  1. Past hour
  2. I mean, I hear you, but 9 is special. I believe that he's just too small to succeed in the NFL. The kid can't see and misses reads, much less passes. I mean he is more on his tippy toes than a ballerina. To your point, I remember some talking bad about Jordan Love when it was suggested that we trade for him.
  3. I get your points and the logic of the post is valid but I'D LOVE TO FACE YOUNG 2 TIMES A YEAR lol
  4. Another thing successful teams do is hold their players accountable. First you have to earn a starting position, its not just given because of when you were drafted. You play bad? You sit on the bench. We don't do that here. Hell you can be one of the worst players on the team and be named captain.
  5. I was giving examples of current, successful franchises. Not entire histories. Every team in the NFL has sucked at one point or another. The teams that are successful right now, and have been for several years, have shown patience in their process.
  6. I do feel the need to say, he’s got 15 targets through two weeks. He’s surely showing something in practice to command volume like that. im not optimistic, but here’s hoping he gets it figured out.
  7. The toe was bad, the walking slowly back to the LOS at the end of the first half was SOOOOOOOOOO much worse. That's literally middle school football 101, end of a half in the hurry up, you don't just casually stroll back to the LOS, just mind boggling how that can happen in the NFL like that.
  8. Leavitt is a redshirt sophomore. I'd be surprised if he declares as well.
  9. 89 was 100% a bad person and teammate in Carolina. It’s not me saying it. And sure, everything factors. 89 wasn’t just involved in some football scuffles. He assaulted people. Multiple people. And reporters from that era have always hinted on other incidents that remained hidden. and he can’t keep what a jerk human he is hidden in his post playing career. Whether that his personal life spilling over into TMZ or him clowning his colleagues for clicks. if you want to put 89 ahead of Cam, Peppers and Luke? Do you. Cam was the most impactful. Peppers had the best career. Luke the best actual football player. 89 ain’t jumping them for me
  10. Given all the Young hate here, I thought it would be interesting to have a look at some prior QB’s who’ve been similarly treated. Sam Arnold was brought here, had a couple of bad games and was summarily trashed by everyone. Then Baker Mayfield was brought in, had a couple of bad games, and like Darnold, was trashed. I remember everyone here posting how they weren’t “NFL starting material.” Well…. Darnold took the Vikings to the playoffs with a 14-3 record last year and has the Raiders looking good this year. Mayfield went on to the Bucs after and has led them to 3 straight NFC Championships. Again, neither of them are “starting” material according to a lot of you. It’s not only them either. Daniel Jones was run out of NY because he wasn’t good enough and yet he has lead the Colts to a 2-0 record and has the best stats of any QB so far this season. Mac Jones wasn’t good enough for the Patriots but is doing very well with the 49ers as well. Sometimes it not the player but rather it’s the lack of sound coaching that holds a player back. I’m not sure either Frank Reich or Dave Canales have been the best for Young’s development at this point. Of course I know a lot of you don’t care about all that so say you get your wish and they get rid of Young - then what. Maybe they can draft a “generational talent” like Trevor Lawrence or Caleb Williams. Maybe they could sign a free agent like Aaron Rodgers. Not really sure how much better we would be with any of them at this point. I know Young is an easy target but I just don't believe he is the real problem at this point. But hey, maybe he’ll go to the Saints and we can watch as he wins NFC South with them. You know history has a way of repeating itself.
  11. Lmao give me a room full of JAGs if that is your definition. Shaq was a dog
  12. I think what makes a qb elite is when every week you think your team has a chance to win because of your qb. No matter who they play, they always make you feel like you have a chance. I have not gotten that feeling once while watching Bryce.
  13. Great point! The quotes from O'Connell about teams failing rookie Qbs and the one about how you coach them after 3 picks and a loss were really interesting. To me, an idiot with a keyboard, it means NFL teams need to be patience if they are going to have quality QB play. So bringing me to Bryce, is there some benefit to being patient. I know it's not a particularly popular opinion around here, and even I am having a hard time wrapping my head around it. Most QBs, when benched lose their confidence. It takes a LONG time to get it back. Bryce on the other hand was benched, and came back a different player. I feel like that's worth a lot more than the physical talents of a guys like AR15... I think Bryce has the mental make up to be a good NFL QB. His problem will always be his tools. Now it's on coaching to work around that. Bryce is more physically gifted than late years Drew Brees (low bar, I know). While I'm content to see what happens this season, there's a small part of me that says...maybe we should see what grows? (let me duck and hide from the well earned vitriol the Panthers have earned). Then again, I agree that some guys get it while others just don't. I'm still hoping for the Panthers and Bryce to find success this season. But if not, I won't be too surprised if the plug is pulled and there is a restart.
  14. I think some of you are just still getting on him for failing to drag the toe. He's being grossly misused, and Bryce has been a pitiful excuse for a QB the first couple of games, so X may be discouraged. He's still trying though. I think that's been evident, even though some argue differently.
  15. We used to be spoiled at the position, but no more. Shaq didn't exactly continue the streak of excellence, but Shaq's worst day appears to be better than any 'backer on the current roster's best day.
  16. Also, now that I think about it, Etienne has flashed a few times. Worth being considered for up/watch lists.
  17. The Shaq slander is crazy. Acting like underselling him twice as much as he was overpaid does not bring balance to the force.
  18. After Manning's rookie season, where he threw a record 28 interceptions, and guided the Colts to a 3-13 mark, surely spent that offseason watching true crime shows on Netflix, playing GTA and just chilling.
  19. Bills: had a bunch of horrible years Packers: were really really bad in the mid 80s Lions: historically bad, like, forever. Look at them now Dolphins: only team to go 16-0. This week? Bottom of the barrel New England: 132 years of wins under Bill+Tom. Since then, horrible Tampa: laughing stock until their uniform/stadium redesign point is that winning can be cyclical. We all wants wins NOW but we may have to wait for all the pieces to fall into place
  20. Shaq was the new James Anderson. whatever folks want to call that.
