  1. I know people are shitting on your take, but Wilks did a good job, and he showed he is better than what he’s given credit for in this sub. Not his staff, not his roster. And he has this team in playoff talks until week 17. He’s not a sexy new toy offensive wunderkind, so he gets poo on more than he should be.
  2. I respect and give too much credit to Brees for the Saints success to give up anything for a Brees-less Peyton. Too much of a risk. No thanks.
  3. But can Corral/rookie be his next Brees? There’s a little bit of Bill/Brady thing going on. Peyton didn’t stick around for a rebuild/finding a new QB. Seems like having to trade assets to find the answer is a bit pricey.
  4. A friend sent me this. Troll right? (Sorry if repost)
  5. Bingo. If you fall in love with a QB, go after him. If you don’t think they are worth #9 or the cost of trading up, then drafting a QB just to draft one seems dumb. This is all putting the cart in front of the coach/combine/pro day/interview/etc cart though.
  6. He played like a man possessed in the second half. He was finishing blocks and burying dudes. I think I recall a play where Chubba ran behind him for 6-7 yards while Mays mauled the dude in front of him.
  7. Cade Mays was absolutely finishing the poo out of his blocks on Sunday (after Corbett went down). Kid could end up being another Norwell.
  8. Keep in mind that you having this opinion will be labeled as the “cause” if we don’t trade up for a QB. That’s BigKat logic at least.
  9. I swear; so many people anchor their opinions of players one game at a time. Sam had an awful game, so fug him. If there was another game this week and he bounced back, people would want him as a bridge again. It’s just so fickle.
  10. Tanking works in the NBA when a Lebron is in the draft. The Hornets are trash in a great year to be trash. Doubt they get Wemby because Hornets, but still. Teams are small. You need stars. Tanking in football isn’t the recipe though. Too many players. Too much of a team game. Coaching/scheming matters more.
  11. Thinking the Texans situation and our situation was comparable. What a joke.
  12. People rooting for the team really fuged up the draft. Those bastards!
  13. No ones knows, but I thank Wilks for giving us something to actually watch. He did well as an interim with a staff/roster that largely wasn’t his. We didn’t make the playoffs, and we won the last game when the season was already over, so people are salty. But he did well. The people shitting on Wilks are probably the same people who poo on Burns after we didn’t trade him. It’s more about other things than personally about the man himself.
  14. Matt Rhule won’t be the coach. Gotta focus on what matters most.
  15. This probably isn’t the way others look at this, but here’s my take: We will hire Wilks, or someone else. And Wilks, or someone else won’t be Matt Rhule. Therefore I will be excited for Panthers football in 2023. Hell yeah.
  16. Yeah I’ve gotten my hopes up for Harbaugh before…I’m trying to be as zen as possible right now. Just going to assume it won’t happen.
  17. You know Baker didn’t come to mind at all for me lol. Either my mind is trying to protect me from the memories, or he is such an obvious answer that my mind wanted to think of other players. Chinn is up there but he got hurt and is being used incorrectly. So I give him a pass. To me, it’s two guys that share it. Two guys we needed to take a leap and step up, and if they did, the defense would have been on another level. YGM (the size of Cam but invisible). Dude plays patty cake out there. Henderson (every physical gift athletically, but poor decision making and lack of effort). Camp MVP. Remember those days?
  18. When you thought you couldn’t like Heinicke any more…he goes and does something like this.
  19. You can see what you want to see. Absolutely he has plays where he gets stopped. Everyone does. I can find many examples of Garrett getting stonewalled by a rookie LT in his first NFL game. These guys are pros against pros. Burns wins enough that he’s one of the best pass rushers in the league. This is the way it is. Burns was a great draft pick and is getting better each year. Fantastic player; thus the trade offer. Also, if we took the trade offer, we win or lose that trade based on whether or not we nail those picks. That wouldn’t have been known for a few years. I’m happy to have Burns, and think his brightest days are ahead. It only sucks (for the cap; it’s great for him) that we will have to pay him a bunch, but that’s how it goes. You pay your best players and get creative with the surrounding talent.
  20. You are what you eat. You is what you ate. Bo time all next week for science.
  21. At least he knows he isn’t creative enough to “sick burn” back.
  22. Stay calm don’t get your hopes up…stay calm don’t get your hopes up…stay calm don’t get you………..
