  1. Go get him!!!!! Put him next to Woods and move Chinn back where belongs.
  2. Wasn't he top 1-2 in his class? Pretty sure 95% of outlets had him going in the first round. He has top 10 traits ...but his ability hasn't matched up to his performance. His instinct were pretty damn good at Florida...not so much here. Literally reminds me of Norman in year 1-2 before his mvp preseason...minus the confidence.
  3. Without an offseason...still cant wrap my head around it... kudos to that man
  4. Rotflmao..... Brilliant sir!!!! Damn I needed that.
  5. Nah that was great pass. That would be equivalent to that Matt Corral net throw in training camp... just move the net back about 40 yards. Most QBs cannot make that throw. Especially with the game on the line. Helluva throw....helluva catch. Catching that wasn't exactly easy either. We've seen shorter punts muffed while facing the ball. He may not be the answer but his last two games will without a doubt earn him a job in the future somewhere.
  6. Ontop of film study and practicing your technique I'd like to believe having that mindset would pay dividends.... even subconsciously.
  7. I'm trying to find that graphic they displayed on the screen during the game. I just remember seeing Derrick Henry as #1, Cmc as #2, Donte and Chubba also listed among the qualifying college running backs. I just cant recall the title they were talking about. As for Chubba... he is the more explosive option. Foreman is who you bring in after the defense is gassed. He's a bruiser that's sneaky fast. Chubba is the speedy - can run one in if he hits the hole type. If he has an initial hole to run through, he's actually pretty dangerous. He hasn't had that enough here to show that ability since we drafted him. The last TD he scored comes to mind. Chubba behind this line is a different player. Or at the least "should" be. Foreman is who he was last year, Rhule just didn't have the smarts to use him. I thought at the very least he'd b used near the goal line and in short yardage situations... nope.
  8. Big bodies... I think they've shifted that to the TEs across the league. With WRs being primarily quicker/faster and shifty. Bigger dudes usually have a problem with routes which leads to a difficulty seperating. ATL has Pitts who "should" be an absolute monster in the redzone yet he only had a couple TDs on the year going into yesterday We also have TE's for that. Specifically one which is 6'4 and currently being paid an obscene amount of money for the skillset he offers. I can't even picture Ian high pointing a ball. Sullivan & to a lesser extent Tremble I can see, however. TMJ is what I expected to be our redzone threat since we drafted him. At LSU that certainly was the case. He definitely has the physicality and hands for it. You can tell we've been practicing to make him more of a factor. One could argue he would have caught both balls if the placement was slightly different. Either way I like where we're heading in that regard. Redzone/short distance has been problematic for this team for a minute... and tbh, Cam and JStew bailed us out ALOT in the past. Funchess wasnt consistent but he was our last true "redzone threat" at WR...iirc
  9. The thing is, had Donte stayed in the game I doubt Byrd scores, makes that reception or is even targeted. And I've been pretty critical of Jackson this season. BUT as soon as he went down, Byrd got called. Which was directly in CJ's zone. Bad angles all around. Henderson made a couple great plays on the ball. That jogging stood out as I noticed it right before a half dozen text messages hit my inbox about it. He does have the talent and the physical tools. In college he had the confidence and instincts as well ...the two things that haven't quite translated to the NFL. The potential is there but will be reach it? ...My prediction: as he gets more reps he'll improve. Last season he was behind Donte, Gilmore and Bouye in his sophomore "slump" season after having minimal development in Jax. He's still about halfway into his 3rd season..it took Brown 8 less games to become a consistent factor so I'd say like to think it's possible.
  10. He had another play late in the game on 3rd down where we pushed his man towards the open lane the rb was hitting and one arm tackled him. I can gladly say...I knew it.
  11. I mean even if you dont, I'd bet money his confidence is BROKEN from this point on. Remember when Gano was pretty clutch until he wasnt... this is that. And its what we have to deal with the remainder of the season.
