Buccaneers sign LB Christian Roseboom

Even Luke wasn't the best at beating blocks from interior olinemen. His super power was getting to the point before the block got to him. -

I agree with protecting the QB. But you have quite a few that won't let the Hunt and Lewis signings go. It was coming off a ridiculously bad performance by offensive guards in 2023. Morgan did the same in for the interior DL in 2025 when they gave up the most rushing yards ever. And again this season with pass rush when they had the worst pressure rate in the NFL. -
I feel like this season is already a success no matter how it ends. This team can build of its accomplishments

Buccaneers sign LB Christian Roseboom

Normally, I wish a guy who goes on to somewhere else luck. And I like Rosenboom. He did very well for us and was a great team guy. I wish him great off field success. On the field... if he could struggle versus us for those two games a season, I'd be happy with that. -

It's his brain that really helps the most. High football IQ and can decipher plays well. Get smart players, it helps every single time. Getting bullied a couple of times will happen as he gets into the league, but he'll figure it out. And there's a weight room and professional nutritionists to help add some muscle mass. And guys like Luke and TD are around to show him how to make bullies cry. -
Throw all the cheap FA deals and later round picks you want at WR and TE. Most are probably fine with that. And, I am okay spending to protect the QB too. And would 100% rather see the spending focused there than on fancy pass catchers.

He was decent!! Our Offense will have to watch out for him when we play them -
There’s a lot of good linebacker prospects this year. I think Rodriguez will be a good player but they can also be patient and still get a good one. I like the idea of trading down in the first but I think they are set on Sadiq and if he’s not there then they might trade down

Them signing Robinson, did not like. Dude can play and is a run stuffer. Rozeboom? Cool name, backup player.

I would be wasted if I did that! Haha. Well done my man

The only team over .500 that the Hawks have beaten in their last 13 wins is the Orlando Magic. They've got some really tough ones coming up and I imagine we'll be able to gain some ground on them too. We have the tiebreaker over them. If we take care of business and win all the games we should win and then roughly split the others I think we're in good shape to get a top 8 seed. Orlando and Philly are in freefalls that have no end in sight. Heat have been as well but they have the tiebreaker over us and as much as I hope they don't, I fully expect them to bounce back. 44-45 wins is realistic for us. 42-43 might get us the 8 seed but more likely 9-10 seed and a tough road to the playoffs. IMO a winning season period is a huge huge huge success for this team. Hopefully we can do even better and get in the playoffs.

If you are doing one year contracts yeah I guess you should factor your opponents into it. -
I don't get hangovers, mostly because getting drunk is a chore. My beach routine is a bloody mary @ 11, beers til 4, Don Julio/rocks the rest of the night. Nada, zip, zilch... nothing.

There's that plus the whole dual citizen Israel flag waver deal. That would be a problem at UNC. That's the off the court stuff, then there's just the pure business of it all. He has a good thing going at Florida. He won a natty last year and had them in a #1 seed this year. You'd probably have to make him the highest paid coach in college basketball for him to even consider it. On top of that contract, you'd also have his $18M buyout. When you out it all together, I honestly think Golden is a very long shot to be the next Tar Heels basketball coach. There's the Tribeca of issues to overcome - off the court, the pure business of the $$$, and luring him away from an already good situation where he's proven he can compete for championships in his current environment.

Which Round Will Carolina Draft Sawyer Robertson?
MHS831 replied to chknwing's topic in Carolina Panthers
4th is early--5th maybe? It depends on the run of QBs on day 3--there usually is one. However, he could drop lower. I think it is a given that the Panthers like him, so if anyone else does, it could improve his stock. 1 month away--I am taking Friday (April 24) off work. They'll understand. -

He definitely has a lot of traits you would like to see out of a LB. Love his sideline to sideline movement and has the ability to be a great coverage LB if developed correctly. Still worried that he will get bullied in the run game though. -

Sure, inner division. But I never thought of signing one year players to match up to the remaining schedule better. -
Tight end is this unique position where it’s not generally considered a premium position but it’s also not really something you can just go out and buy great play at. Great tight ends virtually never go anywhere. If you want a good one you have to draft him, and more and more lately, you have to take him in the 1st. I don’t need a guy to be ready from his first time stepping on the field as a rookie, that’s an unrealistic expectation-I’d like to have a place for him to step in and play though. Sadiq would have a defined role from the first practice and would open up the offense as a whole simply by being here. but in any case I get the impression that the team doesn’t feel he’s going to be there which jives with kind of how I’m feeling.

I'm one of those who are falling for Rodriguez. If he's there at 51 I hope the hell we snatch him up. -

If you want Rodriguez you gonna have to take him in the first round and i honestly wouldn't be entirely against it. Especially in a trade down scenario. -
Panthers bring back TE Feleipe Franks
Navy_football replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Etienne didn't really return punts in college. He did return kickoffs though. Those are very different jobs. Hard to ask a guy to learn a new position in the pros. Kind of like moving a guy to OT when he played DT in college. And then starting him as a rookie. -

Hell, I'll take a guy that actually looks like he has returned a ball before in his life and doesn't muff the punt every 4 punts... Etienne looks like a walking disaster every time he is back there to return punts
