  2. Of course they are all busts. Young QBs with high upside that either had their chance cut short or were in terrible situations. Building your roster and trying for one of those is a cheap risk potential high reward situation. I don’t think we take one early in the draft again right away. Mid to late in the draft is a cheap gamble but deliver pretty low chances. Trying to recreate a Danny Dimes, Geno Smith, San Darnold, Baker Mayfield type situation as our plan B kind of works. At worst these guys are backup QBs which we need anyway. They are young enough to possibly have some potential still. You are finding some elite QB in FA for cheap.
  3. I used to work within the gaming industry, but I'm very much glad I finally got out. The whole problem gambling angle always came across as a "We do it because we have to" more than a genuine effort. Also, someone once told me that if you're gambling because you think you'll actually make money, you're doing it for the wrong reason. But that's how it's often marketed. Hey, look at this guy with a wad of cash and hot babes around him. I very much am not surprised how pervasive gambling and sports betting has become since I saw it up close when it was much more limited.
  4. I think he's an impediment to any receiver because he rarely hits a receiver in stride, but X would certainly benefit if he is hit in stride because it takes him a while to get going. He may be fast, but he's not quick, and he's not really twitchy either. I'm just glad that Bryce looked his way for a change. I don't think we'll have that problem with Dalton.
  5. If those edge rooks develop and have a good offseason program that could really help. I want to say we need more pass rush but we might just have to wait a little bit for some help. I mean, maybe it won’t be a dire need in a year.
  6. He has strong placement when it's still something within the first 2 reads. He's got a strong football IQ so when he knows where he needs to hit someone for anticipation, he can do it well on a slant or seam. But once he's making progressions and has time, he's not leading downfield (at the perimeter in particular). The outside ball placement is where he falls off majorly.
  7. Last year teams didn’t have to throw against us. Jackson is strong in run support and can cover average WRs. Asking him to pick up the other teams number 1 WR is the height of stupidity when you have Horn. Again Evero and his retarded system puts us at a disadvantage before the snap. Good teams will exploit this over and over again.

    Classless

I have no idea what you're talking about, stop acting schizophrenic
  9. I said something like that last week and got post after post of stats telling me I didn’t see it. And was accused of being racist to boot. Because Dalton is white (I can’t make him black, sorry). Thanks. It seemed like you objected to me asking. So I am sorry if you didn’t mean it that way.
  10. Suit me? It's a forum. No offense meant if that's the way to took it.
  11. Slightly above expectations?! If we keep stacking offseasons like this one we'll be running the NFC South for a long time.
  12. Yeah and also there are random matchups that maybe he did t get last year that are not as favorable for him. I ain’t gonna try and look at all that. I have learned that people have slumps and often a slump or rut will happen before a step forward. Who knows?
  13. How many reasons do I need to suit you? I want to know (why I asked). Did I ask you to check it for me? I don’t think so. I guess bottom line is I didn’t hear it and I don’t want to call someone out in error, say he didn’t, so I wanted to check it. In the ‘classless’ thread just a little while ago a guy claimed that there were two pages of someone calling another guy a liar and being obtuse. I looked. It was THREE posts before he made that claim. 3. As far as XL being capable or… of that standard for that kind of production, technically if he did it once he can do it again… but I certainly don’t expect that and also did not infer that it was an expectation from what the dude was saying. Did you watch the video and get that? I know the 1000 yard deal, and that is a benchmark yes. If you were looking at this offense and this quarterback would you expect Legette to go 1000? I think a little under would be reasonable with so many targets going to the RBs and a run first mentality and all that. Couple/three games ago 10 guys caught balls. How many are there really going to be every week for XL?
  14. Jackson is playing what I think is expected of a 5million dollar corner. Unless we use our first rd pick on a corner next year I somewhat expect him to be on the roster again next year. Upgrading Nick Scott could help him aswell.
  15. Jackson needs help over the top. Asking him to do what Horn does is just dumb.
  16. Nope, I was being straightforward. You on the other hand tried to talk about gas lighting while combining sarcasm which just made your take convoluted at best and at worst just straight gas lighting.
  17. I think this is the first game of the season where I won’t have baseball on at the same time. It’s hockey time now.
  18. Yeah The King of Pop is a serviceable #2. Better than JAG level IMO, but playing across from a no-fly zone, he's going to get picked on
  19. Having Bryce as a QB is a hindrance to a reciever like XL. Andy comes in and suddenly he's capable.
  20. fug it. We are elite too. Maybe the best team. Maybe. Why not go 2-0 over the next two.
  21. Hey, I'm lost, and I sure as hell don't feel like listening to a vid of conjecture and projection based on one game, but...Even if dude didn't come right out and say it, if he's saying that X can have those types of games more than not, he's basically saying it. Just curious as to why you have to hear it explicitly. My thing is is that a 1000 yards has been kind of the benchmark for receivers by fans and analysts for at least two decades now (though I could argue that we probably need to set a higher expectation). That being said, all a receiver has to do across 17 games is average approximately 59 receiving yards per game. I don't think that's an insurmountable height to reach even for a WR2 in many offenses. In one of these threads, someone was saying X has averaged 29. That's an unacceptable number. Bless him if he can average 92, because he'd be getting more than 1500 (going on 1600) per season. Why someone would think he'd be able to do that under Bryce and a team that needs to run, I don't know. Maybe I do need to listen to the vid.
  22. I thought the Charlotte Hornets and the Tinderbox were pretty much the same thing...lol.
  23. Canes were 2-0 against Dallas last year; 0-2 the year before. It's been pretty much back and forth between the 2 teams back to the bubble year when we played them 8 times. But they have a pretty decided edge over the years.
  24. Jackson over performed last year so some of this might just be regression to the mean.
  25. It's hard to take any of this seriously when major sports leagues are in bed with sports betting companies and the whole thing has become commercialized and intertwined with social media and being hip trying to get as many people as possible into becoming gambling addicts. I mean the government created RICO to go after the mob related to gambling but now it's fun for the whole family.