  12. Funny thing is, My optimism level on what this team "could" be hasn't been sky high lately. But after that game and locker room the last time I felt like this was ironically last season vs. Arizona... anybody wanna guess who the QB was that game? I'm not saying he's the final answer as I've seen him have Sam level int meltdowns in the redzone but he might give us the best chance. I'll have to wait and see how he plays once he's really gameplanned for and DC's get a look at his tendencies. BUT if he goes on a tear after being brought in and locked on the 3rd string for 2.5 years as we went through numerous options, Rhule would without a doubt go down as the most idiotic coach in NFL history lol. I think PJ actually might have been one of the first moves he made.
  13. Which one was in charge of blocking VV? Must admit they did a damn good job. I stick with story we are a HC/OC/QB away. We do need see if we can resign Boze long term if he keeps it up. Best center play I've seen in a while. Makes me wonder who else is on the bench????
  14. Tank is not a dirty word?? Lol ... maybe not but it definitely has long lasting effects and consequences if caught. And while probably suprised, If Tepper wanted to tank, McAdoo would have been named head coach. You cant tell grown men playing for their future to tank. Or expect an interim who may not get another chance to head coach to do the same. That's VERY hard to accomplish. Unless you stash half the squad on IR. Hell, I'd assume half the players hate the draft anyway. As while the influx "could" make a team better..it also pushes out the previous. One of the reason we won: After trading CMC, the message put out by sports media and social media lit a fire in that locker room. Idunno but if I'm a player I'm not playing to lose intentionally. Study film all week and practice just to purposely let the man down next to me while taking repeated hits to the body for 60 minutes/3 hours. Now while I understand the fuel for the ultimate goal, nothing is set in stone either way. Let the cards fall as they will. No matter where you stand on the spectrum, you shouldn't be targeted though. It's still just ur individual opinion at the end of the day. I'm just saying ...We have a #1, #3 overall, a 3rd rounder and an UDFA listed as our Qb's currently. Which one is currently the starter? I just think it's too many variables for that mindset.
  15. I'd doubt it unless his numbers increase. He has alot of comp too...but he is starting to create a buzz at his position. If he keeps up his play it's possible. Maybe as an alternative player at best though. Esp with our W/L record as it is. I actually didn't think Burns was going to make it over Reddick so who knows. His play has been impressive.
  16. I see a couple people saying if Evans wouldn't have dropped that pass it would have been a different game. WELL ... It also could have been a different game if we didn't drop those 3 picks we were gifted.
  17. And this ....as I've heard is partly why Dunlap wouldn't sign here. Also why I'm assuming Perryman was happy to leave last year. The Bozeman situation is strange. You'd think Campen would have suggested the move over Elf to Wilks before the Rams game.
  18. No I can believe it. Looking at what he did at LSU he's definitely a top 10 WR in school history. Iirc he was #1 ranked recruit coming out of highschool and even Jefferson admitted TMJ was the better player between the two. Has little to do with how they'll end up as pro's but the talent is there. Underutilized talent but thats not his fault. And he's only in his 2nd year but its entirely possible he has that 3rd year skill jump also. Even if he doesn't, he needs to play so we atleast know what we have at the position.
  19. Has to play with your mind to watch Jefferson, Chase, and Burrow all ball out while you struggle to even get an opportunity. And for all the stupidity we dealt with regarding the former head coach atleast I can say this: He kept TMJ on the 3rd team, which I'm assuming actually helped his chemistry with PJ. When asked who was most improved on the team this offseason McCaffrey answered TMJ. I refuse to believe this is a Dwayne Jarrett situation. I think he was in Rhule's doghouse for whatever reason. Right next to Bozeman, Higgins and Robinson.
