I just read what I posted. I should have added that the fact that we didn’t have a WTF loss points to us learning how to win. It is evidence of that. Those really ugly wins, like vs NYJ and the Packers, they are losses with losers. I mean with a team hasn’t learned how to win. That is a thing we went through in 2002, and early 2003 to begin with. Instead of losing the tossup situations, we found a way to hold on and come out with a W. Most of the time. I don’t know if we can sustain it I guess we’ll see.

The Canadian Men's team is going to be hard to beat, they are more stacked than an all-star team -
I've watched him throw the ball away on 4th down. Are we really surprised cherry picked stats look good when he outright refuses to throw into tight windows, something literally every other QB in the NFL does. It's like saying someone in the NBA is a great shooter because of their field goal percentage - nevermind that they ONLY shoot wide open layups, refuse to shoot otherwise and average 5 points a game. Zoom out and look at big picture metrics, the complete story looks alot different - 27th in scoring (despite an above average supporting cast), 32nd in yards-per-attempt, 30th in yards-per-game.

Should Dave Canalas be on the HOT seat??

Anything below .500 next year and we should be replacing both HC and QB -
Should Dave Canalas be on the HOT seat??
Pejorative Miscreant replied to Jackson113.2's topic in Carolina Panthers
I don’t think he is on a hot seat right now but it could get warm very quickly. I think making the playoffs and having his QB pull out some key games allows many warts to be overlooked. At the moment. Once October rolls around I think anything could happen. -

27th in PPG 27th in YPG He absolutely should be on a very warm seat, at a minimum. -

Should Dave Canalas be on the HOT seat??
Jon Snow replied to Jackson113.2's topic in Carolina Panthers
He should be. But his reason for being here is not solely dependent on making something out of Young. His main job is to win football games and he's not doing to well without help. What he does next season will make or break him as a coach here. -
Who are the top QB prospects for the 2015 draft?
45catfan replied to Panthero's topic in 2015 NFL Draft
Chambliss won his eligiblity complaint; he's headed back to Ole Miss. The '27 class just got even deeper. Talking heads on the radio are ALREADY saying teams should/will tank for a shot to get a franchise QB in the draft a little over a year from now. Right now after the #1 overall pick, Medoza to the Raiders, Ty Simpson is QB2 and it's being debated if he's even going in the first round. A lot of people have the Steelers taking him, but if they don't, he's sliding to round 2. I think the Steelers are gun shy after the Kenny Pickett selection about taking a late round 1 QB. -
BREAKING: Panthers adding to coaching staff

What proof do you have that they "know he's not the one"? Are you prevy to some insider information or is this just your opinion. Just seems to me that if they knew he's not the one, then why pick up the 5th year option. And why would they hide that fact that he's not the one. After all, they didn't draft him and continuing to play him knowing he isn't "the one" just makes them look bad.

Just to add, Ive dated athletic women for a good period in my prime. Facts are they have manly features cause of low fat%. I dated a college softball SS that was 2nd all-time at her division 1 school in many categories. 185-210 power lifters types during the whole cross fit era. Many times the "bad angle" hurt them more......in fact I stopped taking pictures in gen..... I miss them all, they treated me better than my "gyatt and broke" period.... There is NOTHING wrong with that female type in my finding.... Id 100% date many of the WNBA women, but they got to want to date a man for starters......

Great talk -
I would like to see Howell. His contract should be similar to Andy Dalton’s. It is imperative to have a solid backup quarterback.

Should Dave Canalas be on the HOT seat??
Basbear replied to Jackson113.2's topic in Carolina Panthers
Im no fan. *was Facts are he took a terrible 2 win team and won 5 without early 1st and dead cap hell. Then in his second year with a minor improved roster, won 8 with NFC south turd championship. I mean..... he's doing 5x better than I thought he could with limited help and him with no EXP. He should get a full 2026. He is building a better team, no matter me not believing in his overly happy methods... Let him cook as the youth say... -
I swear love and couple others lasting to 19 and I can not.......

Yea that 2001 and for me 2003 was one hell of ride, *just by mid-season I knew that 03 team was legit and could beat ANYONE with Magicman Jake, prime Smitty, moose, solid tough roid OL, jenkins, pep, Rucker, Morgan, minter, foster/Davis and great ST. Just score 20 points and good luck, cause that year Panthers had GOOD LUCK. Still I had no clue about which 2025 Panthers team showed up. That Icky injury is a massive setback to all future plans.

Im still in huge favor of using a late pick, hell even the 2nd 5th would be on the table cause Im liking him more than now. My worry is others teams will too and he will be moving up. Just a gut feel too, but I feel he *could* be the 2nd best from this class. Id take that, np...

Running backs totally. But, if you don’t make a habit of giving RBs a second contract, does it matter if you pick one that is 24? What other positions might be treated similarly? Where you don’t regulary hand out second contracts? Anyone that maybe you don’t want to overpay on a second contract. I might say ROT. Guards. Might say CB in a scheme like Evero’s. Course, a lot of them will fall into the DJ Johnson/XL category of older rookies. You will lose players still good but then you probably get a comp pick and few cap issues. You have money for premium players’ second contracts, keep the team young. It is kind of interesting looking at it that way.
