Absolutely not.

Dude, you and me... hes good... in pretty much every aspect of a QB..perfect no, solid hell yes. Makes every throw...stands tall in the pocket... he wouldn't be our problem in Carolina. Hes got 5-6 years left to be effective. But Jesus would look bad QBing this team.
-
Same could be said for Hooker. Still young enough, good size and good arm. He is already here. Everyone sez he sux, but what are our choices? If Bryce sh#ts the bed again, might as well try it out.
-
2 1sts for Jalen Milroe?
-
I really don't think he will develop into a starter, if I am being honest.
-
AJ Terrell is out for the Falcons. So they are down their best corner.
-
Is it bad when our UDFA can’t get healthy fast enough so the first rounder can ride the pine?
-
Isnt Tua our current QB?

I almost got sick reading this thread.

Smitty goes off on CLT on WFNZ
App Panther replied to Move the Panthers to Raleigh's topic in Carolina Panthers
Smitty probably has CTE. And if not for him, we’d probably have Jeudy right now and not needed to pick Mingo 2.0 -
maybe we should look at AJ McCarron or Greg McElory next.

Smitty needs to watch it especially with all his Skeltons jumping out of the closet -
You see, this is why I'm more critical of Dave Canales
CRA replied to TD alt's topic in Carolina Panthers
What QBs threaten downfield less than Bryce Young? If there is one, it's got to be some weird cherry pick that doesn't compare to BY. Like the Eagles hammering the ball on the ground and playing D. -
He has been a backup his last 2 stops. Here he would have a chance to start with a decent OL and having TMac helps. If he ever wants to make a lot of money he is going to have to be a starter somewhere.
-
Getting Mac Jones for cheap would give us the option of having time to pick and develop the future starter. Tua is a hard no. Jones looked really good with most of the starting skill positions out.

Tua wouldn’t be allowed to drive a car in north Carolina. Atrium does have a really good neuro program tho
-
At somewhere near his current salary, sure. I don't think he is going to have any desire to come here unless all 31 other teams pass, however.

Yeah, I was about to say if I'm Stafford I'm retiring before coming to this poo show. The guy spent most of his career toiling away for a bad franchise before landing in a good situation with the Rams, why would he want to finish his career with another poo show? I'd just head to the house before doing that. He's made plenty of money.
-
I'm assuming the thought is bring in a vet for short term stability. Find a youngster that you aren't forced to start week 1. So yeah, Wilson basically repeating what he is doing right now.
-
Stafford is dinged up constantly. Why on earth would he want to come to the worst franchise in the NFL? He is going to end his career with the Rams.
-
I'm not against bringing in Trey Lance honestly. He has sat for a while under several different solid coaches and he is still only 25 (turns 26 in May). He has every physical tool you want and I'd like to see what Canales can get out of him. I mean he got the Niners to take him at 3 who typically know what they are doing, they just stumbled into Purdy while he was out.
-
If we move off Bryce I could see us getting Stafford for the last 2 years of his career and drafting someone high. We’d have to pay him one last fat paycheck cause I can’t imagine he wants to come here. Think he’s already due $30M in 2026, imagine we’d need to give him 40 through 2027

Eh....on paper that is a big upgrade but time isn't being super kind to Wilson. Not nearly as elusive as he once was. Not sure a 38 year old Russell is much more than another 1 year rental. Now, pair him with a good, young drafted QB....I am in. Let the vet take a seasons worth of bullets while we keep building.
-
Ummm.....what??? Tua has had some good years, but whatever is happening in Miami...no thanks. We have our own burning dumpster to keep. No need to add a second one!
-
Tua? The best version of Tua was basically Bryce's theoretical ceiling but the current version of Tua has basically regressed to the level of Bryce. I don't know if it's the effect of injuries or what, but his arrow is pointing straight down. Moving on from Bryce to replace him with Tua would be a lateral move at best. Tua needs to be a backup both for football reasons and medical. That dude needs to stop taking hits to the head.
