  1. Past hour
  2. I dont see that happening, the throws with the velocity and touch that mac jones had last night and his ability to see over the line is something young has yet to show. even though mac jones was booted from the patriots he still showed more promise and better stats than young has ever done. Mac Jones does have a week arm by nfl standards but young is just another level of not physically gifted. But it could also be that every coach and player young has played with in the nfl are all terrible and they are all holding his greatness back
  3. Legette isn't shifty enough. Just get a hand or body on him and he's all of a sudden a 4.7 guy. Which is fine honeslty. I'd rather see him play like he's 220 pounds than like he's a burner anyway. Gotta be able to out muscle 180 pounds CBs. Just have to.
  4. I do think overall 2011 had more talent but that is mainly due to the non-OL offensive personnel's and the overall depth on D being a little better (not saying much). But it isn't some HUGE gap (outside the elephant in the room lol). This team could turn it around with a few (albeit major) changes and acquisitions.
  5. Now all of a sudden we want to follow the jay-z 7 year plan (joking). I see everyone’s point. I see reasons to move on and reasons to give at least one more year. I would likely prefer a new HC but new isn’t always better. They’ll make their decision and ill follow along like the sad fan i have been all these years.
  6. There's a two year period we are discussing, not one year. You're just (conveniently) picking and choosing the worst players from those two years. The overall roster was far superior. It's not even close. Especially at the (by far) most important position, which is QB.
  7. I wouldn't want to see him on the outside either. He can press safeties from the slot and allow TMac and company to work underneath. Safeties have to back up if a guy is streaking by them - even if Bryce refuses to look their way.
  8. Being the head coach of the team is the only qualification one needs to have this right. The questions is nonsensical. Coaches get their own staff. Yes, he accepted the job, but you're badly glossing over the entire point, which is that the biggest standout losers and failures on the team are guys that were here before he showed up, and as far as we can tell he's not been permitted to change things
  9. We can’t even fail successfully…. [sigh]
  10. Luke could make the player-to-DC jump. Let him get a couple years of success as DC and then the jump to HC is less of an adjustment.
  11. We are somehow only picking at 8 currently lol.
  12. This reminds me of when Jake was completely falling apart (2009) and we'd see threads about trading for Brady Quinn or Matt Leinart.
  13. Is the rule that to be a difference maker you have to worth two first round picks? In that case we have none other than Bryce Young of course, who we gave that up for, but he makes a difference the wrong direction. Brown makes a big difference up front Horn is an upgrade to most defenses and a fine player. And I think Tetaro is one, in the making. He could be a star if we get someone who can get him the ball.
  14. Defensive guys keep failing even when then do draft talented young QBs. I just don't think most make the best HCs any more. Bowels seems to be bucking thst trend while becoming more than just a DC as a HC. Dude keeps finding OCs 3 years in a row while other guys ran a top 5 D can't keep their offenses running well after 1 year.
  15. Well. As if what he does isn't predictable, this is idiot Small qb, cant sneak him Cant throw long, so instead of faking the run and letting him throw when the pressure is less, let’s wait until it is 3rd down brilliant
  16. Well, this is going to be interesting. I was feeling confident we could beat them to death with Chubba and Rico, but it looks like that's not going to happen. I think there's a real chance we can win this one. Miami's D is not good, and their offense is beatable so long as you harass Tua.
  17. I think he’s going full early Russell Wilson ‘rollout and throw a high flying duck as far as he can’ this week, hoping we can get to it first.
  18. Coming soon, his defense is allowing 30 points a game so far.
  19. true what is also true, there was absolutely no plan that was developed and executed, for the personnel needed to 1. Go from run first, to offensive juggernaut or 2 go from a 4 3 with some 3 4 variants to largely 3 4 and that continues to this day tepper, heavily involved in those decisions, thought he could flip a switch and hire a middling college coach amd viola, it will be done and still it continues, ‘if i hire a QB whisperer, i can fix my historically small, slender framed, qb and make him Drew Brees ‘ and here we are im throwing in the towel on these guys ‘cant fix a bad design’ They will never be even a top 15 team the top of the team operates the happiest people right now shaq eddie p, cmc, dj moore, burns, baker, darnold et al they escaped tepper
  20. If we were going to go for a new coach, then I'd like to see someone from a proven system with a track record. I'm also with @MHS831 in that firing Canales before the end of the season is not a great look. He's not been perfect. The meta storyline for the Panthers organization is that Dave Tepper is a meddler, impatient and a douchebag. All of his actions have proven them true which makes people with head coaching buzz either wait or take other jobs. I think letting Dave start the next season on a Matt Rhule kind of leash isn't the worst idea. I expect a new DC, someone who is a leader of men type with a good 3-4 scheme. I think Evero is a good communicator, I enjoy his pressers, despite the terrible results of his Defenses. I know he's limited with his LBs, but that's a GM problem. The Panthers have to start hitting on draft picks. That's the worst thing we've done for the past 5 years. Four players from the 2022-2023 drafts are still on the roster... That's forcing us to spend our money on pricey FA (with the poo team tax) instead of keeping guys around on rookie deals, freeing up cash. The 2024 Class isn't the worst: Round 1, Pick 32: WR Xavier Legette, South Carolina - Still on the team...young/old WR. Let's see Round 2, Pick 46: RB Jonathon Brooks, Texas - probably the worst pick, maybe he'll recover??? Round 3, Pick 72: LB Trevin Wallace, Kentucky - 2nd worst pick, needs to improve Round 4, Pick 101: TE Ja'Tavion Sanders, Texas - Starting TE in year 2, not bad. Sucks he's hurt Round 5, Pick 157: CB Chau Smith-Wade, Washington State - Pick 6! Solid nickle Round 6, Pick 200: DL Jaden Crumedy, Mississippi State - Late round flyer - depth/bottom of roster Round 7, Pick 240: LB Michael Barrett, Michigan - Traded for Mike Jack = best pick of the draft lol 2025 - Let's see how the season plays out. So I think I'm in the "let's be patient" with the coaching and the management. Maybe Tepper has turned a new leaf. If Bryce sucks the rest of the year, we let Dave & Dan pick their own QB and see what happens. Tepper looks like he's learned to own, and maybe we lose some of that stigma.
  21. I mean, sure. Assembling a roster of All-Pros sounds like a good idea. It's just tough to do.
  22. Did the zest (lol, Jets) fire him or something?
  23. I will be shocked if Horn takes reps on the outside. Hunter Renfrow is big compared to Horn.
