of those felt like he was trying to sell the OPI too hard when he fell. Looking forward to redemption. - Today

That seems like a bad gameplan IMO. Just run the RBs. Hope no one on D has a disaster game. Play for the turnovers. Bryce's downfield throwing doesn't really work as means to back the S off. Never really has. That's how his bad play happens IMO. Canales basically has to wait it out and find the looks Bryce might can take advantage of. Which is man coverage/single coverage and you don't roll that dice often. Crowded boxes are a risk/reward strategy. One mistake and your RB can make some really big plays. -

Yep, all of thus. As the old saying goes winning cures everything. But they're not winning right now and I don't see that changing with Jones out now and who knows how much of next season he might miss, plus the whole contract situation and being down two 1st rounders. It might be about to get real messy in Indy. -
so yea... the um Saints.... how do we beat them this time?

I’ve heard nothing but awesome things about her. And until the injuries, it seemed to be producing some good juju. It seems she’s well-liked and appreciated by fans and staff. -
I think some of that, how many from 2023 still making plays thought.....ties into what the vision was. I mean, before Bryce Young took a week 1 snap, it was universally deemed the best place for any rookie QB to land. The reason of that was because on paper, it all made a lot of sense. A solid yet unspectacular HC. Surround the rookie with a stable of super safe vet JAGs that could all do what they were supposed to do for the young QB (safe vet JAGs don't have much of a career ahead of them). I think they tried to create a high floor, low ceiling start for Bryce to take off from.....and it just didn't work. On paper it made a lot of sense. Which most locally and nationally all thought too. I still think the fatal flaw, is Frank didn't want Bryce. And Bryce was never going to succeed being a Frank QB. And that's all Frank had in the bag.

Evidently he was banging his assistant something happened that made the assistant go to the university and lay it all put there, they fire him as a result, and then he basically went crazy probably anticipating his life completely unraveling. Wild. Chasing that strange will make some guys do some outlandish poo. Keep it between the lines fellas. Ain't worth it.

Sounds like a young man with more millions in the bank than he can spend who has had to go through some very long recoveries from injuries and just wondering if its worth going through it all again. Hard not to tell him to go and enjoy his life. His "kid have a cigar moment" just turned into "welcome to the machine."

We need to be aggressive and hit big plays early to back the safeties up. Then run Rico and Chuba. I don’t expect another bad luck game from Horn either. If the team comes out determined I think we’ll win handily. -
Damn, is it really that big of a disaster to lose to Ohio State? j/k
