  1. Also, I think the days of a decent athlete never having to enter a classroom are over. I think even Chapel Hill basketball players have to pretend to be students occasionally nowadays.
  2. Me too. I think it's because we really want our team to curb stomp the Stillers in front of all the bandwagon NC fans. But as Panthers fans, we hardly ever get anything we really want.
  3. We gave up on Rhule before he could give his "van down by the river" speech, which was usually the catalyst for the turning point.
  4. If we retain Wilks, that's all a QB has to do. He would ask the same out of Patrick Mahommes.
  5. I guess we have another decade of "play not to lose" Foxball incoming. Beat the bad teams, get smoked by the good ones. Winning season every other year, playoff push every 5 if we happen to draft well. It's sad that the Rhule experiment has us so traumatized that we're ecstatic to have another "Mister .500"
  6. Yeah that was when I knew with 100% certainty that Rhule sucked. When he announced that "the process" was just a catchphrase and not an actual plan.
  7. So he wasn’t insinuating the guy was a homosexual by saying he eats dingalings and he meant it as a compliment? Interesting.
  8. Even if there were people saying this, is it really any more irritating that the people that start building time machines every time Fields has a decent game?
  9. To commemorate this event, I will be wearing a tank top on Sunday.
  10. Did someone complain about the ads in the game day thread?
  11. Of course we can easily find a DL replacement. Have we already forgotten how nicely Kony Ealy and Vernon Butler fell into place?
  12. My theory is that McAdoo has just been delivering what his bosses wanted. During Wilk's half time interview during the Rams game he was asked about the offensive game plan (i.e. not throwing the ball downfield) Wilk's said that we were going to "stay the course." Which led to me believe that it was his call. Who know's, but I've had no complaints about the offensive play calling the last two games. It's possible that Wilk's is trying to let go of his Rivera-like tendencies and has taken the handcuffs off McAdoo/PJ.
  13. I know the narrative is that Rhule never did anything right and because Rhule mentioned arm length, almost the entire huddle stop believing in measurables instantly and simultaneously, but it's possible that BC was brought along 100% correctly. For a later round pick, he's developed nicely as a guard that could swing out to tackle in a pinch. Rhule said he could be a really good tackle and or an elite guard and he may have been right about that.
  14. Djax isn't a big dude. The NFL is rough. Horn, on the other hand, looks like he has the build to withstand an NFL beatdown, but so far hasn't.
  15. They need to get a deal done with him ASAP
  16. Good point, but it does beg the question, "Does McAdoo get a pass for his games under Rhule's tenure?" Everyone else in the organization seems to be. He builds an offense, and gets a different QB thrown in his lap last minute. Wilks was asked about the offensive game plan against the Rams at halftime, specifically asking about the lack of downfield throws and Wilks' answer was essentially "We're staying the course" (which gave me a very Rivera vibe) So I'm kind of wondering is McAdoo as bad as advertised or just delivering what his bosses ordered.
  17. I like Wilks. I just don’t want another defensive minded coach. I think a Wilks tenure would be Rivera 2.0 (or Fox 3.0 for that matter.)
