Draft Simulator (Lets see What You Got)
Bostonheelfish replied to Daddy_Uncle's topic in Carolina Panthers
Solidify O-line talent available so it’s guaranteed stout for the next 4-5 years. DE is so deep this draft, so use one of the 2nd round picks to fill that gaping hole in our defense. Then, get an offensive weapon or two. Sell the farm next year for Maye or Williams who will come into one of the best O-lines in the league and Frank Reich -
Draft Simulator (Lets see What You Got)

Really like Byron Young -
If top half of the draft goes QB crazy, there is going to be some excellent talent that could fall to us. I’d jump out of my chair if Paris Johnson, Tyree Wilson or Quentin Johnson fell to us. I’d much rather continue to build the lines and hell I’d be fine with picking a shutdown corner in the first (Gonzalez or Porter Jr.). We have a well built team, but we’re getting thin on the lines and if we can add some freaks to either side of the lines we’ll be set up very well for the next three years. Give Darnold time and we can win. Let’s not give up the franchise for some decent QBs in the draft when there is so much dynamic talent on the lines in this draft.

Lose when it matters, win when it doesn’t

You just cannot coach to lose. Ever. -
The draft board are now pretty much locked.

I am fine with drafting Jalen Carter at QB. -
Henderson for a 3rd is still a pretty great trade
-
I think this is best too. The defensive talent at the top of this draft is unreal. I’m not wild about entrusting the franchise’s next 3 years to any of these QBs. Trade back. Get the best player available in the middle of round one, and have all the ammunition in the world to go after the first pick next year to draft Maye. Maye is worth it.

Pick Jalen Carter and pair him with Derrek Brown. That is all. We have good talent and depth at DT but Jalen Carter is a once in a decade type DT. Waaay more talented than any of the available QBs

Welp… Stroud is the guy, right?

Levis all the way -
Where the CMC choice routes that made Darnold look good?
Bostonheelfish replied to restNChrist's topic in Carolina Panthers
Baker not great at hitting RBs on those routes because he needs to be able to throw it over tall Edges. -
As great as it would be to have him, we can't have top dollar invested in RB and MLB in the modern NFL unless they are CMC and Luke.

Stop. Now. Please.

Our big corners Henderson, Taylor, and Horn are going to come into use.

Key to the offence: Brady Christensen
Bostonheelfish replied to CanadianCat's topic in Carolina Panthers
If Brady can actually hold down the LT spot allowing Icky to smash at LG, then that would be awesome. -
Thor's defense is excellent.

100! Ball Durant Jones Thor and what's his face will ball for real
-
Jalen Williams and Davis, and keep Bouknight.

Mark williams and Christian Koloko
Bostonheelfish replied to Panthers8969's topic in Charlotte Hornets
Mark Willians length is cancelled out by a very mediocre vertical. If you watch his tape, he doesn't get much lift when blocking shots, so his functional wingspan is not as great as it would appear. I'm not sure I would pick him, especially with Jones and Thor on the roster. -
Official pick your rookie sleeper thread.

I think Barno has a clear path. There’s no real back up for Burns, and if he can come in for a few plays a game where all he has to do is pin his ears back, he can make an impact. -

2021 Carolina Panther's draft picks
Bostonheelfish replied to DaveThePanther2008's topic in Carolina Panthers
JC Horn - Takes a step back at the beginning of the season, but finishes strong and where we want him to be. T Marshall - Back-up. B. Christensen - Swing Tackle. T. Tremble - Same production as last year. C Hubbard - Will do very well behind the new offensive line when given the opportunity. D Nixon - 4-5 sacks. D. Brown - Should start but won't. S. Smith - Will not make the team. Rambo will flourish in the slot. T Fletcher - Cut. P. Hoskins - Backs-up Brown and plays very well. -
Zach Tom or Daniel Faalele for LT? Talk about struggling.

If Phil Hoskins and Daviyon Nixon continue on their trajectory, and we sign Clowney, I think we got something.
