Can someone explain how this can be a thing?
Khyber53 replied to 1of10Charnatives's topic in Carolina Panthers
Basically, it's like the power rankings. Some dude works up the list and turns it into his editor. The editor then goes, "You're missing a couple of teams. Isn't there one called the Panthers? Put that one in somewhere." The dude goes back and slaps us somewhere into the bottom third of the list with the other forgotten ones and the two really bad teams. -
7 saints coaches 2 players out for saints

Actually, I'm not sure if our o-line really is trash anymore. They withstood the Jets front four pretty well (and that's a good group). This game should tell us a lot, though, as the Saints are pretty good up front. If they can keep it to two sacks or less on Darnold, that could be a good sign. Last week they were decent to good, but can they hold up with the Saints defensive backs making the routes slower and the openings fewer? -
After one game (and a win at that) I'm not ready to give up on this season. Not sure why anyone would and start looking down the road at being competitive next year. This might be the perfect time for our team. We're young and vastly underestimated. And, for right now, we're healthy across the board. Great run game, high potential in the passing game, defense looks promising and we've got a coach that needs to prove something. That can be a recipe for success. Let's play this season out and see what happens. It's a longer year than ever before in the NFL and we could find our young team still has legs as the season nears its end and we face our toughest opponents. No one expected our other two Super Bowl runs, so why not hold out a bit of hope this year? We've got who we've got. And honestly, who we have is a pretty darned good bunch of guys. If the ball falls the right way, that's what you need to win. Win big even. Maybe.

It's a great story and the kid has moxie to spare. If he can stay healthy, he can make it interesting in Washington. They ranked him as the 32nd best starting QB in the league going into this week on NFL.com. They'll have to seriously rethink that for next week's rankings. And Daniel Jones didn't look bad, either. That Giants team, though, just isn't ready for winning yet.

Of course it is, but if the game is still in doubt, you don't sit your best man. And we're going to have a lot of games that are going to come down to the very end of the fourth. Heck, it is apparently required for the Thursday Night Football games this year to go down to the wire. (Monday, too!)

Sure! Let's not say discouraging words, either!

Official Saints at Panthers Predictions thread!
Khyber53 replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
We're going to find out that the Packers were quitting on Aaron Rodgers just like he was quitting on them. The Saints will have a few more Covid casualties before the game. I'm going to take the rare idea that we win in a blow out. Panthers 31 Saints 9 -

Think Nick Saban wouldn't kill a dude to win a game or two?

Big, big guy playing in this heat and humidity for a full game might not be the best thing for Brown. Not sure that's the reason, but it would be a good one and looking down the long, long road to that 17th game... we can let him slide for a few weeks.

He was the king of the shaggy dog story. Smart guy. -
Thomas Davis on Good Morning Football + the Tie Debacle is settled!

He did win it but by the time it was won, the damage was done. Remember how Gettleman like was canned in training camp? And they brought Hurney back in because of his familiarity with the system? Ownership just made a hash of it. -
We all do, buddy, we all do.

It's not to the deluxe apartment in the sky yet. The beans will still burn in the kitchen if we aren't careful.

Why do I feel this won't be our last change up this season at K? Good luck to him, he's our guy for as long as he can hold onto the job. It's like riding a tiger right now, one bad buck and you're toast.

Players play. Coaches don't get paid to keep their best players on the bench. Injuries happen to even the most coddled assets. The greats want to be on the field, you can't keep them off of it and you don't want to see the great being kept off the field. CMC is one of those guys.

True, but we all know that person who invites you over for a cookout and tries to serve you eye of round steaks. They don't mean to serve you inedible food, they just don't know what is good and just shop by price. There's apparently a fine art of selecting linemen and we aren't showing much talent in that art.

This Sunday, we will begin the process of returning the Saints to their classic iteration, the pre-Drew Brees Saints. Sooner or later that voodoo mambo is gonna come looking for Sean Payton's heart to settle that debt and he'll be dragged back deep into the bayou.

We need more red zone practice. Teddy was right about that.

Hate to hear of anyone getting injured, but it'll help us for now.

And that right there is why casual fans never understood the magnificent play of Chris Gamble. Quiet guy who just shut down half the field on every passing play. If Horn ends up almost as good as Gamble, then we're going to be doing great.

If your worst DB only gives up four receptions for 58 yards and no TDs, well, man, your team is doing well. And we actually saw Jackson in on making tackles. That's a huge improvement for him. Jackson is fine.

Hope he recovers quickly and fully. He was holding his own out there.

Brown and Gross-Matos sack. This is really cool.

I'm amazed his guts didn't squirt out like a stepped on tube of toothpaste with those guys on top of him. Tough kid.
