  1. Past hour
  2. I actually like that we made the decision early. Production is more valuable than the underwear olympics in my humble opinion. Use that pre-draft time to determine things like character and work ethic.
  3. You are absolutely correct. We were speculating at the time. The UC news dropped yesterday (to my knowledge). That's great news. That said, he did have a devastating concussion that derailed his 2022 season, which is why we were speculating.
  4. When the panthers are bad, we sell a shockingly low number of jerseys, and options become limited. In the good years, we had a lot of different options. I think T-Mac is going to have to play well on the field for his jersey to get produced in the FUSE template.
  5. Torn achilles. The reason he was out more than half of last season.
  6. it's not the only way to be a threat, it's certainly important for certain roles in an offense and for certain type players and offenses. as is the ability to get open quickly and generate easy throws. as far as Renfrow goes, I have consistently said he is sort of his own thing and not really in comp w/ others here. It's a niche role/job. Anyone talking about something else from him isn't me. Just depends if we want to do what he does and if he can still do it. as far as AT goes, yeah, he does lower our ceiling given the % of our offense that goes through him and his limitations at this stage in his career. He should be a roleplayer, much like Renfrow should be if we want to insert what he does into the O....not an O being run through him. Renfrow isn't going to lower the ceiling if used correctly. Niche assignments to move chains. It's like a short yardage RB that comes in to pick a random play. Renfrow is best at that 3rd and 4 type scenario IMO. AT lowers the ceiling because we build the pass game off an old WR that shouldn't be the focal point of a pass attack. Not to mention, Bryce Young is practically tailor made to get the ball in the hands of YAC players. So you need those type on the field.
  7. why hasnt any other team tried signing him?
  8. I agree. Father Time is undefeated. Linebacker is a physical position, and Shaq's injuries are piling up. Sometimes you have to just know your time to hang'em up. I don't think anyone should denigrate Shaq's leadership or his history with the team, but that's all in the past. If it's week 4 and we're down all our LBs, sure, bring him in. But for camp and the season, we need youth. Jewell is the elder statesman here, but even he's had his fair share of injuries. So at this point, I'd rather live with youth and mistakes while they learn instead of older vets who will get hurt more frequently.
  9. Look, I love Shaq and have cheered for him since Day 1. I'd love to see him back but those injuries were all pretty major and they started coming one after another. That's usually the sign for a professional athlete that it's time to turn the page. I think he's been an excellent linebacker throughout his career and when he took to the field beside Luke and TD, he was very much a man among equals there. I think that sadly, it is time for a new page for him, just like those other stalwarts. But please, ask him to come back and retire as a Panther. We'd be honored by him if he did.
  10. Today
  11. It was important to win this and get some rest, especially for Freddie. Lets pray he can come back next series and be ready to go or else I dont see how we are going to be able to play like last night for every game in order to cover for Kooch. They will be golfing sooner rather than later if he cant come back.
  12. Well, I am not in the camp that thinks Wallace is the future either. I ultimately would understand the decision even without the injury, if perhaps not completely agree.
  13. But Thompson isn't the future. You have to give your young players an opportunity. Especially when you aren't expected to make a run at anything
  14. TBH, without the Achilles tear there would be no comparison between Wallace and even this version of Shaq. Wallace was a so-so rookie and Shaq has been an extremely productive and capable veteran. Now price however......
  15. Sorry man, I am not really buying what your are selling. This isn't like XL, IMO, who was obviously never going to work out. I believe McMillian is the best WR in this class so expecting him to get 1k yards(or very close) shouldn't be some crazy stretch. Again, if our offense overall just struggles, I get it. As for AT, love the guy but consistent 1k+ seasons are likely to stop happening in the near future so I just don't buy that as justification for why T-Mac would be unable to get the targets necessary to produce. That scenario is either he isn't working out as well as anticipated or the offense isn't working out as well as anticipated.
  16. After all of the Barry Horowitzing you've been doing since the pick, you're on the hook for a 1k yard rookie season there bucko.
  17. Ulcerative Colitis does not make you feel good. Look it up.
  18. I'd much rather see Wallace even if he didn't have an Achilles tear in late September There's a good reason he's a FA
  19. If I could pie more, I would. Fantastic
  20. Well bois, we gave the Devils their due! Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery... The jersey boys have been trying to jack our steeze for a few years now. They've followed our blueprints and studied our tape. Every offseason, they pounce on our sloppy seconds in a Newark minute. Quick with the puck, ferocious on the forecheck and stifling team defense. Down to the colors, this is this closest we'll come to having to play ourselves in Ole Stanley's Hockey Hoedown. As the postseason began, Rod stood flexing in the gym mirror and saw this guy staring back from the void... (Shutters) When beating us at our game didn't work, Timo and the Tri-State Trash tried to tango instead. Outside of a bitchass cheapshot on Freddie, that poo didn't work either. Their goon squad was getting wrecked by our bantam weights. As much as we all wanted to see Svechy or Staal Bunyan literally break someone in half after the Great Dane went down, they didnt need to. Our munchkins were monsters! Jarvis obliterating giants at the blue line, Logan laying the Stank on dudes twice his size and Blakers blasting Timo into next season. It was beautiful to see! (Side note: Does JBlo wear lead weights under his pads? 170lbs shouldn't be able to hit that hard!) We closed it out in 5, for the gentleman's sweep. Only team in the league to win a series in each of the past 7(?) seasons! And, this was supposed to be a rebuilding year... Onto the awards: Key To The Series : 6 for 19 - .316% IT FINALLY WORKED!!! MVP : 16/180 g/s - .911 save% - 2.53 gaa Seriously, without this dude, we would've won in 3! (Trust me bro) 3rd Star : 6/94 g/s - .936 save % - 1.59 gaa The Great Dane 2nd Star : 3 g - 5 a - +1 - 20:38 toi/g - 18 hits - 3 bs - 58.1% fo 3 PP goals and the 2OT series winning goal! WOOAAAHHH NELLY!!!! And, your 1st Star of the series : 5 g - 1 a - +3 - 16:48 toi/g - 16 hits - 1 bs - 1 tk - 50% fo Zero, I repeat, zero penalty minutes for the series! MISSSTAAAHHH SVEEECHNIKOOOV!!!!!! Onto The Next: Now, we wait for the Habs to make it a nasty 7 game slog, while we recuperate. And, hopefully, get Nikishin, and some of the other black aces some real peactice time. We are gonna need those guys at some point. Because, if you think the Devils were dirty, hoooo boy, wait till you see what's next...
