If you can only fire ONE person before 2026....
Basbear replied to kungfoodude's topic in Carolina Panthers
I agree 100%. Just to add, ANYONE that wants to sign BY to some 300+ million nightmare/contract, they can kick rocks first. Like you said, brad adds nothing. This is war, just bring in a bright forward thinking OC that's going to come up with new plays and ........a fing game plan to beat a 1-8 or 3-10 team...... challenge the defense to defend every blade of glass and evolve this team.... By my eyes Dave is just another Ron Fox wilks 4.2 with his only success being if the score is low and able to run enough...(minus one game.) fug that, thats another big issue, Im just sick of the coach hires, its too many since Rhule. Dave has earned the right to stay, but.......If Dave doesn't want his pilates lover to go be a video assistant for underdawg or whatever betting site that gives him a salary. Peace out bro.... -

If it were that simple, Reich and Canales would have already done it. The next HC would have the same happen. If Canales is gone, I wouldn't be surprised if Tepper elevates Evero to keep him around with Bryce, Tremble and Chuba as agreed upon long term offensive pieces. I believe Reich and Canales would have gone different directions at QB and DC if they were allowed. Wilks even made it known this organization doesn't make the HC the primary partner in personnel decisions. Before the HC even gets a chance it likely goes Nicole > David > Dan > Brandt > Eric > Benjamin 1 > Benjamin 2 > HC I highly doubt hanging the HC wouldn't fix all the problems over his head. -
Best of the defense 1. OLB Trevis Gipson: 81.1 2. CB Mike Jackson: 72.3 3. CB Jaycee Horn: 67.7 4. S Nick Scott: 67.3 5. CB Chau Smith-Wade: 64.8 Jackson and Horn played well against the Saints' ground game—receiving run defense grades of 91.1 and 85.5, respectively. They notched two stops apiece https://pantherswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/panthers/2025/12/15/panthers-pff-grades-week-15-saints/87775473007/

ILB Christian Rozeboom: 26.8 Rozeboom wasn't as solid against the run, earning a team-low 37.7 mark in that department. Going for it instead of leading by two scores in the 4th

I think going for it was right...it's what we do. I think Chuba chose the wrong hole, he dove right into the back of a dude that had already lost and stood straight up. -

NFL kicker in a dome you take the points. Not like it's a last sec kick or a big pressure situation at that point. They showed the other guy hitting from 50 yard line in warmups but our guy can't make a basic in door kick -

Id just let BY contract run out or trade him, like evero he's already dealt with. I would bring back evero if he wants to be here, if his dream is HC, let him go and get a 3rd comp and hire a 3-4 guy. If Dave doesnt want to grow without his BFF, fine he can go too.... Summary- No one that truly want or would be upset if they left, minus the OL gurus goodwin and gibert. Check that Id also only want to keep- Josh Hingst new strength coach, I feel the team *overall has looked stronger (minus playing the fing saints......) toss in Eric Eager, Im no PFF fan, but I do feel he's a big brain person with ideas worth listening too. Just 4 guys Id really be upset about losing, others are ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ -
This made me lol in real life

I liked Bersin. If it hit his hands, he caught it. And he'd go across the middle for a hospital ball fearlessly. But you knew exactly what he was and what to expect. He wasn't Calvin Johnson and was never going to be. Bryce, we're 3 years in and it's week to week, quarter to quarter, drive to drive which version you're getting. There's no way to coach or design an offense around that. -
Yeah, it would upset you. On 3rd down Bryce called his own number and lost. On 4th down Ekwonu lost by not being the low man and Chuba made the wrong decision. Both plays were there with a one on one matchup with TMac and an easier gap that was sealed off with half a step to the left and no defender in it. It was not the play calling on those 2 plays. It was the execution and awareness. Both plays were set up to be wins. The only thing I could say Canales should have done was put Chuba in the 2 spot and Rico in the 3 spot to take the handoff. Rico has better vision with reading gaps and blocks than Chuba. I understand how Canales was using Rico as a decoy with multiple LBs keying on him in that situation, but I'd rather Rico in a short yardage run to seal the game than Bryce or Chuba running the ball and needing to win that last half a yard with much needed power.

The Panthers never should have been in position for this to matter. When we went up 17-10 the Saints actually fumbled on their next drive and a good team actually trying to win their division and lock up a playoff spot would have recovered that fumble and gone on to make the score 24-10. This was a sloppy game from a team known for just that in situations where the pressure is on. And Dave Canales himself basically said the bye week was a factor and that to me is as good of an indicator we should need that we need to prioritize any and all possible head coaching candidate upgrades in the offseason.

Wwe will definitely whore themselves out to any advertiser. And the product is getting terrible. -
Gymnast are 5"3 for a reason and not 6"3 220. How do you attempt to avoid someone you've already committed your body to tackling, do you know how hard it is to bring a 6"5 (Shough) grown man to the ground in full stride.
-
Have you even watched this team this year? They will beat the Bucs and Seattle as home dogs. Tampa will then boat race us in the final game of the year and we will miss the playoffs after the 3rd or 4th tie breaker.
-
We’re not losing out. The roller coaster up down up down juju is too strong. Otherwise I would say we are losing out for sure.
-
fug this season. If we lose .
-
I agree. Was answering the mans question. My faith in the team to perform when it's all on the line could not be any lower right now.
-
My preseason prediction was 6-8 wins with 9 being the absolute ceiling. I didn't think the playoffs were even a option as I thought Tampa would run away with the division easily and 9 wins wouldn't be nearly good enough for a WC. I figured we would come in 2nd place in the division though.
