  1. Past hour
  2. Sam made his turnaround here when we started running the ball and letting him use the Play Action at the end of the 2022 season. I think spending time with Shannahan and O’Connell helped him dial that in.
  3. I hope the Raiders doesn't tank Mendoza's career. The dude has serious promise, but he can only do so much for as a dumpster fire organization with their massive limitations.
  4. It might just be me, but I am detecting a sliver of sarcasm here.
  5. There is a huge deficit on teams needing QBs vs starting caliber QBs available in the draft/FA. I think he could get a shot somewhere desperate like NYJ or Cleveland
  6. There were a handful of QBs and we had our choice of them if we had not panicked and gave up so much for the worst pick out of the bunch.
  7. I just came across this. I'm telling y'all Dallas has an monster boner for this guy. NO WAY he lasts until #19. It's silly to keep mocking him to the Panthers unless you have a trade ahead of the Cowgirls.
  8. Seems like he’s going back to his natural persona which got him a broken jaw with the Jets. Yeah, I don’t think he’ll want to come here as a backup anyway
  9. Darnold was never going to be the player he is now with Matt Rhule or Steve Wilks. But as has been stated repeatedly he always had all necessary physical tools to be a top 10 QB. Anyways between the two current teams in the Super Bowl the bigger whiff is not just waiting another year and drafting Drake Maye without giving up a ransom. We are in the position we are in because our owner was both impatient and desperate to win something in the eyes of the media. He made a big splash. The biggest he had yet. And it's been our biggest regret probably in franchise history. Now finally he is exercising patience but with the wrong guy. And there is a possibility we back our way into QB purgatory and sign him to a contract extension. Ultimately it all goes back to Tepper.
  10. I don't see how. He's definitely on the decline and looked like complete ass this year playing for a coach and in a system he knew well. I'd rather take a chance kn a younger guy or a rookie in the draft than washed ass Geno.
  11. That experience he gained with Shanahan and McDonald is what elevated Sam. You could see glimpses of it here but the coaching he received in SF and MIN are the difference.
  12. It would have been nice to see what Dave could have done with Sam.
  13. This team simply needs more blue chip talent which is why BPA is the only way to go. It’s the best way to sustain long term success
  14. Darnold is a great example of how much coaching matters. If Tepper didnt swing his dick around and forced Rhule on us, we mightve gotten a better coaching staff and Darnold would be a better situation.Tepper just fuged everything up. From coaching staff decisions, to QB decisions. We are still dealing with his last fug up in Young.
  15. Sam Darnold is still very much Sam Darnold. That's been evident all season long. The Seahawks simply are a better team than the Jets and Panthers were.
  16. Today
  17. Even if he was on this team today, he wasn't going to take it to the Super Bowl. Sam is where he is supposed to be.
  18. Should've, could've would've. Thanks Rhule
  19. I could see him coming in to the the back-up but with how QB needy so many teams are this year, he will probably get a job elsewhere for the #1 spot. Dan also gave the impression during his press conference that he’s going to be looking for a younger QB
  20. Yeah, in addition to being ass on the field he came across as just an ass in general this year. Hard pass. If we go with another aging vet option, I guess Mariota would be my choice.
  21. Damn if only we had thought to build the a top 3 defense to carry him to the SB. Oh well, live and learn, glad we re-signed Evero.
  22. Sam got excellent coaching in SF and in Minny. Baker had sometime with McVay. Coaching matters.
  23. If I'm not mistaken, Sam started football later in life than most QBs. Some people need time to develop and when given the opportunity, can find success if they get a few tries at something. Good for Sam, he's always been a class act and I hope he wins a superbowl. Having said that, in pro sports, you can't hold on to a guy for seven years in hopes that they realize their potential.
  24. That should be correct. All the conditions for it to work in our favor played out
