Probability Analysis of the Burns and DJ decision
Khaki Lackey replied to Evil Hurney's topic in Carolina Panthers
Of course we can easily find a DL replacement. Have we already forgotten how nicely Kony Ealy and Vernon Butler fell into place? -

My theory is that McAdoo has just been delivering what his bosses wanted. During Wilk's half time interview during the Rams game he was asked about the offensive game plan (i.e. not throwing the ball downfield) Wilk's said that we were going to "stay the course." Which led to me believe that it was his call. Who know's, but I've had no complaints about the offensive play calling the last two games. It's possible that Wilk's is trying to let go of his Rivera-like tendencies and has taken the handcuffs off McAdoo/PJ.

We have our Franchise LT with Ickey
Khaki Lackey replied to Chris Smitty's topic in Carolina Panthers
I know the narrative is that Rhule never did anything right and because Rhule mentioned arm length, almost the entire huddle stop believing in measurables instantly and simultaneously, but it's possible that BC was brought along 100% correctly. For a later round pick, he's developed nicely as a guard that could swing out to tackle in a pinch. Rhule said he could be a really good tackle and or an elite guard and he may have been right about that. -
Let's talk about Donte Jackson and his Fragility
Khaki Lackey replied to Ricky Spanish's topic in Carolina Panthers
Djax isn't a big dude. The NFL is rough. Horn, on the other hand, looks like he has the build to withstand an NFL beatdown, but so far hasn't. -
They need to get a deal done with him ASAP

Players hoping to help Wilks win the full time job
Khaki Lackey replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
Good point, but it does beg the question, "Does McAdoo get a pass for his games under Rhule's tenure?" Everyone else in the organization seems to be. He builds an offense, and gets a different QB thrown in his lap last minute. Wilks was asked about the offensive game plan against the Rams at halftime, specifically asking about the lack of downfield throws and Wilks' answer was essentially "We're staying the course" (which gave me a very Rivera vibe) So I'm kind of wondering is McAdoo as bad as advertised or just delivering what his bosses ordered. -
I like Wilks. I just don’t want another defensive minded coach. I think a Wilks tenure would be Rivera 2.0 (or Fox 3.0 for that matter.)

Between Teddy's contract and picking up Sam's option...mind boggling moves. Fitts has to take at least some responsibility for the Sam option.

PFT ARTICLE: The Panthers slide squarely into tank mode
Khaki Lackey replied to WarPanthers89's topic in Carolina Panthers
I don't really consider what we are doing is tanking. It's obvious we went into the season attempting to compete. We weren't winning with CMC and we're wasting what's left of his career here. Now, not playing obviously better players or incentivizing players to eff up on purpose, that's a true tank. -
No team was going to give up a first for a RB. It just wasn't going to happen.

Can someone do a summary? I'm not listening to 5 minutes of someone's mom.
-
Yes he sucks, but his biggest problem is he seems to deliver what his "bosses" want. I doubt it was him that changed his game plan from bad to worse after Wilks took over.

Yeah, I didn't make the original post about it, I just translated it. Easterby being a charlatan has zero to do with him being a Christian.

Jones: Tepper now looking for "a young offensive mind"
Khaki Lackey replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
Please be true. I just want to watch a competent offense for once. -
Yeah, that was worded terribly. The Texans owner is a Christian and probably conservative. Easterby is a bible thumping motivational speaker charlatan who weaseled his was into an NFL front office job despite having less football experience than the average huddle member.
-
Fair enough. Between Fox and Rivera I watched two decades of accepted mediocrity. I want better. I’m tired of watching 70s football.
-
He’s Rivera Jr. If you want to watch Fox-ball and go .500, he’s your guy.

There were posters on here during the Byron Bell and Matt Kalil years that were literally saying take an LT in the first, even if the only one available looks awful. Some people like symbolic gestures to make them feel like something proactive is being done, others on here are just plain stupid.

We all owe Teddy Bridgewater an apology
Khaki Lackey replied to ENC Pantherfan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Fug Teddy. Bouncing him was one of the few correct things Rhule did -
Just how deeply disliked was Matt Rhule?
Khaki Lackey replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yeah, his initial speech creeped me out but everyone said, “players would run through a wall for him.” I thought “meh, it may work for guys in their 20s.” After all, Ray Lewis’ pump-up gibberish speeches never made sense to me either.
