Unless YGM shows more in practice he will have limited snaps. He did not show anything in the preseason so it will be an up hill battle. Haynes / Barno has a better chance for breakout. Barno also looked good in the preseason and was held out the last game.

Sorry, Taylor Jr over Henderson. Henderson has been fine in the preseason where Taylor continues to get burned.

We took the right QB. Young looks so poised in the pocket while running less than vanilla plays. He will be a star in the NFL sooner rather than later.

I agree, but Barno looks the part at outside LB more so the YGM. YGM could get cut if he does not show out tonight.

You left off Zavala at guard. I doubt he gets cut. I agree with the rest of the roster.

Can’t remember a training camp where the offense is scoring so many touchdowns. Seems like the defense always dominated and the excuse was the offense takes longer to develop than the D.

He looks thicker than Stroud. To me Stroud was 6-3 but not that big. His frame was the same as Young. Now Young is a bit thicker.

Not sure why the media is downplaying the Panthers. We have a better roster this year on both sides of the ball and one of the best coaching staffs in the NFL. The only major player we lost is Moore but I think we have an overall better WR core. Saunders will help the passing he game with his catching ability out of the back field and Hurst is an upgrade at TE. The QB room has been upgraded even if Dalton is QB1. The same OL is back, which will be tops in the league. The defense has a few key additions on an already good defense from last year. Media has ranked the Panthers off-season as one of the best but rank the team overall lower than the Bucs, Saints and Falcons in the worst division in the NFL. WTF!!!

I don’t have a problem with Richardson if we trade down. But… we have to get a better haul than what we gave up to go to #1. We could have had Richardson at #9. I think the ones who are on the Richardson train are more enamored with his athletic abilities than his QB skills.

I am settling this now. Take Young because of his football IQ and game tape and do not worry about his size. The GOAT of WRs Steve Smith, played at 197 pounds. Look at the hits he took across the middle and didn’t flinch. Young is smart and knows where the pressure is coming and can get the ball out quick. The best under pressure in college football the past two seasons. He knows how to evade and avoid big hits. Stroud is 6’3 and 218 on a good day. He is not a bulky QB and when comparing his frame to Young there is not much difference.

Heard on PFT this morning the NFL committee is voting on having a 3rd QB as an emergency backup on the roster for game days. Keeping MC would be a no brainer.

Young’s ProDay he did miss on the deep balls but he over threw the receiver which far better than under throwing. Stroud is so natural letting the ball flick off his wrist but the receivers were slowing down a bit when catching the deep balls. Those would not be completions in the NFL. Regardless, is it a tough call between Young and Stroud.
