I’m not scouting them myself. I quit spending hours and hours on that all the way back when Hurney would trade out of a pick and all my ‘scouting’ was worthless. I did do 2023 because it was unique. I heard the stuff you are saying and then I read some stuff that went counter to it. It is probably more that I didn’t think the Clemson guy was rated that high.

I learn a lot from those two. Those 30 visits are very informative for the team. I would say there is a good chance that they have their first 3 picks locked in. Getting them however is a whole other story. I just don't see how Rodriguez lasts until their second pick. The first pick is still a mystery to me. -
Draft intel from ESPN’s Jordan Reid

Idk, I feel like Delp is in line with more of the JT Sanders types….good, but not really moving the needle. If we add a TE, I’d prefer we bring in a vet like Njoku and let the two youngsters continue to battle it out. -
Don't get me started on Puerto Rican women. Not to mention Brazilian women. Variety is the spice of life.

Panthers Top 30 Visits and Draft Tracker
Soul Rebel replied to XClown1986's topic in Carolina Panthers
Max is a versatile OT that doesn’t need to start day 1. He can play both sides but resembles more of a ready-made RT. I get an odd feeling Dan & Dave are looking to add more of a “win now” piece at 19 than a guy they can redshirt, but drafting Max would make 2027 and beyond much easier for OL security. -
yep HAD to marry. Still married

It was an interesting watch. What I retained and never really thought that deeply about was the 30-visits that occur. Hearing Luke explain how little time teams truly have deep diving and connecting with prospects at the combine makes more sense now. Those 1-on-1s in-person at the facility without all the noise of Indy and pro days can help teams figure out team fit a bit more. He mentioned how the prospect talks to the security guard, the driver that picks them up at the airport, etc. are little insights into someone’s character. Knowing how important culture is with Dave and Dan, I’d have tot think our first two days of selections will be top-30 visits. -

Dont get me wrong I certainly would not turn my nose at one. I've fallen for one in my younger day's.

It's nothing more than a time killer. Has zero relationship to reality concerning the actual draft. Everyone's so called "predictions" are usually blown up no later than the 5th pick. Its just a game to play when you're bored.

I generally dont understand the appeal of mock drafts. "Hey everyone look at my list of poo that wont happen" oh and pay me.

You folks should check JJ and Luke's latest podcast. They talk a lot about the LBs in this draft. I'll let you take a guess at who's Luke's favorite. -
Honestly that’s a good mock draft

We got to come out of the first 3 rounds with 2 defensive guys in my opinion......whatever combo of DL,LB n DB. Find OL depth later n call it a day. I know what our offense can be with BY no matter what weapons he has. I believe our defense is so close to being dominate (I really do!). We almost have the pieces and this draft is perfect for that. -
Would love Thieneman but I’m becoming less hopeful as the draft approaches and the Panthers are yet to have a reported interview with him yet….they might probably draft a Safety but it probably won’t be him.

All positions of need with the exception of maybe receiver. I’d be good with it.
