  1. Past hour
  2. Agreed. Hes supremely talented but that will still mean we used a 2nd on a guy that is halfway into a rookie deal before we get to use him. And then what? A second contract for a rb is typically a bad move. Its just a low probability move all the way around. May work this time, but its not the smart play generally.
  3. Hopefully, you’ll be taking this back next season.
  4. Better than drafting a guy with a collapsed knee.....IN THE SECOND FUGING ROUND!
  5. Of course, but not winning the Super Bowl doesn’t automatically make this a poor deal. If Parsons wins DPOTY each of the next four years, I wouldn’t view the contract as a failure. To me, there are two ways this contract isn’t a massive failure: 1) win a Super Bowl 2) Parsons is the most dominant defensive player over the next 4 years
  6. If you think you have your franchise QB and the Packers clearly believe they do this was a good trade to make for them 2 1sts and washed Kenny Clark for a bonafide hall of famer entering his prime If our FO truly believe Bryce was 100% that guy then this was a move we should’ve made. Micah Parsons is as special as it gets on the defensive side of the ball
  7. Damned typos. That used to rarely happen before the age of the Internet. I should probably give it five minutes after awakening from my slumber. poo, that won't probably help either.
  8. Today
  9. Meh. Some guys are three-down backs. Hell, that's really how it always used to be. CMC was a special back (when he was on the field). Ironically his body has afforded others plenty of playing time, no matter how "selfish"of can he was/is.
  10. Great, with those 1st round picks, watch the Cowboys draft the next Micah Parsons.
  11. There’s no way it will work out, it never does. See: Deshaun Watson and, going a little further back for a better comparison, Khalil Mack. Super Bowl teams aren’t built on a huge free agency splash signings. This will be more of a distraction than anything else. Unless it’s a multiple SB winning QB (and there’s only one of those right now) no one player is worth this kind of capital to acquire.
  12. Hmmm... Maybe he is right, but just reading your comment (I didn't listen to the podcast) makes it sound like Davis is upset he didn't touch the ball. Honestly, our coaching staff relied on CMC so much his last two to three years, it may not have only been CMC wanting to stay on. And while getting the ball six times in a row can be unusual, CMC was the rare player that was both the best running back and receiver on the team... I just think that speaks to CMC wanting to win and knowing that he was the best offensive player on the field for us. I still envision a parallel universe where Stanford didn't run CMC into the ground and he stays healthy for us his entire time playing for us.
  13. Yeah.. I felt like he looked 80 years old like 30 years ago... Dude has aged terribly and I feel like he has to be pretty close to death's doorstep
  14. I came across an interesting and rather unusual take from former Panthers running back Mike Davis about his ex-teammate Christian McCaffrey. On the “Raw Room” podcast, Davis described his time in Carolina playing behind McCaffrey as a “blessing” overall. But then the tone switched as he threw in this sharply worded critique: McCaffrey was “selfish as hell” for how much playing time he hogged. Don't believe me? Here’s what Davis specifically said: He recalled how even when McCaffrey had a bruised foot, Davis expected to see some action—only to watch McCaffrey stay on the field the entire game. He keeps piling on and on, just flabberghasted at McCaffrey's selfishness for staying in the game despite his touched. Quite the interesting podcast, lol. 15. I mean considering the fact that Hooker is already 27 so pretty much past fixable and not really all that mobile I think Bryce Perkins would be the most versatile scout team qb out of the 3. Hooker>Plummer though for sure if Perkins wasn't/isn't an option.
  16. A competent GM could have turned that Burns trade into 4 or 5 day 1 picks and still ended up with BY. Fitts was just so fugging bad.
  17. Well, as far as backups go, Kyle Allen is actually a decent one. Better at this point than Dalton probably. That being said, Hooker apparently had an atrocious game against the Texans.
  18. i wouldn't say that yet. I also wouldn't say he's done anything that makes me think he's particularly good. i think that's about right for compensation both ways for thielen considering the state of the vikings and Panthers. The weirdest thing is that technically the panthers should be adding veteran salary cap right now; they have a high cost first overall qb on a rookie contract; that's the best advantage in the NFL in this day and age. It hasn't worked out because, well, the qb they drafted isn't good and they've ignored other parts of the team to try to bolster him. so what's morgan really supposed to do? Are they tanking with a rookie qb in year three that the owner probably personally wanted drafted? Are they actually trying to win games this year with 80 career catches between their top three receivers? The defense is probably going to be terrible. What kind of jump are people actually expecting from Coker, Bryce, XL, and performance from a rookie to overcome that? It's not realistic. At the end of the day I don't think Thielen wanted to end his career here and I don't blame him. Minnesota is going to compete this year and Carolina isn't. I also think this is to toss Bryce to the wolves and be done with him one way or another. There's no way this works. This is not a move you make if you're trying to win football games.
  19. If he helps them win a super bowl the individual award is irrelevant.
  20. Love the way Duke came out and dominated Elon in the second half. Did not love the way they played at all in the first half. Got a lot of missed tackles on film for this week and the next game's not gonna be easy at all.
  21. I think Steve Reid tweeted his notes without trying to make them sentences.
  22. lol how incredibly stupid, this team man just never stops
  23. God Almighty these announcers are awful. This is obviously a TD.
