  1. Oh my. Is one of the bully posters mad? Lol. No matter. For some reason it makes you upset that Stroud has a following. You’re just one of those old dudes that hate when folks get attention and want to be contrarian. It’s ok. I’m not stopping you. I didn’t even quote you.
  2. Yep. What a time back then. Wish it was easy to go back and pull posts lol. There was quite a few on the “Dareus or trade down” trade. It’s pretty much the same people who are now saying there are no QBs in this draft worth making moves for.
  3. Appreciate your posts OP. As for the topic at hand, I think treating Carr as a “bridge” is only going to disgruntle him, and I don’t think it’s what he’s looking for. If you are going after Carr, then you have to and need to fully commit to him. Picking him up, signing him to a contract that’s probably around 35 mil, and then drafting a rookie at 9 doesn’t make much sense.
  4. Do whatever it takes to bring in Stroud or Young.
  5. 37.7 mil will surely get up to around 40 when he’s actually signed. That’s a no for me, dawg.
  6. And I’d bet Tampa ends up with that #1 pick and Caleb Williams next year. They’re going to be bad. I don’t want Carr at all. Would rather go draft, but if the panthers bring him in, I hope it works. I doubt it, though.
  7. His lack of playoff experience and success is worrisome. Also, the quickest way to annoy Carr if you pick him up, is drafting a QB. You’re going to have to commit to him, paying between 35 and 40 mil(more than likely), if you’re going after him. I don’t want. Would rather take a shot in the draft. Would rather go after Stroud or Young.
  8. The 9th pick for Fields? Hell yea, I’d do that deal. It’s not going to happen, though. Chicago would be foolish to give up on him now. So since it won’t happen, I’m still all in on going up for Stroud.
  9. It’s a gamble, I don’t think we can wait on any longer. Next year, there will probably be more teams in the pool needing a QB as well. I think ATL will give Ridder another shot, but he’s meh. I could see them going for it next year(if not this year). No telling what happens with the Saints and this whole Carr ordeal. They could be in the pool. Not to mention Seattle, Den will be more willing to pull the trigger on a QB as Wilson’s cap hit is a tad bit more manageable. They could build a package to get in the QB game. The NFC is full of teams that need QBs. Yea, it’s probably time to start swinging now, as it looks you have 4 bonafide 1st rd QBs. You wait till next year, and you’re taking a chance on QBs that are likely to be mid round guys
  10. If we’re in position to get Caleb or Drake next year, then Reich might not be that guy we thought. Wilks got us to 6 wins. Identify your QB, and go get him this year. Tepper, like most of us, isnt trying to sit through another “sacrificial” year. Especially since this team can’t even tank right, and most of those that are on the “wait till next year” wagon, don’t want to “tank” anyways. Dudes want to wait until next year, all to just say the same thing they’re saying this year, or suggest trading back into the 3rd or 4th for someone like CCU’s McCall lol
  11. Carr would throw a fit if the new team he goes to drafts a QB early. He is going to go to a team that is willing to fully commit to him. All this, let’s sign Carr then draft a QB isn’t realistic at all.
  12. Darnold’s problem is he’s also not a very accurate QB. Now, most QB’s, especially on here, when they are deemed to not be accurate, they aren’t given room for any chance to toss that label. Darnold has been in the league 5 years, and his accuracy hasn’t really improved.
  13. If the knock on lamar is his lack of playoff wins, then why would we want Carr? He’s had much better pieces than Lamar, and he’s going to cost you 30 to 35 mil a season. You won’t have to give up draft picks, but many on the huddle wouldn’t want Lamar even if we didn’t have to give up picks. I also don’t understand how some of those same posters feel Lamar won’t ever be anything but a “running” QB, but feel Darnold could evolve with better coaching, when he’s a worse passer than Lamar.
  14. Lived right outside of Biloxi for years. Favres hometown of Kiln is 30 mins from my parents crib. Hell, his hometown is full of poor folks. My little bro went to Mississippi State, so visiting him is how I saw the rest of the state. Yea, it’s real sad.
  15. I like Lamar. He’s an elite QB. With that said, I’d rather use our capital to move up in the draft for Stroud or Young.
  16. I’d trust him and his analysis more than I’d trust Huddler that said for some reason there’s no QBs in this draft worth going for Especially since he’s our QB coach
  17. This is a bit personal for me, as I spent a lot of my childhood in Mississippi. I also know of Favres people. Went to school with some of them on the coast. Hes trash. You don’t know how poor that state is until you actually go and spend some time there. He and the state are foul as hell. He won’t get punished like he should. Them good ole boys out there will do their best to limit damage to him
  18. If it takes 3 1sts to get up there, then you give up 3 1sts. F**k it Again, your QB coach says this guy reminds him of Burrow. They better go get the guy. Chicago won’t mind going down to 9. There will be some great offensive playmakers available for them to choose from, as they need that bad.
  19. Our QB coach compared him to Burrow. lol at some of the posters in here saying there weren’t any QBs in this draft worth trading up for. We need to make a move up.
  20. If Stroud is seen to be on the level of Burrow by Mccown, then you have to go get him.
  21. Same ppl who will take to those aloof and lacks leadership rumors on Stroud, are the same ones who idiotically took to the fake smile comments about Cam lol
  22. Elite passing ability? Can make all the throws? Cam could do all that, yet you said you didn’t want another Cam or anything like him. Cam also had slightly better completion percentages. All this is laughable. Your posts, and most of your posts critiquing QBs are hogwash. Just say you like Sam, and those other guys, you didn’t like.
  23. You’ve always argued against QBs that we’re inaccurate. Sam isn’t an accurate QB, and you’re arguing for him. You also don’t have the excuse that he’s on our team. He’s officially a free agent.
  24. A lot of people love to get behind an underdog story. They see the rare times the underdog wins, blocking out that most of the times, underdogs lose. Sam is also a “good” guy lol. A guy who keeps his head down, and is a lunch pail guy. We have a lot of guys who really like that, and that’s what they want their QB to represent. That’s why I believe Sam has the small following he has. He’s not taking you anywhere, but by golly, they want to exhaust all options before giving up the dream we all is going nowhere lol. The same way you have some fans that want another Cam, you have some fans that want another Jake badly.
  25. Happy for Wilks. He’s got some weapons on that San Fran def. Good landing spot for him
