Relatively even except for QB

We have been doing that since Foreman. Since CMC has been gone. Chuba, I know. I think we could have a stalwart under a multi year for continuity and fill in around him. Hoping for more from Chuba this year though.

1 year prove it deals. This is how we should be signing RBs.
-
We badly need a role player that can pound the rock when we need a yard or two. And be an outlet receiver. Even if Brooks comes back we don’t have that short yardage guy.
-
Brooks starts the year on PUP and we squeeze the last of Dillon’s NFL career until Brooks gets right

I think they are closer to each other than in quite some time. The obvious upgrade needed on offense is get Qb play that doesn’t rank in the mid 20s. Granted WR and TE and probably C could be upgraded but a better QB might make what we already have, better. Even XL looked better with just Dalton. RB too, but we might have something there if Brooks can play. Defense we need some help for DB up front and another ILB and two or three more pieces. S, edge, cb. -
Hm seems bad news for either Brooks injury or how the staff views Etienne. Thought we’d roll with our current room. That being said Dan has been killing it on these cheap 1 year deals so worst case he doesn’t make the roster and we’re out a tiny amount. Probably our short yardage guy/tush push if he makes the roster we don’t have a RB his size

insurance in case Jonthan Brooks can't play this season imo

I don’t know if he is the right one but he is exactly the type I think we should add. Short yardage guy that can catch. He doesn’t seem to be the most talented guy that ever suited up….

This was Dave Gettleman's bread and butter. Sign low to mid level veteran free agents who overachieve their 1 year contracts.

Good signing. Could do much worse for 3rd string back.

We might want to find someone to cover Sadiq when TB takes him.

Nerve damage in your neck sounds like a bitch but if he wants to...

Offense needs the most help because it's biggest need is the most important position. Unfortunately nothing can be done to fix that in the draft. I think you'll get a better return on investment with defense in the 1st round outside of a starting caliber left tackle. -

Which side of the ball needs more help?

We really need another stud beside DB. Unless a stud OT falls to us I would spend that 1st on a DT. -
The defense probably needs more help because it has a couple spots which are probably more true holes, but it really isn’t that simple. offense is inherently more valuable-it’s more expensive, the rules favor it, it’s harder to come by certain skill sets. Guys like Sadiq or Concepcion theoretically allow this team to do stuff it just doesn’t have the personnel to do right now. Then there’s OT-you’ve got one guy under contract behind this season, question marks with your LT, a class that’s uniquely fertile in our spot for options, and the skepticism that you’ll have an opportunity to take one next offseason if you’re picking later in the draft. they can’t stand pat at a couple spots on defense, but that doesn’t mean they cannot acquire those positions elsewhere. The offensive spots are much harder to come by when not using a 1st rounder.

There is really nothing you can do about that this year. We resigned him at least the next 2 years. There is only 1 first round QB legit that would take Bryce job. So you have to get better where you can to help Bryce get to where he needs to be. Personally I think he's fine. Not great not bad he's in that darnold territory. - Today