  20. Offensive focus: Running Backs in the 2nd: Gibbs (I'd LOVE this as a pick) or Evans... maybe Tucker..Gibbs is just a playmaker. If they're waiting later on to shoot at rb: Achane (he's small but his acceleration is off the charts, think Tyreek Hill at rb and returns)...Chase Brown is another solid option WRs in the second: My pick: Jordan Addison... I'm guessing as the draft gets clearer he'll probably slip into the backend of the 1st. Wouldnt be mad at: Demus Jr from Maryland, Boutte from LSU or Njigba out of OSU. TE: There is a chance Mayer and All slip into the top of the 2nd...Sam LaPorta in 2nd would start immediately...if not I'd start looking in the third for either Georgia TE's. 2nd: LaPorta out of Iowa. Darnell Washington in the 3rd ...Massive man. Big redzone target ... Gilbert in the 4th... his off the field issues will probably cost him alot of $$ on draft night... I'd take that risk with a 4th or 5th. Borderline 1st round talent. Jaheim Bell: Plays how I always envisioned Ian Thomas playing. If we were to come out of the draft with: Stroud, Gibbs, Boutte/Jaxon Smith, and Gilbert or Bell...this offensive bs would be solved overnight with a creative OC. We still need a MLB and a complete edge defender opposite Burns but I'm guessing we'll FA target that.
  21. W3lp..Good news is.... in 2026 Arch Manning will be draft eligible. But my guess is if we had the #1 pick he'd stay in school another year.
  22. Overthinking it. And I'm not a fan of drafting non-SEC qbs but Stroud is the guy to me...(at this moment).. Besides skill, accuracy, Whoever ends up coaching is going to fall in love with his leadership ability.. Furthermore... with the first 4 picks we could solidify our entire Offense. AND I gotta say as a side note this the perfect draft to need a playmaker. Assuming we got that #1 pick...Realistically w/ luck we could leave the draft with Stroud/Young @ QB, Jahmyr Gibbs/Evans @ RB, Demus Jr/Addison @ WR and Jaheim Bell @ TE. Spend the rest of draft on defense. Free Agency focus should be on Edge, Middle Linebacker and db depth. We could bargain bin and find the right guys...i.e Luvu. We NEED playmakers on offense and tone setters on Defense..... but then again ...I'm not in the FO.. just my 2 cents. The board would probably have a melt down though if the day 1-2 draft was strictly offense. I've seen enough batted balls this season. But who the hell knows, Cam led that statistic the beginning of his MVP year. And while Baker was leading the catergory, Josh Allen was only a couple away from taking that designation.
  23. The Kelvin Benjamin effect... I doubt it this time but it's possible.
  24. Yea I kinda dont think we're tanking. Unless half the defense lands and stays on IR... This Tampa game will tell you all you need to know. McCaffrey being 75% of the offense last Sunday is starting to make a little more sense now. Ofcouse McAdoo couldnt be that stupid..They were showcasing his talent and current durability to suitors. Hell I recall one play early on he got absolutely drilled by Rapp and I had no doubt Foreman was subbing in. But nope...... we fed him more and he ended up breaking free and stiff arming Rapp the next play. I dont think the Rams even thought we'd be reckless enough to call another run play to our injury prone star rb directly after that collision. I honestly said to myself, somebody is trying to prove a point. IF my theory is actually true and that last game was indeed somewhat of a CMC showcase then I expect this week will be totally different. We'll be airing it out alot more with PJ. AND as silly as it may seem, we could still technically suprise a few teams. Stout D when rested... Oline starting to look really serviceable... WRs: We still have Moore, Shenault, Terrace Marshall, Shi Smith, Higgins, Saunders... enough to get the job done. RB: Foreman (filled in for Henry last year and did a suprising good job), Chubba (meh), Blackshear (who ironically reminds me of McCaffrey-lite in his movements which makes sense why we stole him from the Panthers North) QB: PJ (handcuffed 60 yard version) ... But PJ has shown he can win a game when given a competent play pool.. Eason(need a bigger sample size), Baker and Sam. It's still fair to say we're an QB (Go PJ minus the checkdowns), HC (who knows what Wilks can manage) and OC (get him an assistant) away from that #1 pick becoming a top 8-15 pick this season. Hell we played the last 2 seasons without McCaffrey and still didnt even sniff #1. Summary: It will be harder to maintain that #1 spot then alot of people realize. I'd pump the breaks on that type talk until the bye week. There is still alot of football left. Sidenote: McAdoo calls another game like last week then hell yeah we're tanking.
