  2. Improve upon the 7% career drop rate for one. Maybe improve upon that catch rate, which is the 2nd lowest of those 2024 1st round rookies while also being the least productive.
  3. Pretty sure Tepper wanted BY regardless of the coach. Unfortunately for Panthers fans. I am confident Reich did not want BY.
  4. Prediction? We likely lose. Maybe look okay doing it. It could be different with some turnovers coming to us. In general I don’t have the same faith in what we will get from Andy that I had in the week three games of the two previous years. I was very confident as to what we would see last year vs the Raiders and was validated. The patchwork OL worries me, in pass pro, with him being old and creaky and not exactly being ‘cat like’ in his escapability. And somewhat concerned about his arm strength. I mean in general, I think he could still be ‘as good once as he ever was’ which is a huge upgrade from Bryce. But it is still another year of aging and at some point it’s over… people say it is for him, I haven’t seen enough of him this season to say otherwise. Add the fact that they are generally a more seasoned and tested team than we are, players to staff. I am skeptical. But that is why they play the games, we don’t know for sure.
  5. more than one bad play, although we are missing two very important defensemen and having Miller as your top D man is.... less than ideal. Also Freddie's save percentage is .894 % would be .91 without Miller's own goal.
  6. Revisionist history. Virtually no one in the NFL sphere was saying this when they drafted him. Many agreed he would be a project to develop slowly over the course of a few years.
  7. Yeah and if you think Bryce was slow making reads....boy howdy.....get ready to watch some poo.
  8. but but but he had a bad zoom interview with the teppers
  9. It's the first and the second is the inevitable with thr first being met. Dude has 2 good years and both in contract years too.
  10. He would probably be balling out in San Fran or Detroit too as some examples. Undoubtedly, he wouldn't play nearly that well here. Well anyone is going to look good next to Brian Daboll, who is the worst head coach in the NFL.
  11. I know most people here just box score watch but man what Slowik was doing year 1 made Stroud’s life so easy. He was scheming guys wide open. I thought he was well on his way to becoming a HC Then year 2 happened Stroud looked really good year 1 because that situation was a great spot for any QB to be in. The longer this plays out and we’re seeing Stroud struggle with pressure while still having a top 5-10 WR1 I have no doubt in my mind had we drafted him instead of Young it would’ve played out the same way We’re seeing just how important situation and coaching matters when it comes to Stroud. If the Texans ever decide to move on from him he’ll be someone that will have no shortage of options. You put him in a good spot like Tampa and he’d go off
  12. Hooker was a 2023 3rd round draft pick that one of the best draft evaluation teams in the past five years(who would have thought that would be said) bailed on after two offseasons(he was recovering an an ACL tear all of 2023). That ain't a good sign.
  13. That's the coach I wanted well above Reich. He and Stroud would probably be pretty good together
  14. Unfortunately that's what's available out there right now. Sure hope Dan Morgan is learning something.
  15. A good bit of it, yes. Denver couldn't get out of their own way for 2.5 quarters and then had an outlier explosion of good fortune that some folks swear was a sign that God/fate/Demaryius Thomas himself from beyond the grave intervened because they scored 33 points and DT was 33 when he died.
  16. I watched him play there. It had nothing to do with "fit." He was just incapable of making NFL throws.
  17. If you are talking about how a huge salary would impact the team’s ability to build with quality players, due to the financial burden it imposes, I am in unqualified agreement If you mean because the pressure of justifying it affects his performance, I would not swallow that pill unquestionably. He was in NYC which is the nastiest and more pressure packed media market in the league, and just won’t face the same ‘blood in the water’ viciousness in Indianapolis (or here). I thought I knew that guy was a good gamble to be rehabbed.and wished we had open minded people making the calls here.
  18. It's less of an uphill battle to build a redemption story when you have the physical tools. He also has a playoff win. Honestly amuses me to see people downplaying him considering what we've become accustomed to at QB over the course of 37 games.

  20. hes a product of the system granted you have to have some baseline talent which he has but he has good coaching there dont think he would do as good elsewhere
  21. I'll take Jones on a prove it deal but start talking average QB pay and it's probably going to end closer to how it did in NY. They can spend that extra 20 million elsewhere. And he did play well on his prove it year there too, that's how he got his extension he couldn't live up to. Some guys are better in that range before their own pay strangles what gives them their best chance at succeeding. His coaching looks good too but I would still be mighty careful with the extension they are probably looking at for him.
  22. Today
  23. DM needs to get Rico under contract before the end of the season.
  24. They run the ball a lot, 30 times a game on average and Allen is averaging 240 yards a game. They are leaning heavily on the run game and play action passing. Their defense is really weak against the run and strong against the pass. Run the ball effectively and make it a low possession game with a low score to have a chance to win late.
