  1. Past hour
  2. Its not that, its the overall cap situation if something were to go sideways in the next 2 years we might be stuck unless of course we kick the can down the road again
  3. It seems like the #Panthers are out on N’joku. https://x.com/dixonsydernfl/status/2031741807227281885?s=46&t=xeIgh_-Vr2aKxBkBJdfnKA
  4. It may be high but there are some really appealing guys in the draft this year R2-3 for a slot defender. Scott, Abney, Haulcy (especially love for our defense), Rivers, Kilgore, a few others.
  5. We can't put that into another weapon with iffy ability to stay healthy. Already counting on a now 3rd year WR that has missed a third of his first 2 seasons to injury.
  6. The truth will come out when Crosby actually returns to the lineup. He and his agent could be blowing smoke about his progress to get a fat new deal witha team that has SB chances. NFL GMs aren't the only slimy ones out there. If Crosby returns on schedule and at full speed, the Ravens lose face. If he doesn't, Ravens look smart and Crosby and his agent do. We went through similar drafting Brooks. He was going to be ready by camp, then he wasn't. Then the start of the season. Then week 3, and so on. Time will tell if the Ravens or Crosby were in the right. Either way, the Raiders have got to be pissed.
  7. Is Chig better than Tremble, Sanders, or Evans? Just curious, I've never heard of the guy
  8. Phillips is 5 years younger and only $80m guaranteed
  9. Well they got Hendrickson for $2M a year less lol. I guess he's a bit older but way less injuries
  10. Lots of teams in on Njoku currently…expect a signing soon Top 5 teams to watch; #Eagles, #Commanders, #Bengals, #Dolphins, and #Broncos. The former Browns Superstar is expected to sign a multi year deal projected at 3 Years 29 Million. https://x.com/rickeyjrscoops/status/2031730904390095025?s=46&t=xeIgh_-Vr2aKxBkBJdfnKA
  11. Great stuff here. I could see DJ Reader, Roger McCreary, Josh Jones, Brady Christensen being realistic possibilities
  12. agree with you Maybe. The Panthers don’t value Center position in this offense only position they aren’t paying for on that line is Center hard to figure with a little fella at qb regardless, probably will draft one in rd 3 to 5
  13. It’s one thing if we’re converting the salaries of a Turk Wharton or Tommy Tremble. This is Derrick Brown. He’ll end up with a whole new contract in a couple years anyway. And he’ll earn it too.
  14. My general thoughts on the roster as it stands right now: - Most interesting positions to watch: TE, NT, WR. - If we add a TE I feel like it'll be a bigger name FA or Kenyon Sadiq in the 1st round. I don't expect us to take a TE that early with our need at tackle, though, so it's likely one of the top FA TEs or we ride with Tremble/Sanders/Evans again. Signing a mid-level FA or drafting another mid-round TE isn't going to help us at this point. We have three of those guys already. - I don't buy the 1st/2nd round WR hype. I do think we will sign someone to play the slot because XL is... not good. John Metchie, Juan Jennings and Calvin Austin would make sense if the money does. - NT could be interesting because I don't get the sense that they view Bobby Brown as a true starter. This could be a position we look to add a veteran starter at or possibly take one early in the draft. - Devin Lloyd was a huge addition, but we need another starter beside him. I fully expect us to go after one in the 2nd round. Jacob Rodriguez makes a ton of sense here. - The Luke Fortner signing gives us a veteran fallback at center this season. I don't expect he'll end up being our long-term starter, but it's likely he will at least begin the year atop the depth chart. Even if we draft a center it's unlikely that player ends up being a day-one starter. But I think right now we're likely targeting a center in the 3rd-4th round as that seems to be where the value is. - We have no punter on the roster. Interested to see if we sign a veteran or go the draft/UDFA route. - The OT situation is pretty bleak. I now fully expect us to take a tackle at #19, but even after the Stone Forsythe signing we also need better depth there. Brady Christensen would be an idea re-signing; I also like Jamaree Salyer from the Chargers as a younger option that still has room to develop. - Guard depth is also lacking. Again, having a versatile backup like Brady Christensen would go a long way toward having some security for our entire OL, but even if he comes back we should add another veteran backup, IMO. - I assume Lathan Ransom would be the starting FS if we played today, but we know Evero loves him some Nick Scott so I won't be surprised if/when we re-sign him. He's basically the defensive version of David Moore, unfortunately. Ideally we'd look to add a true FS, but I don't get the sense that is a big priority at the moment. - Nickel corner is a need and I fully expect us to sign someone in the next few days to upgrade over Chau Smith-Wade. Long-term, I won't be shocked if we go CB earlier in the draft than people might expect given Mike Jackson's contract expires after this year. - I wouldn't be shocked to see us sign a RB. Sean Tucker or Brian Robinson could be interesting. We know what Chuba can do, but Jonathon Brooks has to be considered a question mark at this point.
  15. Considering the Raiders and Crosby’s disagreements about his health late last year and the Ravens’ history of being an extremely well run organization I lean towards the Ravens not being in the wrong here
  16. Hoping for Chig as the TE signing. N'joku and Goedert are more proven and names, but give me the guy entering his prime that hasn't missed a game over the older guys with better stats but injury history.
  17. We absolutely should get an experienced OT on a 1 year deal. Decker, Josh Jones, heck maybe Beachum. Or just bring Yosh back. Another slot defender like McCreary would be nice too. Then the focus could be on the draft.
  18. I am hearing any one of: Okonkwo, N'joku, Goedert All just depends on how the dominoes fall. https://x.com/dixonsydernfl/status/2031730206122070467?s=46&t=xeIgh_-Vr2aKxBkBJdfnKA
  19. JUST IN: The TE market should be moving along today, per league source Watch out for the #Panthers, #Bengals, #Commanders, and #Dolphins https://x.com/dixonsydernfl/status/2031729096665747704?s=46&t=xeIgh_-Vr2aKxBkBJdfnKA
  20. They saw the market for Hendrickson was not as robust as expected and made a business decision. I’d respect it more if they just came out and said “We’re playing by the rules and we don’t need a reason to cancel the trade before 5pm Wednesday. That’s our window to evaluate all aspects of the trade and we decided it wasn’t in our best interests.” Don’t give us all this failed physical bs you just come off more slimy.
  21. @HeelsPanthersCanes you going to ride with me today?
  22. Curious indeed. We have to be eyeballing a C in the draft (guessing third round).
  23. Harold Fannin is a stud. No shame in getting passed by him on the depth chart, plus Njoku was banged up.
  24. I was talking about the team trading for a player with full knowledge of the medical history, getting clowned nationally for giving up too much, then finding an excuse with the “failed physical”. That is exactly what happened in both situations. And a “failed physical” basically means whatever the team wants it to mean. If there was a solid reason, the Ravens would give it, just like when they cancelled a trade because they found a tumor in the guys brain during the physical. That’s a legit failed physical and they were more than happy to provide the reason and not take blame publicly for no reason. There’s nobody anywhere saying Crosby’s rehab is “not progressing” and the only report we have, from his actual surgeon no less, is that he is ahead of schedule.
  25. Everyone knew Crosbys knee wasn’t going to be 100% till June/july. Sounds like the Ravens got cold feet. Couldn’t handle giving up two firsts when they could sign Trey and keep them .
