  1. Past hour
  2. eh Christensen blew out his Achilles, he might be washed.
  3. Just don't draft another player who has a major injury. Lesson learned, hopefully.
  4. Given Bryce is so good on 4th down why do we bother with the other 3 downs?
  5. Yeah, he's largely forgotten in NFL history but damn he had a couple years there where he looked like he was gonna be an all time great. The guy had 1600 yards at 23 years old. He ran a 4.3 flat at 6'1" 215. Then he basically tried to become a body builder while still in the NFL and his knees couldn't hold up to the weight. Then a few years later we basically watched that same story play out with Laron Landry.
  6. The panthers offense right now is spiritually the same as the 2010s Seahawks. They want to keep it close until the fourth quarter and then try to pull a rabbit out of their hat. instead of running marshawn into the line 30 times a game, we’re throwing 20 passes behind the line of scrimmage. And instead of Russell Wilson bullshit, we’re getting 20 yard drives to set up a 55 yard field goal. Also that team had multiple hall of famers and we’ve got the worst qb in the league by whatever collections of metrics you want to use
  7. So if Bryce could have come to Carolina with the same advantages he had every year at Alabama he would have been successful. Good coaches. Top recruiting classes far better than the opposition. Defense able to bail him out if he has a bad game. Still doesnt change anything regarding footwork, mechanics, drop backs, reading the field, poor placement or any of the other myriad of issues that are still present in year 3. Bryce wasn't ready to be the day 1 starter. There's nothing wrong with that. Dalton was clearly the more capable QB, as evidenced by what happened in Seattle in the rain, under extreme pressure. Same players, same coach, same terrible offensive line. Two different offenses. When you look at Bryce and what he's done in game over the course of 3 years it's not pretty. He has moments of good, but there's been a lot more WTF. But saying Bryce would have been able to lead a team to the playoffs? Based on what we saw from him, he probably would have spent a good bit of year one on the bench holding a clipboard.
  8. Feels on brand for Mike Brown. He's very anti trade.
  9. There's a name I have not heard in a very long time.
  10. Shades of the Super Bowl in 2015. Boy we like to leave our tackles on an island....
  11. The panthers offense is predicated around a group of ten players running wind sprints for 3 quarters and wearing out the defensive linebackers and DBs while scoring 13 points, then scratching out a last second field goal as time expires. brooks was basically a faster Chuba in that nonstop screen stretch run offense. It makes sense we’d need another running back just to help tire out the defense. this strategy works against the worst teams in the league, or the packers in a hurricane if all their receivers get hurt.
  12. Paying Higgins was so dumb. Said well before they signed him that given the state of their OL and their D they were basically in a situation where they had to either trade him, let him walk, or tag and trade him. They have tons of cap invested in offensive skill positions but the rest of their roster is a disaster.
  13. I kinda like this idea. The black, blue, and white is solid. When we wear all whites or some other combinations, there is no gray/silver in the uniform. Personally, I think our logo would pop on a white helmet--not a popular idea, but most of my ideas aren't.
  14. Today
  15. Anything to get rid of the silver/gray. Remove it from any and all Panthers uniforms totally. It's ugly and senseless with our logo.
  16. Yeah, it was such an insanely luxury pick. You know what makes it look so much more insanely bad? Rico Dowdle. So we get one of the most productive RB's in the NFL for pennies on a one year deal. So why was it necessary to draft an injured RB again? Just Panthers poo.
  17. Yeah, I was on that bandwagon as well. I liked Egbuka and Burden as my other top guys at WR. I will say, as good as some of the WR's in this class has been, the TE class has really lived up to the hype. There are a BUNCH of impact rookies at TE.
  18. Lmao imagine tank dell playing with Bryce Literally would not be able to see him.
  19. Alright so Tepper is to blame for the situation. Reich didn’t want Young. What a god damn horrible situation for a rookie QB to walk into then Houston had the 2nd overall pick… but they had one hell of an offseason. They hire DeMeco Ryans. Hire Bobby Slowik. Trade up for Will Anderson after drafting CJ Stroud. They also drafted Tank Dell. They sign Danielle Hunter. They sign Dalton Shultz (we tried to sign Shultz he said no and we gave the contract we offered Shultz to Hayden Hurst). The year prior they drafted Stingley and Pitre. So many of you miss the bigger picture with so much of this stuff
  20. Yeah, I will wager the instances of teams making the playoffs with negative point differentials are quite small statistically. It just makes sense. If you are rarely outscoring other teams....well....that means you lose a lot.
  21. Same. I'm very protective of our uniforms. They are already the best in the game. I do like the new black helmet though. Im okay with color changes. I just don't really care for big design changes. Not needed at all.
