With Panthers cleaning house how safe is Bryce
MechaZain replied to Frank9999's topic in Carolina Panthers
New regime is not going to be loyal to Bryce but they're not going to be so bold as to push their own guy. They'd be really putting themselves out there if they dump him and then he thrives on other team practically for free. -
I don't understand why people think adding another middle man to the front office solves anything. Tepper can't hire a good GM or HC to save his life but somehow is going to find the right person to give the keys to? What happens if they're another bad hire? Should he intervene or stay out of it and let the "professionals" work?" Like he may fade out of the public eye for a bit but there's no way around the fact that he's making the calls in the end, I'm sorry guys. Just gotta hope he's learning from his mistakes.

Pulling the plug on Young now would be dumber than anything Fitterer did here -
We're still doing this after 100+ years of experience brought us our worst staff yet huh? Denver beat us in the Super Bowl with their MVP QB as GM but carry on

Wouldn’t you rather just have Christian McCaffery, DJ Moore…
MechaZain replied to HardcoreHokie's topic in Carolina Panthers
He definitely requested a trade. I remember how the media at the time kept suggesting he go elsewhere and he sounded more open to the idea each time. Then Mama McCaffery showed their hand. CMC was the entire offense and we didn't even get a first round pick back, I can't see Rhule doing that willingly. -
Belichick would give Tepper some plausible deniablity in the state of team so I definitely see it happening for that reason alone. "You wanted a football guy heres the one with the most rings."

There's photos of Jerry Jones fondling women on google my brother

It's a cruel joke how the weapons we gave up for Young are like made for his skillset- 37 replies

Sports teams are a toy or hobby to the rich. It's not about making money; they have better ways to do that. He's a fantasy football player with the means to do it for real.

Longer view of the tossing episode

Was eating dinner in Manhattan last night and I overheard someone say "David Tepper." Didn't know why until this morning. -
What you paying Derrick Brown…. 4 years $100 million

I'd give Burns a fat guarantee if he'd settle for 3 years -
Not good enough for that contract but not bad at all

Sitting the guy that would put you in a better position to win the game is tanking. Denver cares more about saving that cash longterm than whether they win these games. My point is the anti-tankers here love to act like this doesn't happen and teams' priority every week is to win.

"professional football teams don't tank" camp real quiet rn

Should we seriously consider Evero for head coach?
MechaZain replied to PleaseCutStewart's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yeah I don't think Tabor was first choice for interim -
“Terrible position” lol offensive coordinator with a #1 pick QB

If he’s anywhere near what he was hyped up to be then he’s going to work his ass off this offseason and just maybe, with halfway competent coaching, he’ll rise to the occasion. The knock was that he’s never had to overcome real adversity. Well now he’s got it. Time to see whether everything about his work ethic and studiousness was bullpoo too.

Confused Why Some Seem to Think We Got Fleeced
MechaZain replied to Daddy_Uncle's topic in Carolina Panthers
This is Scott Fitterer in a nutshell. He’ll come up a fair deal based on market conditions and asset value or whatever but has no eye for scouting. It’s like having a finance algorithm as GM which is probably why Tepper has kept him around. -
Bryce Young is historically bad, and he's regressing
MechaZain replied to TN05's topic in Carolina Panthers
Next year is make or break for Bryce and poor play in a system we won’t be using isn’t doing him any favors. Sit him and hope he can wash the stench of the season off.
