I do not have a problem with him highlighting his strong performance and I actually agreed with him in his previous post talking about how good he looks. I just don't understand why he can't just make a comment without having to bash Young in the process.

ProFootballFocus: NFL Week 16: Rookie Team of the Week
L-TownCat replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
It’s usually easy to pick a favorite from our rookie class but this year I just can’t. Obviously TMac is living up to his top-10 selection and that’s great but there’s something about getting production from the mid-late rounds. Toss in the UDFA kicking phenom and it’s a good day to be a Panthers fan. -

Well earned! -
i dont see anything wrong with honest praise he won both the games against thr panthers and with impressive throws. young never showed thst promise as a rookie. in his third year they are playing very similiar levels. hoping young keeps on improving and shough kinda back tracks bc if not saints gonna be much tougher for years to come.

How we weren't willing to roll the dice on Wilson but were on Brooks remains a mystery.

Wide Receiver: Tetairoa McMillan, Carolina Panthers – 85.3 One of the more shocking developments of the 2025 NFL season has been the Carolina Panthers’ ascension to the top of the NFC South, which they achieved with Sunday’s win over the Buccaneers. Perhaps nobody has made a bigger difference than former eighth overall pick Tetairoa McMillan, who continued to be a steady presence in the Panthers’ offense. McMillan caught six passes for 73 yards and a touchdown in the win Tight End: Mitchell Evans, Carolina Panthers – 91.1 Evans only saw the field for 16 snaps, but he was efficient in his limited playing time. He caught all three of his targets for 23 yards on just six receiving snaps while also grading well in pass protection (72.2 grade) and as a run-blocker (68.4) Edge Defender: Nic Scourton, Carolina Panthers – 77.9 The former second-rounder out of Texas A&M has been a force along the Panthers’ defensive line, and he was a key contributor in Carolina’s huge win over the Buccaneers. Scourton recorded two stops as a run-defender and added another while in coverage. Scourton also tallied his sixth sack of the year while contributing another pressure to the mix Safety: Lathan Ransom, Carolina Panthers – 75.7 Another Carolina Panther on this week’s list, Ransom has typically been stronger in run defense — he carries an 85.2 grade in that field on the season. But Sunday against the Buccaneers was his best day in coverage. Ransom intercepted his only target, which wound up being the game-winner that put the Panthers in the driver’s seat in the NFC South

Svechnikov!!!

Sure. Talking being the record holder, I would want it to be done in the same number of games is all.
-
I think given his physical tools and Carolina’s offense struggles/reputation…..some team would take him off our hands.
-
XL needs the ball with room to run or to try to outrun someone. He's a bigger version of Ted Ginn with worse hands, no route tree and no boundary sense.
-
lol JFC

Svech outta da box woooo!!!

Shough can play….factoring he is a 2nd round rookie thrust into the gig on a bad roster. and we are debating him and Bryce Young. Not Bryce vs Drake Maye. If that’s not a red flag for you that it’s Shough we are talking. So be it. Giant one for me. Especially given the looming contract. holla if you want to know where you can find the stats you are confused about earlier. Not being a smart ass. Not just the stats for starts vs season totals. You can get the specifics on a QB for outdoors, dome, open roof. Early games, late games, night games. Vs division. It’s all broken down. No math and figuring needed.
-
As opposed to what? He’s been extremely disappointing but unless they can somehow dupe some schmuck into trading for him ala Mingo, there’s no reason not to give him at least another training camp. If he gets beat out so be it.

The Huddle: "Off with his head"!!! "we hate him, kill him now"!!

Yes. I don't know why everyone here is so quick to throw away developing players. The way you act, the majority of the people here would never have seen Charles Johnson develop, or Thomas Davis, or Steve Smith. Are extremely raw, extremely physically talented WR is still developing. Give the kid a break.
-
I would take a 3rd and never look back. The WRs around that pick are more likely to produce more than XL ever will.
-
The run game is getting more bottled up as teams have fixated on it. But we have still leaned on the run the majority of those game by modern standards. It’s just not as productive. Shough going for 1664 yards (vs that 1306 with less from his rushers) during that same 7 game stretch (despite Bryce getting his annual insane Atlanta explosion factoring in for him during that stretch which is his anomaly performance on the year). I mean, it’s not really debatable the Saints lean more on the pass than the Panthers. We have a better backfield. They are down to using their washed TE gadget guy as the lead back due to injury). unless things get weird or the game sort of naturally happens….the gameplan is leaning on the run in Carolina.

A ratty face for a ratty player.
-
So the people that say Jacksonville has a better overall roster are also saying bryce is better than Lawrence? Im not sure how that works.
-
He’s a joke. I’d rather see them cut him for anyone that actually wants to be a contributor. I’ve never seen a receiver drift out of bounds multiple times in one season.
-
He's gotta start acting like a veteran instead of a rookie. He always looks like he's playing scared.
