Or. Hear me out. We could actually draft one worth a damn seeing as we have a former LB for a general manager.

Banks is such an enigma, he could be a steal at 19 due to his potential. Or he could be a 325 pound injury prone bust who rarely plays. Dude had one great year in 2024 and has been injured since. Personally I just don’t think you take a risk like that in round 1 especially in a year where we have made clear investments into the defense and nailing one more piece could be the difference between a good and great defense. Give me Kayden McDonald over Banks he might have a lower ceiling but he is a true Junior and one of the best run defending DT’s I’ve personally ever watched. -
These are averages. Lol florida doesnt bully us the way they do without the Bennetts, Gudas, thachuk ect

We need to defeat the Heat at home tonight. Tired of playing little brother to those fưcks.

I am not sure about the TE or CB in round 1, but the rest is spot on. Wonder why he did not mention S? Does he think we are set there with Scott? Wonder why he did not mention DE? Does he think Wharton and D Brown got it? Personally, I do not think Walker prevents us from drafting an OT no more that M. Jackson and Horn suggest that we draft a CB. I would understand it, but with Walker on a 1-year deal and Ickey a question mark (average when healthy), and Moton starting to get SS checks... I think we HAVE to go DT and OT in rounds 1 and 2. That is right. I said it.

If the other 3 legs hit do I try to fight this? The last shot came in extra time which doesn't count but maybe whoever I get in customer service don't know that and it is showing 3 shots

I just a couple of posts back corrected a guy saying that. You missed that? We gave the Bears a 3rd round draft pick for Olsen. He was not a FA. Why do so many people think he was? -
Yeah it sucks but it's the most fun bet. I went round robin 2s 15 and 13 seeds. If 2 win I profit, if 3 win I profit pretty substantially. Then 3 leg 12s and 14s. 3 wins equal profit 4 equal huge profit. A losing I'm sure but an entertaining one and better than betting individually on the 6 teams I like for upsets

Kenny Pickett says that #Panthers HC Dave Canales' track record with quarterbacks attracted him to Carolina. https://x.com/sheena_marie3/status/2033989790790480267?s=46

It’s almost like having great goalie play a solid blue line and forwards that can score win you a cup. Who would’ve thought?!

And Gronk was a 2nd rounder (albeit only because he missed the entire season before the draft due to injury). If we hit on a mid round TE who turns into a clear cut Top 5 TE in NFL history (like Kelce), that's different, but using 1st round capital on someone who likely wouldn't even be a Top 5 TE in the NFL over the next 5 years just doesn't seem smart use of resources. -
fug Atlanta and Miami. Can't stand those teams

But I also just pointed out how most of the best teams of the last 2-4 years have not had elite TE play. You're cherry picking the best TE in NFL history and another who is easily Top 5 and has an argument of being 2nd (not to mention, those teams had realistically the 2 best QB's to ever play the game, and Bryce 'aint that). I'm not going to pretend I remember Olsen's contracts when he was here, but I don't remember him ever being one of those players on contracts like the elite TE's today get. And that's why I'm not really too hung up on adding that type of TE, I just think the money is better used elsewhere and we go TE by committee with 2-3 players who compliment each other well. -
Sorry man, got swamped today with work! I like Texas tonight. Threw a little on the over 2.5 in Arsenal game just to give me something to listen / watch while wrapping up the day. Dogs are a hard bet now in the tournament. NIL has completely destroyed the mid major programs and any chance of catching 5 white dudes who are all 6 year seniors making a Cinderella run.

Highly doubt we do it but I wish we'd get Shaq Thompson as a vet presence and rotational guy at ILB. Let him retire here, he still has a fair bit in the tank at only 31 despite playing for like 20 years.

Our best ever FA signing was Wesley Walls, followed by Sam Mills, and Ken Lucas. I can't really even think of any other super impactful ones. I thought Keyshawn Johnson would be at the time, and he was alright, but nothing special. I think Lloyd could end up being in that upper tier with the first three I named but time will tell. He could be a long time leader on this defense. He's young and smart and is in the mold of the great Panthers LBs. I can't wait for the inevitable sit-down with Thomas Davis. -
Panthers signing Packers LT Rasheed Walker
Jens replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Great News! Now, if we can find a QB, we will be in the race. -
On the whole, I thought the Panthers did the best job of any team during the first week of free agency and left with a much stronger roster. The team had two major needs on defense that people thought would be addressed early in the draft: pass rusher and off-ball linebacker. They promptly filled both by signing Jaelan Phillips to a massive four-year, $120 million contract and linebacker Devin Lloyd to a three-year, $45 million contract. Not only did the Panthers fill needs by signing the two players, but the vacancies left by Phillips in Philadelphia and Lloyd in Jacksonville are massive holes that those teams must address. Carolina was not done, as they added offensive tackle Rasheed Walker, the four-year veteran who was previously with the Green Bay Packers, to a one-year deal. Considering the serious knee injury suffered by starting left tackle Ikem Ekwonu during the playoff loss to the Los Angeles Rams, an injury that could threaten his 2026 season, it was money well spent on another free agent. Heading towards the draft, the Panthers now have the luxury of looking at other positions. If tight end Kenyon Sadiq happens to fall to the 19 selection of the first round, he has to be a consideration, and they could also target a top cornerback. https://www.essentiallysports.com/nfl-active-news-five-nfl-teams-whose-free-agency-moves-changed-their-twenty-twenty-six-draft-plans/

I know Banks is expected healthy before training camp from foot surgery but I don’t think I could gamble on a big man with reoccurring foot injuries at 19. If Dan Morgan picks him I’ll assume they have seen enough of his medicals to not be deterred. -

I hear ya, but... there really isn't a whole lot out there right now that is any better. At least not that I can see. Unless staff sees Ransom as being able to switch to more of a FS role, I'm pretty sure we draft a starter and Scott is the back up. Also, I see him as a solid backup.
