  1. Past hour
  2. On the other hand after last season, it would have been the best time to cut bait. We've just spent big coin all offseason on players that supposedly fit his system and if he shits the bed do our new FAs translate to other schemes for thier cost.
  3. Today
  4. I'd have Ron Rivera as DC honestly at least we were respected on defense. Our defense now seems unorganized and too dependent on luck.
  5. If they cut Joe Flacco let's IR the red rifle and pick him up
  6. The forum largely turning into draft talk by Halloween is an annual Panthers tradition at this point.
  7. I feel like Norman wasn’t playing not because he wasn’t good enough, but it seemed more “teaching you a lesson” -type stuff. Because he always flashed from the beginning, every time he saw the field. I think remember being pissed that we weren’t playing him significantly more early. Tbh, he really shouldn’t have been inactive those first couple years.
  8. People on here just trying to hold on to their off-season hopium for as long as possible. I'm not going to take that away from them. I will say, I wanted to see something different from what went down. I am ready to see the Panthers play competetive meaningful football again. I just hope I am not tracking draft position by week 6 again.
  9. I cra, but hear me out. It would not take us too much work to run a 4-3. I even think, with the personnel we have up front, we could be better off in a 4-3. Nothing we have says 4-3 OLB, but look at this: 4-3 DEs: Wonnum (6-5, 260), Scourton (6-2, 265), Jones (6-4, 265) Princely (6-4, 250 speed rusher), Incoom 6-2, 265) They could add 5 to 10 lbs each, imo. 4-3 DTs. Brown and Brown, Robinson and Wharton (who can play DE in some situations), Cam Jackson 4-3 MLB Wallace (6-1, 244) Rozeboom, Bam Scott 4-3 OLBs This is the position that would need to be addressed. Depth: Kris Barnes (played OLB at UCLA) Add 2 players and sign a cut OLB as depth...
  10. 3-4 is heavily dependent on a good NT and good ends to eat blocks to let the LBs do their job while also being able to be creative on run blitzes. Last year, we had nothing but JAGs in the front 7 due to injury. Hopefully the dline should be much better at eating up blocks this year and helping to stop the run. And I'm pretty sure we still run a lot of nickel despite having a "3-4" defense.
  11. I have no data to back it up but I feel like the league has shifts every 5 years and look…it’s 2025.
  12. Hopefully these judgements aren't being made because the backups looked bad in a preseason game that most coordinators are calling vanilla plays in. That being said... If we look as bad the first half of this season as last year, fire him at the midway point
  13. I think the fact that Evero is still here also is telling about Canales' job security. If he had a solid position as the HC, I think they'd let Evero go and bring in a DC for the future. Giving Evero the last year of his contract to me says if it doesn't work out this season, it's time to clean house and start fresh with a whole new coaching staff. No point bringing in a new DC if that's the case.
  14. He is just a classic The Golden Calf of Bristol/Manziel type. Tons of attention and media hype which attracted insane fanbois and even more insane haters. It's all very stupid.
  15. LOL Imagine embarrassing yourself like this to simp for some other team's 5th round rookie.
  16. I think you are misinformed about how to use it.
  17. To enjoy a Panthers game it's important to bring your poo eating grin with you.
  18. Too soon to tell, I was actually pleased with the 1s Defense without DB and Horn. Certainly I expect this defense to improve by about 10 spots provided they stay relatively healthy
  19. Always trying to frame an argument by putting words in people's mouths, displaying juvenile clowning based upon your own words and throwing out insults when a person calls it out. That's the shtick.
  20. First of all, you can think what you want. I've been told that I am intelligent by much better than the likes of you. Intelligent people don't really have to proclaim it. People generally just know that a person is intelligent based upon their quality of thought. In my experience, people of lower IQ and/or those who have other personal issues respond with insults because they are intimidated simply because they know they're not as intelligent. I have never self-proclaimed to be intelligent that I recall, and if I did, it's only in response to your repeated assholery. You got issues, bud. Secondly, 32 teams didn't need a QB or perceived that they needed a QB. Of the ones that did, some logically thought that there were better options, and I certainly can't say the ones that did colluded. I will say that NFL execs and coaches aren't beyond being affected by narratives based upon things other than a person's ability, are even affected by media-driven b.s., and they certainly are subject to the politics of it all, as was the case with Collin Kaepernick for example.
  21. Well, at least we haven't resorted to selling poo shaped pretzels and telling fans it's meant to be our logo, but maybe we should look into it
  22. Yeah, outside of the TD drive there wasn't a whole lot to be hopeful about. I mean, even the starting D benefitted from Shedeur missing a couple of throws and a receiver cutting off a comeback route half a yard short on 3rd down. It was more about the Browns failing to capitalize than it was about them forcing stops.
  23. A lot of people seem to have a significant emotional attachment to Shedeur. Why is that? I don’t pay attention to college so I’ve never seen him play. i don’t get the cult following. Please explain.
  24. I don’t know, I’m kinda worried. Did our starters score 7 points? Yes, but went 3 and out, wasn’t it, on the first drive against second and third stringers. The touchdown was against the same group but come on, first stringers did not look good to me at all. I felt like the oline struggled, Bryce did ok, defense was lacking albeit missing a couple of key players and special teams was just…special. Preseason is preseason, I get it, but I refuse to get my hopes up this year especially after what I saw Friday night. 10-30 against the browns 2nd stringers and down does not instill confidence in me.
