Half of 58 is 29. Which is how many points we smoked the Celtics by, on their home court. Blowout City. Not even competitive. So I guess you were half right. Hornets reality check is they are REALLY for real.
-
Allen finally has a competent receiver. Will be interesting to see how they continue to attack this offseason. They need to build that defense up but still need pieces on O.
-
I would have loved to get DJ back. DJ, Coker, and TMac would have been a top 5 core in the league.
-
Ha! I thought you were disagreeing with strato until I realized you were not referring to the offensive line.
-
Saw the compensation is a mid rounder on fantasy pros.

Tremendous move

It goes by very fast. They were about that age when I joined the huddle.

Every former Panther must somehow end up on the Bills.....

I still believe in Bussi’s potential. And I am glad Freddie looked like his old self his last outing. But if had been Freddie who let in 4 goals each of his last two games even with the same defensive lapses, some of you would have been calling for his head, not defending him. And that’s a damn fact. Even Tripp said Bussi was not on his game, twice he was way out of the net, needlessly leaving the net open.

Dane Brugler from The Athletic 2-round cock draft
Bear Hands replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yep - didn't intend it as a full dig. It's just the way things are going. There is a much higher percentage of prospects 23+ these days. It's far different than it used to be so I do understand that we have to stay open. If a guy can hit the ground running in his mid-20s, it's all about impact. If you ID that type go get him. There could be a few around 20 that fit that mold. Just don't take a 5th year who is still considered developmental [cough] XL -
To have all the tools and you still can't get the job done--BUT if the light does come on--and some WRs take time--we could be scary.
-
Yeah, you have to assume he was not facing many shutdown CBs
-
If XL doesn’t come in with a chip on his shoulder and being real serious about getting his spot back, do what you want to with him. Because if he doesn’t respond to this setback he never will respond.

Dane Brugler from The Athletic 2-round cock draft
strato replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
If you look at who we passed on to take Mesidor, in that mock, you go a lot of spots before you get to an OT. It fits a scenario where maybe we could trade back and still get the next OT. But we may have missed to boat on a player people would trade up for. -
Thanks it is basically stolen. I sort of took it from the old baseball thing where the owner told the player asking for more money “we can finish last without you”.
-
Yeah - Tremayne was very reliable at catching the ball when it was thrown his way. Still not sure he is able to get open at a good rate, but at least he seems to have his head on a swivel (unlike XL)

Can see it happening and wouldn't hate it, just hate Mesidor is old. But, maybe he's more ready to contribute now. I think an OT (Georgia guy or whoever) at 19, then Rodriguez or Hill in Rd 2 is where I'm at. -
Best line I've seen in a LONG time!
-
he catches everything thrown to him....had 17 targets and 14 receptions for 160 yards. XL has the tools to be really good--not sure about inside the helmet though

Dane Brugler from The Athletic 2-round cock draft

Im listing the two picks above the Panthers apparently, Dane values Proctor a lot more than some 17. Detroit Lions: Kadyn Proctor, OT/G, Alabama The return of Taylor Decker in 2026 gives the Lions options on draft night, but it doesn’t eliminate offensive line from being the move here. Proctor has the talent to give Detroit immediate depth at both tackle and guard, especially after the release of Graham Glasgow. He’d be a long-term building block. 18. Minnesota Vikings: Dillon Thieneman, S, Oregon With Harrison Smith’s future in question, the Vikings will have safety near the top of their wish list this offseason. Thieneman was expected to test well at the combine. Based on the reactions from teams, he surpassed even those high expectations and solidified himself in the mid-first-round range. (NFL scout: “It’s hard to find anything bad with ‘T-man.’”) 19. Carolina Panthers: Akheem Mesidor, edge, Miami General Manager Dan Morgan, a member of the Hurricanes’ Ring of Honor, isn’t going to draft a Miami player because of the connections to his alma mater. But it wouldn’t hurt, especially with the Panthers in the market for a charged-up edge rusher.
