  2. How the NFL schedule is made: https://operations.nfl.com/gameday/nfl-schedule/creating-the-nfl-schedule/ Video is from 4 years ago, but it's pretty solid here's a quicker version:
  3. And I think that is opposite of what this team wants. No guaranteed money--I'd still sign him and give him a shot to beat out the fourth safety (Dont think he will).
  4. I think I’m semi right. Looks like ATL is first home game
  5. yet another season of Tepper letting us be the league’s punching bag it looks like, appears they will once again open on the road, close on the road, and get a garbage bye week. edit: 3 out of the first four games on the road? lol league trying to make sure we filter out early this season, ATL is HOT RIGHT NOW
  6. I think it's more like we're nowhere near TC, there's a decent amount of quality vets a available. Let's see what we have in the young guys, and we can always sign a vet, pre, or post camp if needed.
  7. I’d say the greatest QB and greatest HC in the NFL largely answered what matters most when Brady went to Tampa. and if the HC draws a top flight QB in the end to pull it off then it’s a still a QB game in the end.
  8. Oh boy the end of the season will be interesting: BYE @ NO (or SEA) TB SEA (or @ NO) @ TB I'm guessing we won't end the season with two road games (although it's happened before. ) so it's either going to be a BYE and two home games followed by two road games, or a home game sandwich
  9. You guys are forgetting about final cuts during preseason. There will be safeties cut that we will pickup then if need be. There's no need to panic right now.
  10. Hence why I said the interesting question would be coach vs. QB. really. Could you get a good enough HC that could turn this around or possibly draw a top flight QB to him?
  11. I think they think they are great. I also think they are really wrong but they already made that bed.
  12. I hope so and honestly I think the Panthers expect it. They seem to really be pushing him in terms of their PR efforts this off-season. XL is seemingly everywhere and all over the social media feeds way more so than any other Panther.
  13. Go look at the Ravens from 96 to 2012 and tell me a HOF LBer is enough to dominate in wins. The team building and coaching were the issues. If you look at all of Cam's years together, like you did, there were good pieces but looking at the individual years and it becomes a lot less impressive. The year they drafted Cam is in the running for the worst draft for the team ever lol.
  14. We didn't win because our few great players weren't greater, not because of the overall unbalance of the roster and mediocre coaching. Got it. LOL
  15. Today
  16. It can happen but it’s nothing like the NBA. One player doesn’t make the difference in the NFL that one player can in the NBA. Also, there are just not the same amount of trades and even opportunities. Because the NFL isn’t just one stud away, you don’t get a lot of opportunities like Miami did with Tua or the Jets did with Zach Wilson. Both teams got multiple 1sts for players they traded (Jets had 5 1sts in 2021-2022 and Miami had 5 1sts in 2020-2021) and both got top 5 picks to select a QB. They both made some good and bad picks but Miami turned Tua into multiple playoff appearances even though Tua isn’t elite. Wilson was just so bad that the Jets still sucked. We had our opportunity in 2022 where we would have had 6 1sts and 4 2nds in 2023-2025 and probably had a top 5 pick in 2023 or 2024 for a QB without trading up. Unfortunately, Fitterer didn’t have the foresight to realize a full rebuild was necessary and when a team offers you 2 1sts and a 2nd for a non-QB like Tunsil and Burns, you take it. One thing I wish trades had in the NFL that they have in the NBA is protected picks. A moron like Fitterer could have a top 5 protected pick so his terrible GMing doesn’t accidentally give the Bears the #1 overall pick because the moron Fitterer incorrectly thought we were 1 player away from the playoffs.
  17. Anyone that believes getting a couple late season wins to end the season at 4-13 while picking 9th in each round, other than 2-15 with the 1st pick in each round is not being realistic. It happens nearly every other year, Jags gave the browns a insane package to move from 2nd to 5th. If not for late season pointless/everyone forgets late season wins the Panthers would have gotten that franchise changing package. Not to mention Panthers would have had Herbo and Sewell in other years, but nope. Do I need to bring up da bears??? The goal is long term winning in order to make the playoffs, one season to tank could spark it with a Burrow that's gets sacked 60 times on the way to a SB. I want to win as bad as anyone, but the second the Panthers are eliminated from playoff contention, the ONLY solution is to lose the remaining games to gain a better chance to never do that again. No other answer.
  18. Looks like Dallas will be week 6.. It's likely going to be a late late late BYE week, ugh Last game of season @ tampa (warm-ish weather game, hopefully. Well, not "cold", at least)
  19. If Cam and Luke were truly these HOF game changer that we all believe, their influence should have lead to wins, including b2b. I feel us fans overrated their abilities. Watched some of the Luke coming call 70% of plays before they happened, most of his team mates didn't listen to answer. There was nearly no reaction to his call out, it was bizarre. That seemed to be the main problem. No clue why this never got addressed. Gross and Smitty were here in late stage, each were able to bring good positive play level in their 30s. Cam had the best IOL for around 2.5 years and 2 legit studs at RBs. Lafell was alright for a #2 as well. DL during this time was top tier- Star, KK, Hardy, Johnson.. The D finished in the top 5, I believe two different times and others it no lower than 8th. I just remembered Oher was here for good LT play for what 1.5 seasons, too. Luke and Cam should have better results.
  20. Split weeks 1 and 2. Win week 3,lose 4, w5, lose 6, win 8 should be 4-4 heading into the meat of the schedule. Seems doable
  21. Honestly, feels like our home games are much harder. Ignore the division games. Home will be Dallas (I know, but they had our number last year), Buffalo, Miami, Rams and Seahawks. Road is Jax, Jets, Arizona, New England and Green Bay.
  22. we have already seen a bad Panther team with the best RB in the NFL on it......it was a losing team. Not even a playoff sniffing team. QB is the end all be all in the NFL. You don't have the QB play.....then you need a super team essentially. Which Philly has. Finding a QB is easier than building a super team.
