Is this not a bit contradictory? Also surely if any of us are smart enough to evaluate what we're seeing in real time, a former NFL QB can at least manage the same. Especially considering he's basing his analysis on hours (maybe generous?) of reviewing All-22 footage which he can play back over and over again, focusing each time on different position groups, match-ups, progressions, etc. which is simply impossible for a fan to fully assess in real time. Unless you're actually at the game, we basically only get the QB/O-line in frame during the broadcast and even in that limited window of the field, there is simply too much happening. I'm usually broadly focusing on Bryce, maybe peeping the footwork (or lack thereof) and just the overall pocket and whether there is any pressure coming. I'm not able to watch every individual one-on-one o-line match-up on top of it to see who got beat, who didn't pick up a blitz, which o-lineman didn't shift to help double-team, or whatever else. I think the truth is somewhere in between (as is almost always the case). Knowing the play call, audible, etc. is pretty important when judging individual performances, which is why we should always take PFF grades with a grain of salt. But yeah we can also get a pretty good overall sense of how a player is performing just from watching the game on the couch on Sundays. I still think there's a lot of value in a review video like this. As long as you have the bare minimum media literacy to take the interesting insights while also acknowledging inherent biases from a video like this (i.e. obviously focusing on the good over the bad).

One more thing to notice that bucs fans mentioned in the comments...the blocker that got DEMOLISHED...TB Rookie FIRST ROUND draft pick Graham Barton. That play alone should be an example of how much better of a draft the panthers had than the Bucs.

Same. Some play designs are actually pretty good, but Canales just doesn't strike me as an offensive guru with how some of these plays seem to not help make things easier for our offense at all.

I know you're referring to Cam's running but having watched both players' long careers I can tell you right now Brett Favre took wayyyyyy more of a beating over the years than Cam did in his career. And yet he has probably the most ridiculous record in all of sports with his ironman streak. Injuries come down to luck and genetics more than playstyle. Allen plays the same way Cam did and has been one of the healthiest QBs in the league with no signs of that changing any time soon.

This shouldn't even be a discussion, lol. Shough has less than 200 yards per game, less than 7ypa, 7 TDs to 5 INT and has only even played 9 games. He could throw for 10 TDs and no picks the last 2 games (which he won't do) and he still wouldn't be deserving of OROY.

It's more of a party in recent years with some pretty entertaining activities for viewers. Shows the players having fun and competing in skills MUCH better than playing a real game without anything on the line.

We agree here dawg. I'd love for Bryce to succeed as would all huddlers. I have not seen a single huddler hate Bryce for anything other than his play on the field / potential / skillset. He hasn't gotten any of the irrational hate having nothing to do with football that Cam got. And yeah I understood going into this season with Bryce again as there weren't a ton of options, but man we missed the fuging mark on upgrading at backup QB with someone who could actually push Bryce. Bryce had zero pressure on him with a 100% washed up Dalton being the only other NFL caliber QB in the system. That absolutely needs to change this offseason. Ideally with an actual starter upgrade but that seems extremely unlikely due to not having many FA options and a bad draft. But at the very least with someone like you mentioned, young/upside and/or day 3 pick in the draft. Another note, we have a top paid and top performing OL, great young talent at WR incl. likely OROY, great RB group, average all around TE group, offensive coach with creativity in the system and good play designs (poor situational playcalling but still I put out current offensive coaching staff over Shula who held Cam back for instance). Not the absolute best situation for a QB to be in, but still a very good situation around him. And yet we have a bottom 8 offense (6th lowest points scored). Imagine taking a victory lap for a QB leading his team to the 6th lowest points scored in the league and the 22nd highest passer rating (despite being asked to do less than many other QBs; i.e. Bo Nix who isn't great either and has a slightly lower passer rating but Sean Payton actually lets him try to throw the ball deep and has him throw significantly more than Bryce). While I'd like hockey to be back in Atlanta 'cause hockey is fun, I am skeptical that it'll happen based on previous teams' experience here alternatively: similar to Atlanta hosting a Major Tennis Tournament in advance of the US Open every mid/late summer. Aside from the fact that Atlanta is said to be the country's largest Tennis playing city (with both USTA and ALTA, along with a number of side leagues) - playing tennis outdoors in Atlanta summer is miserable *and* they had difficulty attracting players... ticket sales were not good. So the Atlanta Open closed after 14 years. They just couldn't make it happen, even if for all intents it appears to be massive tennis interest in the surrounding area.

I know, and I do not necessarily disagree. It's a top 30 tv market though, and its supported the xfl/usfl thing that's been there, and the history is what it is. Once the old lady died that Rams team was going back to LA. I can see them coming back up for a team, or more importantly, being a negotiating chip.
