  1. I was good with the Frank Reich hire, so what do I know? We'll see.
  2. The Hornets/Heat rivalry is similar to the way a nail has a rivalry with a hammer.
  3. So it looks like Amazon stepped in at the last minute to prop up the Bally RSN's. So if you didn't have access to the Hornets/Canes, you can just do a $20/month add on at Amazon Prime. If I followed the Canes, maybe. But nah. https://deadline.com/2024/01/amazon-diamond-sports-regional-networks-sinclair-bankruptcy-1235795319/
  4. Nah. I watched enough bad football to hold me over until September.
  5. True, but the people still interested in cable skew much older. I watch tv on my flatscreen, and play games on my phone. My adult kids play games on their flatscreen, and watch tv on their phone. And if you're not into sports, there's really no reason to have live tv. So yes, cable is a viable option for now. But it's going the way of the dodo, eventually.
  6. It won't be a cable bundle, though. Cable companies are getting out of the tv business, left and right. It's more profitable to just be ISP's. There will be bundles, but they'll be streaming bundles.
  7. Better get used to it. I already pay the $6/month for Premier League content, so no big deal for me. The writing was on the wall when they started airing games on Amazon Prime.
  8. Yep. 2001 was a brutal season to watch, mostly because of all the close losses. Six losses by 3 points or less, and two more by 4-6 points.
  9. This also applies to the NFL Draft.
  10. To be fair, Fox was on his way out the door and had nothing to lose.
  11. We've had terrible seasons before. But we're the laughingstock of the league right now. Draft night 2024 will be our 28-3 moment.
  12. Additionally, the NFL was pushing purple as the team colors. The Richardsons managed to resist, but apparently Art Modell (Ravens) could not.
  13. But they were put in Charlotte. And have been here 30 years. Move them to Raleigh and they'll lose a big chunk of their fanbase. Ask the Canes fans in Raleigh if they'd still support them if they relocated to Charlotte.
  14. I'm guessing the NFL would want to revive the old Carolina Rhinos concept.
  15. Name all the bigger markets than Charlotte that don't already have an NFL team.
  16. Which city council are you talking about? Because, when it comes to footing the bill for arenas and stadium renovations, the Charlotte City Council has never been afraid to bend over for billionaires.
  17. So when does Charlotte FC begin playing? And how many weeks before they're eliminated from playoff contention?
  18. This is the only one I've watched so far, mainly because I'm a UNCC grad. Ended up being a great game.
