Sporters reporters forecast Panthers record
ForJimmy replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
I think it should always be a take what the defense gives you. If they start stacking the box to stop the run then we have to be able to air it out to keep them honest. You aren’t lying about the investment in the passing game though. The Bryce trade followed by back to back 1st round WRs. Plus bringing in DC like you mentioned. At some point that passing game should be a strength as well. -

I think people might be selling Dowdle short though. I get we paid Hubbard all that money and we need to see a return on the investment but Rico should be plenty capable behind this OL. I'm fine with that. Just want to see Canales and his QB orchestrate some game winning drives. -

Sure, but we know this pass game is not likely what should be emphasized early. Meh preseason, youth/new, big WR shake up going in, and out your left tackle. so a winnable week 1 game should be Hubbard heavy IMO. -

Any time the Cowboys are good the world is a worse place. -

I'm just telling you what to expect. 30-40 runs a game 20-25 passes a game if everything goes to plan. Of course that gets skewed of the team sucks and is always trailing but that's what id expect. -
Even before we shipped Adam back to Minnesota, we were only any injury away from nothing but youngsters. This receiver room doesn't look at stacked anymore. I pray our guys stay healthy.

PantherChris replied to Captain Morgan's topic in Carolina Panthers
I was never enthused by it i always thought he was a snake oil salesman (shocker he was) but tbh I wasn't anti Rhule until like week 6.... I'm usually an "ill wait and see" person. -

We went out and invested what $150 million in two interior olinemen in FA last year? That makes any RB better. To me. Canales will take that next as a head coach step via our identity in the structure of his passing scheme. That's what I want to see and what will make me feel better for the future regardless of what happens with QB. -

I loathe them all equally. -
Very true, nerves and feelings in your hands are unique. Blood flow, its a specialist role and job. The only bones Ive broken thus far are ringer finger and pinky. Basketball jam and football horseplay, finish the practices and got a ride to the hospital. I should had made my hands stronger, weak things things break....

I'm jealous. I'm high in the mountains here in Asheville. The water is always cold. But we don't mind because you don't need a cooler for your beer when your fishing.

Bump these first "we hired Matt Rhule" and I hated it. Many huddlers told me how I was wrong and he was the hottest name available......He set the team back soon much, I don't feel I can count that high.. I will not even start on his staff of temple&Baylor bros, that should have been the the biggest red flag. If Panthers had a decent NFL staff, Baker or Sam would have had success here and no need for the BY trade/era....(that can still set the org back more years as well...)... His last remaining staff was replaced and I don't think there are any Baylor/temple leftover players out here either after Sam Franklin took a visit to Denver/buffalo.... fuging Tepper labeled Matt Rhule as his Chuck Koll, my sides hurt from pain laughing.

We don’t have cold water in the Wilmington area brother. It’s lukewarm or boiling.

That's kinda what Canales wants to do. In 2023 the Bucs ran the ball horribly (3.4ypc) and they still ran the ball league average attempt wise. He wants to run the ball, establish the los and use play action passing to help the QB by limiting reads. Most of the passing plays off play action will have max protect and 2-3 guys in route. 1 check down, 1 deep route, and/or 1 intermediate route. -

That first Rhule year were he ran two fake punts in the same game and both failed I knew that stink would be on for a long time.
